foxy1413 ChibiAngelwolf I would say it would be a close fight, but in the end Scar would be victorious. It isn't because of the arm, it is the....morals (I think thats the word i'm looking for). Ed has never killed someone before whereas Scar obviously has. Ed would hesitate to kill even if he has the desire to, he doesn't have the heart to.
Yeah,But anyways I think it would be a very good fight between Scar and Ed.Because Scar has his raw strengh (Have you seen the mucles on him?!) and his Arm O' Doom.And Ed had his Alchemy and also good combat skills
But I kinda think Scar would winYes i agree. Ed would kill if he were mad enough. Just like what he almost did to Tuker and not to mention POSSIBLE SPOILER------> He ends up killing greed just because he hid Al.

He did NOT kill Tucker, Tucker is alive. Al said he would kill Tucker, but really do you see Ed actually killing Tucker? No, I see Ed soon breaking down and crying and his strength giving way. And Greed was a mistake if I remember correctly. Ed was so shock and did he not call out to Greed and cry over Greed who he was to hate? Ed CAN NOT kill. He isn't the type of person who can stain his hands red and be proud.

I think Ed would win. Scar only uses his arm to kill, and Ed can use Alchemy and his automail. But I'm not so sure if Ed can kill someone. He did try to kill Tucker, and he did kill Greed. So who knows?

In form of saying, Scar would probably win because of his arm. Though at the episode when we first see Scar, Edward indeed almost got blown to bits with it.
Likewise though, depending if on Edward knew about Scar's arm or not during the spar of the fight it could change the actual outcome of the whole fight. Since we all know Edward can think on his feet and is a bright boy.
Though, that wouldnt mean that Scar wouldnt be able to grab one of his limbs and blow it from the inside out. Its all a matter of tactics.

Man all I'm seeing is scar will win well mostly but the polls say mostly Ed will win. Also You're forgetting one of the most important factors in a fight Sheer determination, like what does scar fight for? And what does Ed fight for? You have to think about the whole series cause ya see ed is fighting for the stone so he can become normal and so he can turn al back into a human and scar well hes fighting for revenge and for other reasons *POSSIBLE SPOILER Hes tryin to make a philosopher stone *END SPOILER so I'm going to have to stick with my vote for Ed because he's doin it for al and not just himself

If it depended just on strength with no reasons behind the fighting then Scar but I do agree with Grovey to a point, Eds reasons for fighting make him stronger and want to win more, unlike Scar who you know really doesn't kill for any pleasure just to do what needs to be done... sweatdrop

Ed 'cause he's the protagonist and my favorite character. Plus, Ed worked to get his powers. Scar just got 'em from his brother.

I'd have to say Scar. He did blow up Edward's automail, and Edward mainly uses alchemy to fight (only, do you always need to clap your hands before transmutating something?). Scar is also older, thus more experience, and Ed won't kill. Scar has a grudge againsts State Alchemists, so he won't go easy on Ed because he's young and small.
