Keirnan gave a little jump of surprise when she moved her hands, nearly going under a couple times as he tried to get himself to stay afloat without the added support of her hands. It took him a while to really get the hang of it, flailing a bit here and there before he found himself floating on the surface of the water in a rather contented manner. His eyes sank closed so that he could just enjoy the feeling that was floating...
From where he was watching June gave a little smile, glad to see the boy was enjoying himself and figuring out swimming. He hoped all the swimming would help to wear the boy out so that he didn't have to worry about Keir bothering his over tired older brother.

Floating was of course natural to the little goddess of air, so it surprised her a bit when it took him so long to catch on. Still, she let him figure it out, only interfering when she was afraid he was sinking too far.
"See? Lots of fun!" she giggled, splashing about a bit as she kicked her way around him in circles, "The rest's a little harder. You gotta float and move at the same time!"

Keirnan let his feet settle back down to the bottom of the pool so that he could watch the way that she was swimming around him. Floating was one thing but what she was doing now seemed a bit more complicated. He would have to move all of his limbs at once to be able to do it... and he wasn't sure if he could...
He watched her a moment more before he made the attempt at it... and went under... he flailed under the water to try to get himself to swim but was forced to stand up on the bottom and push up so that he broke the surface in a coughing fit. His first attempt at true swimming had been a bit of a failure...
He lifted a hand to his mind so as not to cough on anyone that was nearby, "O-Oops... t-that didn't w-work..." He said between coughs.

Zephyr flailed a bit, afraid to grab him when he was sinking in case he pulled her down too, but wanting to help. She breathed a sigh of relief when the boy got his bearings.
"Here, let's try slow floating so's you get a better feel for it..." she gently pushed up on the small of his back so that he was in a floating position, this time slowly so he could feel what it felt like to reach that point, "See? You just gotta sort've let go..."

Keirnan gave a little nod of his head, he took in a steadying breath and tried to relax as he felt the comforting feeling of Zephyr's hand on his back. He trusted her even if he had just met her, she was really nice and from where he was floating he could see his father through his peripheral vision.
"Better?" He asked of her when he tried once more to do the floating on his own. It really did feel almost like flying.
