"Rock Smash while he's close!" Renekai countered.
Chaos scraped his claws against the floor, sending rocks hurtling towards the Cranidos. He winced at the attack that landed on him and jumped away to avoid further trouble.

Still recovering from the superpower attack, Ram was unable to move fast enough to avoid the incoming pile of rocks even though Luna had screamed a warning at him beforehand. He was smushed under the rocks, but his determination was burning as bright as ever.
Ram weakly crawled out of the rock pile, he wanted to get out of this on top. He needed to. Slowly Ram got back on his legs again, looking very much disheaveled and barely conscious. Luna looked at the lone figure with a mixture of concern and pride. Ram was definately one resiliant pokemon.
"Go wild Ram!" Luna shouted.
Figuring that it would be best not to give his plan away, Ram slowly waddled to Chaos, panting at every step he took. His speed was greatly reduced and he seemed as tired as his damaged body looked. But at the last few feet, Ram gave a spurt of energy and with a fiery passion in his eyes charged up another thunderpunch at whatever part of Chaos he could reach

Chaos had been unsure of what to do, thinking that Ram was about to faint. He had misjudged. He growled and felt his body grow stiff. What a dumb mistake...
Renekai had no choice but to wait. She was sure that this would be a victory in any case!

The cranidos panted heavily after his attack had connected. He barely had the energy to go on with further attacks. Thankfully, the paralyzation gave him a brief moment to regain his breath even though each labored intake of oxygen only made him re-realize how tired he was.
With some more words of encouragement from his trainer, Ram felt someone ready to continue again and concentrated a superpower attack on his left paw, clenching it into a fist. Not even wanting to waste energy on a battle cry, Ram just viciously slammed his fist at Chaos.

Chaos gave a deep grunt of pain as he was hit. He began to squirm a bit; the paralysis was wearing off... Don't worry, little rock, he thought grimly. I'll make an end to your pain in a moment...
Renekai was holding the rail and squinting into the dark field. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she figured that Chaos must be almost free by now. Would this be one battle where she actually beat her rival, Luna?

The darknesss was still quite heavy with the only visible light being the sparks and glows coming out of Ram's fists in his valiant struggle. The trainer continued to look on with a smile, no matter the result of the battle, she knew that Ram was proving himself in more ways than one.
Not even having the time to pant because Ram knew he had to ccontinue on with his momentum, the cranidos stepped towards Chaos (who he had knocked back just a little from his last blow) again and swung his right fist this time, also laced in electricity.

((*shakes fist* Right when I thought that I'd beat you...))
Renekai slumped her head in annoyance, hitting it hard on the rail. Eyes watering, the trainer held her head in her hands and hoped for the best. And for the headache to go away.
Chaos growled fiercely as he was paralyzed once more, but his voice never made it out. He was stuck. Again. That stupid little rock bug!

Luna's breath hitched as Ram managed to get another solid blow on Chaos, prolonging the pokemon's paralyzed state. He was doing it!
Ram took yet another step, barely conscious. He could only remember that he wanted to win, that thought compelled his body to move on even though his consciousness drifted in and out. Driven by pure spirit, Ram drove another superpower-concentrated fist at Chaos with his right paw.

Chaos watched steadily as the tired Cranidos missed a stationary opponent. Well, the poor thing was about to faint. If only he could move and finish the job... But he was stuck as ever.
Renekai's hopes lifted slightly. Maybe they could pull through.

Luna could see that Ram was wavering, even though the cranidos shook his head furiously to snap himself out of his daze. He would do his best to continue to endure this!
Ram planted another firm foot onto the ground, doing his best to stay conscious to the very end of this battle. His dominant left hand glowed red with another small superpower attack as he launched himself onto Chaos once more, jaws clenched in determination.

Chaos tried to wrench himself away, but his body disobeyed him. The punch landed, and hard. However, Chaos did manage to wince as he was hit. The paralysis was wearing off. Chaos's muscles twitched as he strained to take control.
Renekai was chewing on a thumbnail. She had to wait, but it was hard to be patient when her opponent was so close to being knocked out. Her patience was thinning. She hoped that Chaos would be free soon!

Taking another large gulp of air, Ram stood his ground panting and fighting off the incoming unconsciousness. The absol's body was already pushed a bit of a distance away from him again from his last attack.
Noticing the sparks that occasionally jumped around Chaos's fur were getting less frequent in dimmer, Ram knew he would have no time for rest. Letting out a loud cry to motivate himself, Ram charged at Ram with another glowing red fist laced with superpower.

Chaos grunted and managed to twist his body away. His hind legs were unresponsive, so he was forced to slowly drag himself away by using only his front legs. Blasted Cranidos... he thought angrily.
"Hang in there, Chaos!" shouted Ren. He was almost free to make his counterattack.

Ram's eyes were dilated and his breathing was ragged. It was a miracle he was still even standing. But Ram was a cranidos who liked to try to overcome all odds.
"Swagger Ram!" Luna ordered. Even she could notice the fading electrical glow from Chaos's coat of fur. They had to act and they had to act fast.
Seeing his enemy slowly inching away from him, Ram knew he would have to put on another burst of strength. The cranidos used his powerful hind legs to jump over the absol and land right in front of the absol's face. Then, letting out a huff from his nostrils, Ram began to preform a series of odd movements to confuse his foe who would be forced to watch from the remaining effects of paralyzation.

"Concentrate, Chaos!" Renekai commanded. "One final Rock Smash!"
Chaos's vision was blurred and tinted red. The swagger made him angry and confused. All he knew was that he was free, and that he had to beat up that dumb little dino. Chaos rammed his head into the ground and pulled up a chunk of the pliant ground using his horn. The world slanted and wavered, but Chaos threw it anyway.
He hoped that it would hit...
