Dew took the pitcher and looked over her shoulder in the direction of the waterfall. "I can do that. But why clear water?" She didn't wait for an answer or even care as she began to walk away toward the watertfall. She could easily climb tot eh top, either through the woods or along the side, where the cliff face wasn't wet from the falling waters. Her walk became a run as she decided to test herself and make it to the top and back as fast as she could. As she ran, she sent to Pey *Water from the top coming right up.* she giggled are her own little joke, not concerned about Pey understanding it or not.

As Dew left the sand to reach the waterfall through the forest, a familiar brown-grey wolf sat just in the woodline, further down the beach.

Tidalwave lifted his head out of the water again just as the shell went whizzing by. Blinking eyes moved to the direction of Blaze's send then watched him as he gathered up more wood and started to drag it off. *I will join you all when the rest of my group has arrived.* His voice was light and flowed with a sense of duty. To wait for the one they now called Chief of the WaveDancers. Just under the water he held a large tuna to ring to the party. Tidalwave had always enjoyed celebrations in part because of his life mate. For they had grown together and he recalled how lovely even as a youth she was to him. Still he waited for the ever primping Fathom and his leader Crosscurrent so they might all show up together.

The firestarter's eyes narrowed, and his grin widened. **I wouldn't have any dealings with it any other way.** He pushed Joy's offer off with a friendly mental punch, and continued dragging the log. A little strain now and then was good, he thought. **Thanks, but I've got this'n. Go get another. Never can have too much of it.**

As he slogged on, he sent to Tidalwave, a roll-of-the-eye chuckle. **Are not we your group? Or have you all decided to stay hidden under the waves?** He paused for a moment, to catch his breath. **Come on. Nobody's gonna eat ya or anything.**

Peyote opened her mouth to reply, then had to cup a hand about her mouth to shout, "No! To the top! To the top!" She wasn't sure if the wolfrider child understood, and Dewpaw's send was completely lost on her. Sighing softly, the villager turned toward the baskets of flowers and the pre-prepared kill from Starsong and Blaze, and began to make things ready. She'd start cooking for those that ate that way, a light frown of concentration on her features at that. She was NOT the Village's Chef.

In a short time, Dew was back, having run the whole way. She was breathing heavy but still in constant motion. She handed the pitcher to Peyote. It wasn't full. Water had spilled out, but not that much. Dew was proud of her water collecting abilities. "I'm back!" she chirped behind Peyote. "Getting up taht hill is fun, but coming back is hard. With waer I mean. cause you have to try not to spill all teh water. I spilled some though. Sorry! But I didn't mean to adn I tried really hard not to." Dew's words spillled out like the water, one after another, as she quickly explained then defended herself.

Zayn thought for a while on Blazes words before responding with light hearted humor. *I guess you would be like a neighboring tribe would you not? Our home is the water and not the land. Your dry world is interesting to visit but not a place I would wish to call my home. I am sure you, even if you could survive under the water, would not like to call the waters your home correct?* His sends always having a Fatherly tone to them when trying to explain something. Letting his eyes drift under the water again he pondered what to do. Wait for the others or get to know the dry elves a bit better? In the end he would give Crosscurrent and Fathom a bit more time. *Soon* was all he said to the fire elves beckoning.

Blaze dropped the log with a thud a little ways off from the fires, shivvering despite the afternoon heat. **I see windless-clear, and if that's how you see it, I have no qualms with ye. I'd sooner pick out my own eyes than live drowning, as you do. But we can still talk.** Jogging back down to the tideline, the firestarter looked around for another log. **How'd you an' yours fare the storm?** As always, Blaze was curious of new minds and tribes of elves, and this eve was not the exception.

Crosscurrent joined Tidalwave with a wide grin to answer the previous Sending. Having slept well he was ready to play; being late because he was checking something a ways from the land. His weapon strapped to his back showing his rush to return.

He couldn't help but playfully brush around Tidalwaves waist before darting a short distance away again.

*Where's Fathom?* he asked, eyes looking about.

