Galleai returned the confused look tenfold. Returned? Where were they supposed to have been? "Maybe we were visiting another country." She whispered to Josh. "Or maybe a wicked witch kidnapped us." At the thought of kidnapping Gal felt a faint, guilty pang in her chest. But this was the dream-world. "Or maybe we've been off saving people."

"Or maybe they're confused..." Josh whispered back. "Maybe they just think we're who they're missing.." Well, if they weren't the real prince and princess, they would have to go find them. But how would they get away from so many people?
The group led the two into a throne room. "Your parents wish to speak with you," One said, pushing Joshua forward.

Standing a step or two behind Josh, Gal peered around him at the two figures sitting on opulent thrones at the end of the room. The king was massive and muscular with a long beard that was divided into two sections and wrapped with gold wire. The queen was lean and beautiful with clever, gentle eyes.
"My son!" The king boomed. "You've returned! We never thought we would see you again! And you've rescued your sister!"

Josh was about to tell the king that he'd made a mistake, and that he wasn't his son, when he was pulled into a hug by the queen. "We're so proud of you," She murmured. "Going on that quest.. against the pirates.."
Josh didn't know what to say. He looked at Galleai helplessly.

Galleai shrugged helplessly as she was swept into an embrace by the King. "Oh, dear girl, it must have been terrible!" He said in his big voice.
"It... was?" Galleai responded, not sure what else to say. "It was awful. But Josh saved me!" She added. That seemed to be what everyone thought had happened. Maybe the'd both missed that part of the dream.

The queen released Josh from her embrace. "You must be tired," She said, nodding at him. "After all that traveling.. You should rest before the festivities tonight." She told him of how they were going to throw a feast in celebration. Perhaps a ball as well.
Josh could only nod. He didn't know what else to do. He couldn't tell her that he hadn't saved anyone.
The king smiled at Gal. "You're safe now," He said, putting a large hand onto her head. "You're safe."

Gal gave Josh a grin. "C'mon." She said, "lets go get ready for the ball." She grabbed his hand and tugged him out of the throne room. Instead of entering the hallway, they entered a big sitting-room area that clearly belonged to the royal children. Closing the door behind her, Gal turned to face Josh. "I wonder what all this is about? I guess you saved my life." She grinned. "Thanks, brother."

Josh gave Gal a confused look. "But I would remember saving someone.." He started. Then he remembered. This was dream. "But I don't know how to dance. And you're supposed to dance at balls.." He complained, before pausing to ask, "Do you know how to?"
Joshua assumed she did. She was a girl. After all, his mother could dance, while his dad... well, he tripped.

"Thats the magic of dreams. If dancing is a part of the dream, then you already know how to dance." Gal smiled at him and gave a little twirl. "You might not be able to do it in the waking world, though. I can swim here, but I don't know how to swim in the real world." She gave another spin, pleased with how her princess-dress belled out around her. Maybe she'd start dressing like this more often, despite it's impracticalities. "Just try it. I bet the know-how is already there."

Joshua nodded, what she said made sense. "So.. if we want to do something in a dream, we'll be able to do it?" He asked. "Even if we can't do it normally?" He liked the prospect, though he was somewhat wary of trying to dance, especially in front of a girl. It just wasn't happening. Never.

"Mostly." Galleai agreed. "Sometimes even if you want to do something you can't. Usually because you dont know you're dreaming. But all you have to do is remember that it's your dream and that means you're in charge and then you can make anything happen." She smiled. "It's not so hard once you get the hang of it, you know." Though it was unclear wether she meant controlling your dreams or dancing.

Joshua was confused, but he tried to hide it by smiling and nodding. Like he'd seen his mother do when talking to his father. Useful tatic, really. He felt the need to ask a question, anyway. "So... If I wanted to go to the ball with a certain person, I could make them show up?" He asked.
"Children," Came a voice. It was soft, and pleasant to the ear. "Children, dinner's ready."

Gal had opened her mouth to answer his question when they got called to dinner. "We'd better go." She grinned. "Our public awaits." Grabbing his hand she tugged him towards the door, leaving his question unanswered for the time being.

Joshua frowned. He knew he'd been about to get an answer when the nurse called them. She should have known better than to interupt them! Though, he was hungry..
He allowed Galleai to lead him to the door. There had been several tables set up, and they were full of people and food. "Princess!" A few said excitedly, pointing at Gal. "The princess has returned!"

Grinning, Galleai gave a little curtsey. This princess stuff was fun! Though coming into the dream while battling kidnapping pirates would have been fun too... From the corner of her eye she glanced at Josh. She'd been sort of glad for the interruption because she wasn't exactly sure how to explain how it worked. The differences between a dreamer and a true dreamer and a dream walker. As they were seated at a long banquet table she found herself wondering if the person he wanted to meet was someone she knew as well.
