~ My Tv has the caption already set on it, so I didn't put the DVD subtitles.
The Tv captioning was almost dead-on.
I don't understand the DVD screw-job. ~

People on the Repo! board get SOOO angry at the subtitles. The person who made them was probably just writing what they heard instead of following a script or something. I love watching the subtitles and laughing at the silly lines.
I love "Penile tissue inch by inch".
...And the Zydrate gun goes somewhere against your anatomy
And when the gun goes off it SPARKS and you're ready for surgery.

I can see someone being justifiably angry if they're hard of hearing or have difficulty understanding the words. But for fans who already know all the lyrics? It's almost like a bonus. Now we've got all kinds of new in-jokes.
I really don't understand how these mistakes could have been made, though. It seems like it would have been simple enough to double-check these things. All they have to do is take a moment to think "Hmmm, does that line make any sense at all? Nope. I wonder why." Obviously they didn't.
But like I said. Bonus. smile

How much do you want to bet LGF paid the subtitle people to do it on purpose? I mean, how can you seriously mistake "Graves" for "Rob"? stare Even a person from the depths of the Congo would be able to make out the difference!
