Been playing necro in my store for the past month now, delaques with a gang rating of around 2500, using tanith models. out of 10 gangers, only 1 doesn't have a head wound/leg wound/eye wound/ arm wound
and in some cases, gangers have one of each! but it all builds character, so retiring them would be p*ss awful.
our GW staff have actually started restricting the ammount of boards we can play necromunda on, even though about 1 in 10 games is voluntarily 40k or fantasy.

I have Van Sarr and Escher gangs... But since no one ever wants to play here, they got conscripted to my Lost and the Damned army in 40k. Thats ok though, the Chaos simbles give them more charicter.

I've been thinking about starting a Van Saar gang using Infinity models. Would probably be something like:
Leader - Autogun w/ Telescopic sight, Autopistol
Heavy - Heavy Stubber w/ Monosight, Laspistol
6 x Gangers - Autoguns, Laspistols
Juve - Autopistol

Heh. That gang was illegal. Oops. this is the gang I actually started playing with:
Van Saar Gang
Leader: Chainsword, Autopistol
Heavy: Heavy Stubber
Heavy: Plasma Gun
Ganger: Autogun
Ganger: Autogun
Ganger: Shotgun
Juve: Autopistol
Stash: 280 creds.
I saved that 280 to buy an autocannon after the first game, and the plasma gun would get handed off to my Leader. Surprising side effect? I had a gang rating of under 1000, giving me a really nice boost in experience and money for that first game.

Im thinking of joining, as this looks pretty cool. as I dont have the paperback version of the rulebook, its a pain in the arse to read it. However, I did want to make my own gang... I KNOW I screwed up on it, but Im oping not. Im thinking of using orlock models converted with catachan and cadians sprues.
I might even be able to convert a heavy weapon into a handheld one by clipping some stuff down.
And, in addition to my gang, this will also give me a lot of great conversions and a good kill-team.

No offense Fraggle, but... what house is this? It does affect how well this list will do, and if it's even legal. My Van Saar gang was going to start with a couple swords but Van Saar can't buy swords without using rare trade opportunities, and they can't start with any but a chainsword on the leader. Also, you're spending an awful lot on swords. 70 creds. You could buy another ganger for that much, or a couple of cheap juves.

I have an Escher Gang!
I'm now playing a small campaign with my boyfriend, and we're also looking for a group to play another bigger one: we're 5 at the moment! 3nodding
It's been really hard finding friends to play... here in Italy Necromunda is not so popular.. cry
I'm also translating the Rules Books in italian, since GW still hasen't officially translated it and the only version available in an english one!!! evil

I have a Van Saar gang. with some of the models that you have to assemble. they are not available anymore because you cant order bits from GW. cry

i am thinking of getting into necromunda but as i was going thru the different gangs on the GW site i found the Redemptionist Gang i think they look pretty cool even tho with a slight color change they will look like the kkk
