She watched him carefully, coming stand upright as he spoke and tilted her head to the side, "You... would give the shadows a chance before burning them away with light? I know we are the ones who protect it.... but who protects you? Light alone cannot stand without a source."
She sighed heavily and drew nearer him, being so bold as to nose his shoulder, "I would like a better future..."

Bui sighed and nodded his head slightly, "Yes... I suppose that one should need help when it comes to trying to burn away the darkness. But if protecting the innocent and those we love means dying, then I can't help that feel it is worth it. One death for thousands." Of course, he had no intention of dying. If he could stick other warriors between himself and the enemy before he had to step in... well, that was the ideal.
He blinked when she nudged his shoulder. He wasn't used to that sort of touch, except from his sisters and his mother. "Yes... I want to build a better world if I can. I cannot see the future... but I see the present. I see what goes on... and I will not stand for it."

She had to agree with that.... she'd heard it was better to ensure the safety of the masses then to guarantee the life of an individual. But.... didn't that make them all dispensable? She wanted to think she was important some how.
With a smile, she bumped him once more, a little playfully, and moved to go off, "You're a good lion, Buibui." It was a moment before her dark form disappeared around a small ridge and left the pale inquisitor-to-be alone. He was an intriguing creature.... she fuond she liked him.
Perhaps he would be her first friend. That would be nice.

Bui tilted his head a little as he watched her go. A good lion she had called him... And he supposed that was what he wanted to be. Someone others could look up to... someone who could show others the way of the 'good' and change the world forever. To leave his mark...
...and that girl had seen it. How odd that was, truly. Something that even his mother had trouble seeing sometimes, and that girl knew that he was truly 'good'. In an odd way... Bui was pretty sure he had just made a friend outside of his own family.
