MipsyKitten Sorry, but I didn't aim that at anyone specificaly in this guild or anywhere else. You chose to take it that way. I have no qualms with being called anti-life or pro-death, because I know I am neither. Not once did I attack anyone, instead, you are questioning me on how I've seen things to be a million times before. You're trying to find something that isn't there. No I'm not. You used the term Anti-Choice, reffering to the Pro-Life movement. Well, that would include every Pro-Lifer in here. You did not aim it at any one person, however, you did use it as a blanket statement describing -all- Pro-Lifers.

All of those reasons combined. I know I might not ever convert anyone to the Pro-Life side (on this site), but it's still fun to debate. I'm probably going to take my stance to the outside world when I'm old enough. I might spread the news about how "overpopulation", "women being reduced to slaves and Western-day common housewives & dishmaids if abortion is illegalized" are just myths, participate in Pro-Life meetings and such, or even take it to court. whee

I debate for Pro-Choice because I find it is a topic I feel passionately about, and someone I truly agree with. And I haven't really found any pro-life arguments that I haven't been able to find a counterargument, so I'd like to continue debating, and see if one pops up. I'd like to know if I'm right. I might try taking it to court in the future, if Roe vs. Wade is challenged as well. So it's also practice.
Also, chances are, if I'm unlucky, I might end up needing an abortion in the future, because I do want to be married - and sex that comes along with it- but I never want children. I know that I will use all the birth control that I can possibly afford, and precautions, but it's possible.
So I want to make sure that if such a thing comes to pass, I'm not forced to continue with a pregnancy, because I not only never want children, but giving birth would go against my belief that I shouldn't add to the number of humans already in the planet.
With that said, I also like to debate/argue.
