Methinks in this, the players will have some say about the direction the RP takes. That is to say, at various points, there is some decision around the events of the RP (not the actions of characters) you may all vote upon. For instance, whether or not the ship gets blown off course.
If you're familiar with them, imagine the Fighting Fantasy books on a group scale. An intriguing idea which, ironically, meshes with something I've had in the back of my feline mind--ever since I discovered this guild, I've been curious as to how Gaia would look "through steam-powered goggles", if you will. In fact, my guild alter-ego, Dr. Kitirena Moreaux, was simply a "SteamGaia" {laugh} version of my Gaia persona, Kitirena, who is a "Gaia-fied" version of one of my FF11 characters.
Perhaps, if enough people like the idea, we (as in anyone and everyone who wanted to join in) could create a "SteamGaia" roleplaying scenario, either in a single thread or in its own subforum, where steampunk versions of our Gaia personas, or characters created especially for the SteamGaia setting, could interact in a steampunk semi-Victorian version of the fictional milieu of Gaia--complete with the airship/floating city Anachronism, which somehow fell through a rift in time and space and was propelled into the "alternate universe" steampunk Gaia with all hands aboard. Does this idea sound at all interesting to anyone?
