Tch. "NOOO. Duh. He meant that...ugh, why am I bothering with this?" She was nutso! "He meant that we shouldn't waste!"
He pushed himself onto his paws, not even bothering to sit anymore. He was worried that the more he hung around her, he might...might catch this crazy sickness. He didn't really want to risk it, but he didn't just want to run away, either. He was above running away, thank you!
"What're you looking at now?" he asked, almost disgusted. It seemed like nothing was good enough for her. Tch.

Looking back and watching Skan's reaction, Maddie couldn't help but laugh. She wasn't serious when implying that his father had specifically spoken about her scheming, she generally didn't think people paid much attention to what she did and she was OK with that.
"You're too serious," she commented, "Lighten up a little."
She didn't bother answering him, definitely not expecting anymore help from him at this point. Shaking her head, she looked back to the crushed pile of flowers and got an idea. She leaned down and very carefully sniffed at the pile so they didn't fly into her nose. The scent.. that was it.
Glancing up, she smiled at Skan- then she lifted her head and deliberately stepped over him.
"Try being a little nicer next time," she warned, but then laughed, "Thanks for the help." Without another word or leaving him time to respond, she walked away. She could use the crumpled up bits of flower, but that would be hard to move! She would have to remember what was there and find some more- which was what she intended to do as she walked away.

"What?" He knew it would be unanswered.
The young lion cub just stood there, staring at her as she walked off. What was that?
Her? Telling him to be nicer? He busted out in laughter, falling on his back and rolling on the ground. The irony! He was being nicer than her! At least he tried to talk to her. It was her who made him act that way. Totally.
After he recovered from his needed laughter, he looked around again. He still didn't know where to go.
So he sat, and waited for his mother to pick him up. At least crazy!girl wasn't here anymore, so he'd only get in trouble for wandering off. He could deal with that.
