Shuuken continues to laugh, her arms wrapping around her stomach as she doubles up for a few moments. When she catches her breath, her eyes dart up to Nusumu--apparently she detected the bit of dissatisfaction and the princess meets it head on with a smile. Shuuken stands, a hand grasping each of Nusumu's shoulders, her eyebrows narrowed.
No, this is not the end! Shuuken has an ally, as they both know! As well, Nusumu is in the kitchen weaving her plans and waiting for her moment to strike while Jilan digs into ancient tomes, attempting to find answers as he waits for his contact! They will save the Golden World!
Shuuken's hands gingerly leave Nusumu's shoulders as her eyes survey the allies. She has utter trust in them and their abilities.

Jilan seemed more uncomfortable as Shuuken's laughter continued, and flinched away from the Princess slightly as she reached out to grasp Miss Nusumu's shoulders.
He firmly agrees that he will keep working on whatever he can, though, to help Princess Shuuken's homeland. And if he gets any good ideas or finds anything important, Jilan will be sure to tell his comrades right away.
Oh, he has a question, though - if the little scholar does manage to locate his old tutor and benefactor in the Silver World, what should he tell Jin? And... is there anything he should not mention? Also, should he ask Jin if they can see the Silver Empress right away when he finds hir, or is that something the Princess Shuuken should ask herself, since Jilan is nobody important like she is?

Any thoughts Nusumu may have had are literally shaken out of her. She is too startled to resist, but after her shock subsides, she nods seriously. She did not mean to imply that they were in bad shape, or that they weren't entitled some distraction. Perhaps Nusumu is just used to getting results with more speed. But then, she has never done anything this important before.
All at once, she is reminded why she initially admired Princess, and why she came to the Silver World. Confidence restored, she holds Shuuken's arms tightly as well. They will do whatever it takes to save the Golden World! Nusumu promises this!
Then she relaxes a bit. The answer to that question, Nusumu thinks, lies in this Jin hirself. Would Jin listen to a request from Jilan, or would it be better coming from Princess? Nusumu thinks Jilan would know that best.

Shuuken trusts Nusumu's words. Despite the fact that she has no stake in the Golden World, Nusumu willingly followed Shuuken and has supported her. Shuuken could find no greater ally outside of the two beside her. Shuuken bows her head first to Nusumu and then to Jilan before seeming to ponder on their words.
Shuuken frowns thoughtfully as she points a finger towards Jilan. While Shuuken has authority, Jilan will have influence with his former tutor. It would not hurt for Jilan to drop her title into such a conversation, however. Shuuken rubs her chin slowly as she thinks before nodding faintly.
Jilan is authorized to tell Jin their purpose. If it is unknown, they might be denied at the very beginning.

Jilan supposes that Jin will probably listen to him, but sometimes sie does not like to give direct answers. But he will do what he can; with any luck, the more information he can provide about why they need to see the Silver Empress, the more Jin will be able to tell him. And even if it is something that needs figuring out, at least he will have some kind of answer.
He nods to Shuuken as well. The Princess can trust him not to abuse her good name. He just hopes that it will be sufficient to impress Jin, if impressing hir is what they all need to do. A stray thought crosses Jilan's mind pondering if perhaps the mysterious minstrel would want a plastic plant from Gaia that would not die when sie left the room.... But that would be a different sort of impressive.
But yes, he will be as transparent as possible, then, about their motives. And Jilan will be sure to mention that, should Jin require more information about the Golden World, that sie can speak to the Princess.

Nusumu turns pink at the praise. It really isn't necessary, she insists! But she is proud, too, and for the first time in weeks, content. She is certain now that her decision to follow Princess was the right one.
While she agrees with all that Shuuken and Jilan put forward, Nusumu begins to wonder what more they can accomplish. They have a plan of action, or part of one. They have shared what (little) information they have gathered thus far. While Nusumu would like to continue discussion, it is not necessary.
Or perhaps they would like to accompany her to one of the gardens? Nusumu has made some cookies, and while they are not up to her usual caliber, as she is still learning how to cook with the implements and ingredients here, she thinks they are edible. Of course, she could probably find something better in the kitchens.
Maybe she is grasping at straws, but now that she is feeling more comfortable, Nusumu does not want her comrades to go just yet.
