"Good job girl!" Piney didn't really ever recalled her Ice beam being that accurate before. All that training did pay off. But they didn't have forever to defeat the Stantler before the ice melted. They had to do as much as they could in the meantime.
"Use Swords Dance and up your attack now!"
Twilight was going to poke the ice and see if it was really as sturdy as it seemed. But her officer seemed confident enough. Barking loudly, she pranced around the area a bit, her blade-ear glowing white as she did so.

"Cassie, return!!" Choppi called out to the stantler, not like it would reply as it was zapped up into safety. Then pointing to the field, the cubone at her side bounded out happily into the battle.
"Cuebone~" she chirped happily, ready to be in the battle for her comrade. Twilight was in for a battle.

It would make sense that she would return her Stantler, seeing as she was in no condition to fight. But Piney wasn't excepting the switch out anyway. This doesn't mean that things would have to go badly though.
"Ice beam now!"
Twilight watched as Cassie was returned and replaced with a Cubone. She never seen one before, and pondered as to why she had a skull and bone club. It was sorta creepy.
But now isn't the time to be wondering that. She gathered more frost and spewed it out at her opponent in a bone-chilling beam.

Hannah got hit with the beam, and she just shook it off. Ice shards glittered in the air.
"Furry Cutter!" The cubone tossed her bone high into the air like a baton, and then threw several furried punches. Slicing through the air, her tiny claws came at the absol with amazing power.

Twilight saw the Fury Cutter coming at her and ducked to the side to avoid it. She was a bit confused as to why she didn't use her bone or anything, since that might hurt more.
"Yes!" Piney had to be cautious that Hannah knew a super-effective move but they were still doing well so far. "Give her another Ice beam!"
She figured that their strategy was to spam ice attacks and was already charging up. The Absol fired the icy beam at her, aiming for her arms. She didn't want to get clawed at anymore!

Ice layered the cubones fur again as she shivered, the cold got to her. Whipping her tail back and forth, it flicked off of shards of the element off her form.
"Try it again, Fury Cutter!" Choppi pointed to the absol. She was really hoping this attack would hit because not alot was going her way this battle.
Hannah stared Twilight again, and lept at amazing speed. Her cubone claws were blurs again, slicing through the air aiming to strike the opposing team.

((Uh, Pocho, your HP count is screwed up. Ice beam is super effective plus the attack boost would equal 200 damage per hit. And Hannah had an HP boost right?))
Twilight was acting a bit too cocky to notice that she was being attacked. The Fury cutter swiped her on the nose but she managed to avoid any other injuries.
They were still in a lead though. Even if a bout of bad luck hit them, Era should be able to finish off a weakened Cubone and a frozen Stantler.
"Ice beam!" Piney shouted out again.
She had considered hiding someplace to evade more slashes and cuts, but she heard the command. Launching another freezing blast, she quickly ran under the see-saw in hopes of being shelter. Even though it wasn't much.

Dodging the ice beam in a powerful leap, Hannah landed on top of the see-saw with a whirl of her tail to keep her balance. Pausing with her paws outwards, she kept her balance perfectly. Looking at the absol, half sticking out of the play ground toy, she kinda chuckled.
"Fury Cutter!"
More rapid slashes came at Twilight, who was now rather trapped against the close-range move. Would she be able to avoid it? Choppi hoped not, for the sake of her pokemon.

Twilight let out a yip as the Fury cutter hit her this time. Some bits off fur was shorn off and her shoulder was smarting where she had attacked her but at least wasn't critical.
"Ice Beam!" Piney was getting tired of spamming the attack all the time, but she needed to in order to win.
The Absol came out of the see saw she was under and leaped on top of it, hoping to get a good vantage point. But her weight made her slide down. Oh well. She just fired another Ice beam at Hannah.

Hannah used the momentum from the moving plank and lept into the air over the beam completely. Choppi swore she saw the cubone wink at her in joy. That was a really great moment for her little pokemon, who was used to getting plastered with ice at a moments notice.
"Again!" Choppi commanded, seeing the absol lose its footing. It was a battle of endurance and strength for both trainers. They'd just have to leave it up to the pokemon.
Another furry of claws flew at Twilight.

Twilight didn't except the Cubone to dodge the Ice beam by jumping over it. She was caught unaware by the next Fury Cutter, which sliced her near her eyes and started bleeding. She yelped at the sudden pain and backed off a bit, not wanting to get hit by another attack.
Two misses in a row and a critical hit. Piney hoped that she was still strong enough to beat her opponent, and that they'd get lucky soon.
"You know what to do!"
She did. Now she was in the open area near the playground, where neither of them would have cover or support. She launched another ice beam, willing it to hit this time.

Most of the beam caught her bone helm and was deflected, but some on her neck and shoulders suffered frost and the following pain. Glaring a bit, she shook the pellets from her fur and returned to the battle.
"Keep it up! Fury Cutter!"
This attack was a nice one to have added to the cubones more set. Choppi would have to train together with Hannah a bit more however. It was far from perfect.
Turning after Twilight once more, Hannah slashed at her with amazing speed.

She was starting to hate all of these Fury cutters. Twilight managed to duck and swerve around the slashes, but some of them managed to land. Some of the scratches were bleeding and she didn't have time to take care of them now.
"Ice Beam once more!" Piney shouted, hoping for a critical hit perhaps.
Twilight didn't run to another part of the playground like she was doing the last several turns. She stood her ground and fired a freezing beam at Hannah once more.

Choppi's breath caught at Hannah was frozen solid and unable to battle. Wisking her beloved warrior back into her pokeball, she even had to shiver from the cold seeping from the pokeball. Giving the top of the pokeball a kiss, she smiled. Hannah needed this rest. "Thankyou. It's now up to Cassie."
Clicking it to her ponytail, she whipped the other pokeball out. "Cassie, your turn!"
The battle wasn't looking good, but it wasn't over yet. The frozen stantler was forced out into battle, and Choppi crossed her arms and shook her head.

Things were going in their favor! It looked like they were going to win this match for Piney, but she couldn't be so sure yet. The stantler looked tough and it was going to take a while to defeat it. Luckily, her Pokemon had the moves to make things easier.
"Twilight! Use Rock Smash!"
Yay for something not involving frozen water! The absol barrelled towards Cassie with enough strength to break boulders. If she made contact that is.