Airana Fathom

On her way to the beach celebration Fathom noticed Crosscurrent and Tidalwave together. It made her giggle with delight to have two fine Wavedancers to pal around with. It made for warm rests and lots of interesting stories. *I'm here nurse maid.* She teased at Crosscurrent. In her hands she had a net she had worked on. It wasn't big but it held a few small and large pinch claws. *It's rude to show up someplace empty handed and one does have all those other ladies to outshine so one must look her very best.* As she joined them she gave Crosscurrent a playful tug of his hair and Tidalwave a slap with her tail.

Peyote just laughed as Dewpaw bounded over breathlessly, and her hands reached out to collect the pitcher. "It's perfect," she declared, and set what she was doing down to gather up the shaped cups in a tidy stack and start the process of serving everyone a drink of cool water, and a bright and loud, "Who's thirsty?"

Autumns joy

Blaze scurried back up the beach and Autumn chuckled inside. He was enjoying himself in all this push and shove work. While she picked up an armful of sticks and brought them over to the fire area. Dew ran around and Pey seemed happy as well. Maybe the night would be fun. Who knew. She was looking forward to seeing the Wavedancers. Hearing about them is nothing like seeing with ones own eyes.

*You do have the prettiest tail* Crosscurrent said with a teasing grin as a 'compliment' to Fathom. Well aware that none of the land-ladies had one to compare with but making it sound as if it was her best feature even as he looked at Tidalwave.

*But I suppose we could put on a show before joining them. Like flying fish and dolphins.* A slightly speculative look at the other two. *So who thinks they can out jump me. No magic, Fathom. Otherwise where would the fun be?*

Huntress Starsong
Vice Captain

PostPosted: Sat Jan 31, 2009 9:18 am

Starsong had managed to get some rest after the hunting ordeal and recover some strength. A lot was still bothering her however and she had not yet told Savith what had transpired. She knew that not showing up to the party, and thus not eating, would be a poor choice on many accounts. So begrudgingly she pulled herself into the clearing and leaned against one of the tree's on the outskirts of the party area.

The shadows hiding her face as she watched the goings on with little interest. She saw the wavedancers and thought it was about time that they graced us with their presence. Her mood foul, and her mind bitter. Normally a hunt would do the exact opposite for her, especially a hunt like this where the food was needed and the game was rather large.

Brooding in the dark and thinking negative thoughts she continued to watch the preparations.
Llune rolled 1 10-sided dice: 3 Total: 3 (1-10)
PostPosted: Sat Jan 31, 2009 9:25 am

((Rolling dice to see how badly Llune falls down... 1: She trips a little and drops the basket, 5: She twists and ankle or something minor like that, 10: Llune hurts herself pretty bad and will need Dancer's healing assistance.))

At Peyote's offer of water Llune brightens - that would most definitely hit the spot! "Yes please Peyote!" she calls out as she approaches. Quickening her pace a bit, Llune hurries along as she walks on the ground out of habit and despite her gliding abilities. The heavy basket rests on her hip and the trinkets inside make suggestive jingley noises, only hinting at the racket they are capable of.

But then... She trips. Likely it's over her own two feet, or a slight dip in the ground, but either way, she goes from smiling and calling out to her tribesmates, to toppling over and scattering the noisy party-favors across the damp sand. Her surprised, "Oh!" is drowned out by the sound of the ocean and the scattering of oh-so-very-many noisy things.

Luckily for Llune, the ground is soft and she doesn't hurt herself too badly as she falls to her hands and knees in the sand. Though she scrapes her hand and wrist on the edge of the coarse basket, and tears her dress a bit at the knee, Llune suffers no other injury save for embarrassment and a bit of huffing and puffing to right herself once again.

Creek Runner

PostPosted: Sat Jan 31, 2009 7:39 pm

Creek had been walking up and down the beach, thinking rather than helping. He had gone back to where he had originally camped before meeting the others; he hoped that he would be able to find something that hadn't been taken by the storm. He knew it was hopeless. Everything he had left there was gone, as he knew it would be. The trip had been more for a distraction, something to do as he waited for the party. He didn't feel like talking, at all, not even to Peyote or Dancer. He was confused, about Recogntion, about his tribe, about everything. After searching under the same rock a hundred times, he returned to the beach. That only made him angry that he hadn't helped. He walked toward Peyote, wanting to ask her if they planned on telling anyone about what had happened between them.

But he came to the fallen Llune first. He kneeled in the sand and started to help put the scattered objects back in the basket. "Careful" was all he said to her, but his tone remained light.
