Elizabeth sighed and smoothed down her coat a little, calming down her anger, "I can't really say, that is something for Morgana to tell, if she wants to. All I can tell you is this. There has been such a drop in predators here in the reserve, it seems some otters have turned to....attacking other otters." she explained in a soft tone, wondering how this place came to be so. She remembered it used to feel so safe, but now...you couldn't tell if an otter you would run into would try be friendly or try to hurt you.

Quick eyes picked up on Elizabeth's anger even as the pirate king calmed it & herself. Relm was not fooled. Whatever had happened seriously upset the new elder female. Nodding Relm smoothed her own face. It had been more shock than expecting an answer that she had asked to begin with. Annoying as it was... Elizabeth was right not to tell her Morgana's problems.
Though it was very, very frustrating to Relm not knowing.
Especially when there was a potential new threat. A threat that when it boiled down to it had the former adventurer very protective of her family.
Elizabeth's 'warning' made her frown. "Predators I've never much worried about, what with Interceptor around." Other wolves tended to leave the war-wolf his territory, even without having their senses befuddled with Relm's pictomancer skills. "Wouldn't be the first I've heard of otters attacking otters..." Though the first since coming to the reserve... "I'll tell my family."
Her tone had turned hard, set, determined. Though still in ways a precocious girl Relm was also a mother now, which altered things. Like her family's protection coming before any 'game' that might interest her. The thought of Cid or Xavie meeting up with a dangerous otter, or even one of the two-trusting perma-pups that did not have the powers her grown-pups had, had her tense as if for a battle. Her tail flicked as the artist's paw curled tightly around her brush.

Though she didn't say it or give an indication that she was thinking it, Lizzy was impressed with how much Relm had grown. If you would have told her, before she had changed to an elder, that this little Angelic female would have a better listening ear, the Pirate King would have laughed at you. But she was glad she wasn't pressing for answers and seemed to be taking her warning of the enemy otters to heart.
"Things seem to be quiet for now, but sometimes I feel that is the calm right before the storm. If you should ever encounter any otters that attack you or any of your family, please send word to me as soon as possible. My son, Cornelius, he would probably wouldn't mind extending his patrols to out here." Lizzy offered.

Her ears flicked, defensively. Have Elizabeth's son come by? The pictomancer pondered this. There were benefits to them all being prepared and sharing information... but she did not care for the underlying sensation that somehow -intentional or not- her family's ability to keep watch over their own territory was being labeled inadequate.
Diplomacy... Relm. The seasoned adventurer reminded herself, breathing in deeply. She had come here to offer apology, not to take offense of something that may not be anything at all. Slowly she let the breath out, looking for all the world like she had merely been considering the offer. "If it's not too much trouble. We can also spread our patrols as well -maybe set up times to exchange news." Yes... that sounded like something Edward would try to do. Internally Relm rolled her eyes that she was taking any lessons at all from the actions of the playboy king, but she had to admit such things had their uses. It was just... her implementing them that girded awkwardly within her.
Roxas was sweeter at such things. But then again... Relm wondered if her sweet mate would have the stomach for it after all.
"I think Xavier is most often on the rounds that lean this direction." Green eyes had taken on the look of a tactician, making the still young mother look older and far wiser than her years.

Relm nodded her head, "That sounds like a good idea." She then looked up at the sky and then looked back down at the smaller female, "Well, I better get going, I have to check up on my granddaughter and see how she is doing." she then gave a soft smile to her, "It was good seeing you again Relm, I do hope we see each other again soon." she said. With a nod, she made her way over to the river and slipped into the water, swimming and then diving down, disappearing in a few ripples of water.

Yes it did, didn't it? Relm smiled and got ready to discuss or at least give times for those meetings and descriptions of their sons so that they would know each other. At Elizabeth's sudden informative comment that she would have to go the pictomancer actually just sat there dumbfounded. What the hell...? Where was the planning? Maybe the new elder had lost her sense when she became a grandmother -or maybe when she became an elder for all Relm new. Pity... Elizabeth had seemed to not have her head filled with as much fluff as some otters. It was a disappointment. But Relm smiled and nodded over her stunned interior and gave a wave, rolling her eyes only when the elder's back was turned and she was in the water. Whatever. She would simply have to inform her family to check with any strange otter near their territory (especially Xavier) to ask for names so they did not attack Elizabeth's son Cornelius since she had no description for which to give them.
Fool Elder didn't even give me a chance to paint her an image of Xavier. I hope she thinks better than that other times or we're doomed. Leaving plans only mentioned and half formed. Isn't she supposed to be some kind of leader? Maybe that Barbossa of hers will point out that flaw when she tells him, or maybe the son, Cornelius. If we're lucky, 'granny-genes' kicked in and such a slip is only that. Espers help us if it's a common thing! And you RELM! Shame on you for being so shocked that you didn't bring it up yourself before she got away. Really, caught off your guard like that! It's shameful! The pictomancer's thoughts were surprisingly equally berating as she padded back towards home, actually feeling better about the whole meeting than her thoughts seemed and than she had expected to be.
