Neoma nodded, “I’m sure she would have returned, I know I’d never abandon my babies…Oh, not that I have any of course! I just meant, if I had children I’d never abandon them for anything” she felt like a fool for saying that and decided to quickly change the subject, “So! My story…let’s see” she thought for a moment, “Well, while we’re on the topic of birds, I could tell you about the time Jeffrey, Moss and I rescued a baby bird, if you like?”
((Yay! ^^ Wanderer is so cute! I think if they were to ever breed their babies would be really cute ^^ ))

((Yeah, they would! biggrin ))
Wanderer nodded. "I'm sure you wouldn't. I do think I would leave them either...if I had some." He too didn't have children. Of course he hadn't met a lady that could keep in one place long enough for that.
"That sounds like a wonderful story. I'm all ears to hear it."

Neoma smiled, he really was a sweet guy, “Now let’s see, I believe it was late in the evening…no wait, it was early morning. That’s right! It was, because I had just finished my breakfast…sorry, I tend to babble when I get nervous” she blushed a little and tried looking everywhere but at him, “So I had just had breakfast and I heard Jeffrey playing his recorder in the forest nearby, I went over to meet him and Moss, who I then realised was there with him, and sat on a rock listening to the beautiful tune he was playing. When he had finished playing he bowed and asked if we had any favourite songs, then just as he was just about to start playing again we heard a strange sound from above us. There were low hanging branches in the tree but we couldn’t see anything. Actually, it was only after Jeffrey gave me a boost so I could look into the branches better that we discovered what it was” she paused, wondering if she should ask him what he thought it was, but figured she had pretty much told him before she had started, so she continued, “A baby bird had fallen from its nest and was hanging upside down from one of the branches, poor dear must have just managed to grab hold of on its way down. As soon as I told the boys what it was Moss started fretting, as he always does. Frankly I blame that on his dragon familiar. Ever since he got that dragon he has done nothing but act like a hippie and panic over anyone being hurt, and while it is good to be concerned for people and the environment, panicking never solves anything…oh, I’m sorry” she blushed brighter, “Anyways! Getting back on track here, so while Moss was running around in circles I got Jeffrey to lift me up a bit higher until I could just reach the little bird and once I had him safely in my hands Jeffrey helped me down from the tree. I explained to them that I could see where the nest was in the tree but I’m not a very good climber so Jeffrey, who is an extremely good climber, tucked the baby bird safely into his vest pocket and climbed up the tree, returning the bird safely to its nest” she smiled at Wanderer, “So really it was a group effort but I must admit I am really proud of our teamwork. Oh yes, and the mother bird came back soon after and fed the baby, completely unaware that anything had happened” she chuckled softly, “So that’s my story”
((Sorry, got a bit carried away sweatdrop lol ))

((lol That's okay, that's how a story would be, right?))
Wanderer listened intently. It was a wonderful story and he liked her rambling as he did want to know more about why Moss was getting so antsy. It helped to understand. Characters, if they are real or not, need to have their own back stories to understand why they are the way they are.
"That was a great story. I'm glad you are your friends were able to help out the bird. They must be great friends of your's. They sound fun." Wanderer nodded. That was one of his only regrets, he didn't stay anywhere long enough to keep a friend.

Neoma smiled, “Yeah, they are really great, my house is full to the brim with wonderful chandra though, you should come and meet them sometime” she decided to leave out the fact that she was more of a mother to them then a friend, as he would probably work that out for himself if he ever met them, “Soo…what are your friends like? Being an such a dedicated explorer you must have met loads of interesting people in your lifetime” she pulled her knees up to her chin and rested her head on them.

"I suppose I have. Many of the wild ones. Those that aren't bonded to humans." He had met them...well sort of. They didn't like to be bothered. "I have a human, I just don't hang around the apartments where the others live." he knew that if he ever wanted to stop 'wandering' he had an apartment for himself. "Still, none are really my friends. I haven't' stayed around long enough for that. Maybe you can be my first friend." Wanderer nodded and smiled towards Noema. He would like to be her friend. Maybe ever come back to see her again.

Neoma was shocked, “So you have no friends at all? That must be awful! ...Oh, I mean, sorry it’s just, everyone should have at least have one friend in their life. Someone they can turn to, and trust to be there when they need them most, someone to share your experiences with” As he asked if she would be his first friend she smiled sweetly and put her hand on his, “I’d love to”

Wanderer smiled at how upset she was. That was sweet that someone he just met would care for him like that. He shook his head as he understood what she was saying. "Okay, then I'll have to make sure I come by here more often. That way I can see you....and do all that stuff." He chuckled as he put his other hand on top of her's.

Neoma giggled nervously, “I’d like that very much”, and after a few seconds of hand holding took her hands back and tucked her hair behind her ear. She was feeling a little awkward and was blushing like a schoolgirl on a first date. “Soo…” she offered to break the silence, but really was sure where to go from there, “Isn’t it a lovely day today?”

"Oh, my yes it really is. Do you live around here? What is the best part of being around here? And can you show me?" Wanderer asked as he looked around himself. He liked to take in all the views before he moved on. That way he knew he saw the very best of the place.

Neoma nodded, “Well, sort of. My friends and I live in a house in the forest” she looked out to sea as she thought about his question, “To be completely honest, I think here would be one the best parts, though there is a stream near my house that is beautiful… although I’m sure you’ve seen many streams on your travels” she went back to hugging her knees, “I could show you it though if you’d like?”

Wanderer looked out to the water. She was right this was a nice view. He has seen other beaches but all were special in their own way. "I may have seen streams, but they are all different. Anyway, I haven't seen one with you." He nodded to her as he stood up. He held out his hand for her. "Show me!"

“Alright then” Neoma smiled as she took his hand and he helped her to stand, “Thankyou” she dusted herself off and beckoned for him to follow her as she started to walk back down the beach towards where she left her friends playing in the sand, “We’ll have to pick up my friends on the way, I hope that’s alright. Only, I brought them here so they’ll expect me to walk them home again”

((I'd like him to find Goldie while their out too if that's okay. wink ))
"Okay, sure." Wanderer began to walk where she was leading him. He liked the idea of meeting others. It would be something new to experience, which is what he was all about.
