its pretty easy if you use the Character Generator.
as for 3.5 I'm sure its fine and all, but as a relatively new D&D player its very complicated to understand. 4E is much easier to pick up.

but i finally got use to 3.5 lol w/e it is easy ^_^ but they dont have weopon finness as one of the feats... and that is critical for me

well you might not be able to use Dex when making Melee Basic attacks...
but I think all (or at least most) Rouge powers use Dex instead of strength.

It looks like we have a Warforged Barbarion, and an un-raced Rouge, plus me (Cleric or Wizard).
still need at least one more player i guess, unless warblade is going to play a character and DM.
I guess I'll plan on being a Cleric unless someone else wants the job, either class would be fine with me. I'd really like to try Invoker but they only have powers up to level 4... so I'll have to wait for the PH2 to try them out.

I have no Idea on any thing about 4.0 but I am willing to learn. If you guys say to much to teach then that is fine too.

I don't mind helping you out. I'm still fairly new to it myself.
You might want to try downloading the character generator off the WoC website. you need a subscription to D&D magazine to get the full version, but if you don't you can still play around with the trail version which lets you make characters up to level 3.
and if you don't already have one, you should probably get your hands on a 4E Players Handbook.
do you have any ideas about what type of Class you might want to play?

I would probably keep it simple for my first game and do something like a fighter/ archer.

I don't know too much about playing fighters or Rangers, I usually prefer to play caster characters.
but from what I hear, Fighters are pretty simple. You stand on the front lines and beat things with a stick until it stops breathing.
I don't know how complicated Rangers are but they have two build options, Archer Ranger or Two-Weapon Ranger. I don't know much about them but from the names I think you could get the picture.
anyway looks like I'll be playing a Cleric then.

I personally loved playing a psychic character from Expanded psionics book in the 3.5. But I don't know if they are possible

Wizards have a few psychic spells, but they mainly focus on elementals like fire, cold, Lighting, etc.
Warlocks do some psy damage i think... but I don't know much about Warlocks.
Bards do alot of Psychic damage, there aren't a lot of Bard spells available right now, but most of then do Normal or Psy damage. one of them does Cold i think...
I'm looking forward to trying my bard out in two weeks, I think they will be fun.
