"Um...." The girl looked uncertain for a moment, crossing her arms and swaying slightly away from Reiga. "It has to be a secret. And I guess it'll just have to be backwards, me asking him out, because I don't think he'd ever ask me out. Because I'm... you know," she laughed awkwardly and gestured to the empty space where the rest of her body would have been, were she Porcelain or human.
"But it won't be a problem that I'm doing the asking, will it?" Lucretia added. Though she supposed that, if it was, she could always just haul the Porcelain in question off on his date anyway, in spite of whatever protests he might have. The Raevan doubted he would fight back once she had him in her talons.
(( Hopefully life is less crazy now? D= ))

Chuckling, Reiga followed her gesture. He honestly hadn't thought about that. The idea of a Porcelain being asked on a date by a...whatever Miss Lucretia was, had fully occupied his thoughts.
"Whether or not it is a problem depends on the Porcelain," he replied, "But, if you are curteous and explain the custom here, I do not think there will be much trouble. Simply make it known what the tradition is, and its purpose, and realize that he will probably be a little awkward about the whole thing."
Grinning, he flipped some stray hair back into place, "If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to ask. I give no guarentee my advice will be good, but I am more than happy to try and help."
((yep, it's calmed down a little. smile ))

Lucretia listened to Reiga's words and nodded slowly. It seemed a sound enough method and, well... more or less what she had originally been considering. More diplomaic, less like hunting. The girl smiled.
"I don't really understand the custom myself, but it's pretty obviously about being in love and not being alone, right? People don't like being lonely, and I don't like being lonely. Porcelain don't like it, either, right?" So far as she had seen, Kouyo appeared to stick very close to certain others.
Ah, hm, that could be a problem, couldn't it....

"Ah. No, Porcelain do not like to be alone," Reiga replied, his manner suddenly becoming much more subdued. Being alone was something he'd had more experience with than he liked.
"I think you are right, the custom seems centered around the idea of loving someone and wanting to spend time with them. All of the gifts are apparently supposed to show the person how much you care, so that they will not leave you alone." He wasn't really speaking to Lucretia anymore, or anyone for that matter. Unfocused eyes wistfully looked off to the side as he thought of another time and place. I wonder how well it works for the humans, he wondered. What does a human do if the person he loves won't let him take care of them?

Lucretia was silent as she watched the change come over the man, entirely unsure of what to do or say. Had someone left him alone, she wondered? Really not her business, though.
"... Roses and chocolates," she said suddenly after a long moment. "So I just need chocolates, and I'll have everything I need for this, I guess." The girl then frowned, pursing her lips as she thinks a moment, then asks, "Er, Porcelain can have chocolate, right? I've never met a human who doesn't like it."

The Porcelain was jolted out of his thoughts by Lucretia's sudden decision. "Hm? Oh!" he answered, rather embarrassed at how his thoughts had wandered. What had gotten into him? Thinking of that while talking to someone... roses and what?
"Chocolate? Er, what exactly is in chocolate? I have heard of it and seen it everywhere here, I know it is a kind of sweet or dessert, but I have never tried it," he said, apologetically. He would have to start sampling more Gaian cuisine... very carefully.

"Oh, chocolate is like a candy thing," she told him, drifting slowly back into the aisle of various red heart-shaped boxes of various sizes containing the treats. "Never really appealed to me, but then I don't eat like humans do. No idea what's in it...."
Lucretia reached up to select one of the boxes at random, flipping it over and scanning the back of it for the ingredients list. "Gaian food has a list of what's in it on the back, where it says 'ingredients', but most of the words don't mean a whole lot to me." The Raevan laughed a bit at herself; she was not ignorant, she just did not really care much about food. Still, if she was going to get some candies for her Porcelain, the Ice Rose at least wanted to make sure she would not poison him by mistake.
... Especially after what happened with her little tiny brother. Lucretia offered the box to Reiga, pointing out the cryptic list of things that had gone into the production of the candies. Then she glanced up at him and shrugged a little, and watched him expectantly with curious black eyes.

wildmistress1 Cautiously, Reiga took the box and inspected the list. He had managed to teach himself some of the Gaian writing, even recognized a couple of words on the box, but most of it was just a jumble of letters to him. "I'm afraid this won't help much," he grinned, "I don't recognize the words here. But, I suppose that as long as humans can eat it, it will be fine." He handed the box back to her. "Oh," he added, "as long as there is no milk." For his part, Reiga did not understand the human fascination with the drink. He had tried it once, and only once. It had been a very bad experience, one he would not wish on another Porcelain. Asahi Kumoru Lucretia shrugged again. "Some of them say 'milk chocolate' on the box, so I guess you should be fine if you just avoid those." She made note of his words, though, and decided to pick out chocolate without milk for the Porcelain she had in mind, as well, just to be on the safe side.
Once she had two boxes picked out, the Raevan watched Reiga for a moment before telling him, "Well, I guess I'm out of questions. Thank you and, uh, happy Valentine's Day?" wildmistress1 The Porcelain made a grand bow, tossing his hair back with a flourish, "You are most welcome, Miss Lucretia. It was my pleasure. A very happy Valentines Day to you as well, and to the mysterious Porcelain fortunate enough to have gained your attentions." "I look forward to meeting you again," he smiled up at her, "good luck with your date."
