*Swiftly finishes the stack before glancing at his lover through the corners of his eyes, his smile melting into a smirk as he toys with the book perched on the very top*
You know, Peter. *Lowers his voice further* Business is typically rather slow at this time of day… perhaps it could do with closing for an hour.

*Enters the shop sipping at his coffee mug, grinning upon seeing Remus* Richard, just the man I wanted to see.

*twitters a little in excitement* Really? We could? *smiles and sits up a little straighter* So--*pauses when Mort enters, and sinks back into his chair, opening his book again and blushing slightly*

*Hides his irritation behind a warm smile, shaking the America-accented man’s hand before gliding behind his counter and brushing his mouse to send his computer whispering in its struggle to wake from its blank screen saver* Something you’d like to order, Rainey? *Glances over at Peter again, a vaguely predatory glint in his eyes*

*looked up just in time to catch the look in Remus's eyes, and blushed again, smiling to himself and thinking of what they might do when Rainey eventually leaves as he looked back down at the book again*

Well, actually it's something more personal than a book.

Well, it's about May. I've got this book signing to go to, and she hates those, and her sitter canceled this morning and I don't know anyone else to ask.. It's just two hours, Richard.

You'd.. like me to watch her? *Draws away from the computer with obvious hesitation, his throat tense as he swallows, glancing at Peter* I.. suppose..

*stops himself short of shaking his head vehemently with a resounding 'no', not liking the idea of watching a child whatsoever, and instead took a moment of consideration, eventually nodding slowly yes at Remus when he glanced towards Peter, signaling that he'd be okay with it if Remus was as well*

Good, good. *Looks visibly relieved as Remus relents, glancing briefly at Peter to flash him a small smile of appreciation* Thank you.
Would four o'clock do?

*Gently withdraws his hand from Mort's grasp, continuing to feign a smile* Our pleasure, Rainey. I'm sure Peter and I can find some way to keep her amused. *Emphasizing Peter's involvement to remind Mort of his presence in Remus's life*
