Lucien followed the scent of the foxes until he rounded a tree and was almost upon them. Four females stood chatting to each other, and he tilted his head inquisitively. Lucien didn't have much experiance or interest in females, but it seemed his curiousity was going to get the better of him. Cautiously, he picked his way over to the females and unremorsefully interrupted them. "Hello. Are you here to see the lights as well?"
Ryo watched his brother leave and vowed to beat him up first chance he got. Though he had to admit he was curious; what could have possibly gotten Lucien's interest enough to leave him alone?
The cold that hit his paws brought him out of his thoughts and he waited for Rorukou to walk closer before batting the ball back to the nice modi. "Yeah he will, though I'm more concerned about what caught his interest in the first place." Ryo replied. "And no, I haven't seen the lights yet. Lucien did though and he wanted me to see them before we continued on our journey. Are they very beautiful?"

Pete wondered through the pine trees, lightly sniffing the air. His ears twitch slightly as he hears others nearby. He strolls in their general direction, not too worried about running into any 'bad' foxes.

Rokurou noded and smiled. He briefly wondered why Ryo's twin brother left for a bit but he dismissed it. He refused to meddle in foxes affairs.
"Oh yes, it's like watching a rainbow dance in the sky...or a flame flutter in different colors. Heh, or thats what mum always told me."
He smiled at small brief memories that he let slip through his mind as he looked up to the sky. He turn and tilted his head towards Ryo a twing of saddness in his eyes even though he was smiling happily.
"It's also another way I can pay my respects to my mother. It'd be nice of mother can see other foxes as well, even if it's just a brief visit."

Pete stepped closer, slowly approuching a small group of foxes. He smiled- friendly. As he neared the group- it seemed like a serious convorsation- he contemplated turning back but one fox had already seen him, so he continued on slowly.

While Lucien was waiting for a reply from the females, he noticed the most gorgeous black and purple male walking towards them. Lucien politely nodded to the fox then turned away to hide his admiration. What am I thinking? I refuse to become smitten with someone I've just seen.
"That sounds really pretty Rokurou, I can't wait to see it." Ryo said, smiling. The smile faded around the edges when he caught sadness swirling in the other male's eyes. "Your mother?" What had happened to his mother that put that look in his eye?

Pete nodded back silently, still trying to ease his way into the conversation- he didn't mean to be nosey, he was just a bit lonley. He sat a few feet away from the group, waiting for an opening of sorts so he could introduce himself. He bowed his head slightly, ears back with a sort of sad look on his face as he waited.

Elysia nodded at the two in turn, "It's nice to meet you two as well, Cari, Hoshika!" At Cari's other question, Elysia nodded. "We probably have seen each other before, we're in the same tribe." Elysia indicated to Cari's tribe tattoo with a flick of her tail. "We were born into the tribe, but we never got our tattoos for some reason."
Eponine remained silent again, but noticed Hoshika's knowing smile and smiled back. Soon afterwards, Eponine noticed the appearance of two other foxes. Eponine turned to the first male she saw, who greeted them and asked about something. "Lights?" She repeated questioningly. "Elysia and I are new to the area, so we don't really know..." Eponine glanced at the purple and black fox who seemed to inch closer. Unlike the first male, he didn't seem like the type to jump into the conversation himself. "Hello, there," she decided to say, gesturing him over.

Cari blinked at the two sisters for a moment before processing Elysia's words. "Oh my goodness! I totally forgot about the babies of the tribe! I've been away so long. Gosh, you're so big!" She jumped around the two franticly looking them over. Then she realized that there were two other foxes and that one of them had mentioned lights. "Lights? What lights?"
Not being able to help herself she bounced over the black and purple male and observed him closely. "Well aren't you cute? What's your name kid?"
Hoshika shook her head at Cari and turned to the blue male. "I don't think any of us here know about the lights of which you speak but I know I'd love to see them."

Rokurou's ears purked up, he blush a bit as he knew he slipped up. He always tried not to slip his mom into soncersations, as rare as he gets them. But he might as well tell. He liked Ryo.
"Yeah...I've lived alone for a long time. Mom ran away from some humans that liked her fur. We manage to get away but...they followed us. They got my mom with this...long stick but I was able to break it. It was too late for my mom though, she passed away."
His ears flaten back and his eyes grew distant, thinking. "She loved the lights at night. We use to come here before the humans came hunting us."
He looked back to Ryo, looking a bit uneasy and worried. "Sorry...that was depressing..." He tried to smile and but was forced.

Pete sat up and smiled sweetly. "Hello, thanks for including me... I didn't know when I should jump in." He laughed nervously. "I'm pete by the way." He smiled again and took a long breath.

"Yeah, there's a cliff back that way where you can see the dancing night lights." Lucien said, jerking his head back the way he'd come. "My brother and Rokurou are there right now waiting for them. They should be starting soon if you all want to watch them too."
Lucien watched the other male out of the corner of his eye as the fox introduced himself. "Hi Pete." Lucien said, smiling back at the fox.
"I'm sorry your mom passed away, and don't worry about it being depressing, things like that happen." Ryo said, smiling at his new friend softly. "Lucien and I have had our own problems with hunters, so I know where you're coming from. And watching the lights is a good way to honor your mother." Ryo said comfortingly, reaching out to nudge the other fox.

Pete smiles shyly. "It's nice to meet you." His ears perk up a bit and he looks around, letting his A.D.D get the best of him. He took notice of each fox and their patterns and colors.

Elysia laughed at Cari who was clearly a carer of the tribe. She nodded, a smile still on her face. "It has been a while since we were kits," she replied. Elysia glanced at the two male foxes that her sister had spoken to. She nodded at Hoshika's sentiments of wanting to see the lights that the first fox had mentioned.
Eponine nodded at the purple and black fox. "No problem," she replied. "It's nice to meet you, Pete." She glanced at the other fox, unsure as to whether or not she had caught his name. "Those lights sound interesting. I'd love to see them." Eponine looked up at the cliff he had indicated. It was far above the trees and probably had a great, clear view of the night sky.

"Hi Pete!" Cari said as she bounced around him. "Dancing night lights? That sounds like fun! Let's go everyone! Lead the way Blue!" She nodded to Lucien to lead them to the cliff. She had always been bad about giving nicknames to foxes she didn't know and then never actually remembering their real names. Cari pranced around the group so that she could push any of the foxes who weren't getting to the lights quick enough.
Hoshika stood and giggled at the prancing Cari. "Its nice to meet you Pete," She nodded to Pete and then looked at Lucien, "Blue," she said with a giggle, "I'm Hoshika."

Pete smiled at each fox, laughing at Cari's energy. "Blue does seem easier to remember." He joked with them. He sat up straight and looked up to the sky where these lights were supposed to be. He tilted his head- a bit confused but shrugged it away. "Do any of you mind if I join you on your trip?"
