Syd: -sits on the couch, a blanket wrapped around himself. Peers under the edge of the blanket at the group off eggs sitting on the floor. Twitches and looks at them like they're going to attack him-

Jace: ...

Imogen: -rolls into the couch and bumps it, wondering where her father went-

Laney: *Rolls across the floor, happily exploring*

Syndle: *Has nestled him in a corner*

Calum: *Sitting on the floor in front of the couch, cautiously watching the eggs*

Syd: -eyes Laney a bit suspiciously. Looks over to Calum, and then Laney, and then Calum again-

Imogen: -rolls back a bit and then rolls back into the couch-

Calum: *Looks over to Imogen, then winces as she bumps into it. Reaches over to pick up the stone*

Laney: *Does a little spin and smacks into Jace*

Syd: -looks over the eggs, and wonders why they all look vaguely familiar- ...Hm.

Jace: -twitches and rolls a few inches away-

Imogen: -wiggles when she's picked up and snuggles into Calum-

Laney: *Pursues Jace while wondering what she bumped into*

Calum: *Smiles a little and rests Imogen on his lap, carefully pets her shell. Like he's afraid of breaking it*

Syndle: *Is unmoving, so probably sleeping*

Jace: -panics slightly and rolls farther away, bumping into Syndle-

Imogen: -purrs inside her shell and tries to get closer to Calum-

Syd: -sighs and hugs his knees to his chest-

Syndle: *Tips over when he's bumped into, his tail frizzing in surprise*

Laney: ?

Calum: *Chuckles and hugs Imogen* Are you alright Syd?

Jace: -wiggles and rolls off to hide-

Imogen: -purrs-

Syd: Hm? -looks over to Calum- Oh, yeah...

Calum: *Frowns* Are you sure?

Laney: *Wonders where the thing she was chasing went. Taps Syndle*

Syndle: *Rolls and then smacks against Laney, sending her rolling across the floor*

Syd: -nods slowly, and watches Syndle smack Laney-

Laney: *Retreats to a corner and shakes*

Syndle: *Goes still again*

Calum: *Plays with Imogen's tail while looking over the kids* ...Alright

Jace: -rolls and accidentally taps Laney-

Syd: -frowns when he realizes who they remind him of. Buries his head in his arms and shivers-

Laney: *Actually jumps and then wobbles*

Calum: *Ears drop when he sees Syd's frown, looks back down at Imogen* I thought you'd be happy...

Jace: -carefullt bumps her again-

Syd: -mumbles something-

Laney: ...? *Experimentally bumps back*

Calum: What was that?

Jace: ... -sits there for a minute before finally bumping her back-

Syd: ... -decides not to mention that they look like someone he knows- ...Nothing.

Laney: *Wiggles and then bumps back twice*

Calum: ... *Sighs and nods before going back to play with Imogen's tail*

Jace: -bumps her back once-

Syd: -shivers and looks over to Jace, his ear flicking irritatedly-

Imogen: -continues to purr and snuggle into Calum-

Laney: *Lets out a strange little noise before circling Jace*

Syndle: *Starts rocking himself as he tries to go to sleep*

Calum: Like a kitten...

Jace: -flicks his tail and wobbles-

Syd: A kitten...? -flicks an ear when he suddenly can't here anything. Twitches and looks around the room-

Imogen: -tries to burrow herself into Calum-

Laney: *Darts into tap against him*

Calum: Yeah, she's purring *Brings his legs up to cradle Imogen*

Jace: -wobbles and tries to roll away, but ends up bumping into Laney and then the wall-

Syd: -ears fall flat against his head as they start to ache. Continues to look around the room-

Laney: *Tips over and rocks on the floor*

Calum: *Looks up at Syd and raises a brow* Syd?

Jace: -wobbles and bumps into her again-

Syd: -doesn't respond. Instead just stares at something across the room-

Laney: *Goes rolling until her spikes stop her* @-@

Calum: ? *Follow Syd's gaze while wondering what he's staring at*

Syd: -twitches when he hears a giggle and murmured whispering in his ears. Continues to stare at the spot, though there really isn't anything there-

Jace: -rolls after Laney and bumps her again-

Calum: *Frowns in concern before dropping his gaze to the ground*

Laney: *Spins instead of rolling this time* @-@

Syd: -sighs when his hearing seems to return, though he frowns when he sees a certain little girl appear in the living room, standing on the coffee table-

Dreville: -grins down at the eggs-

Jace: -wiggles and lightly taps her-

Laney: *Taps back while trying to roll up right*

Calum: *Ears pin back, his eyes darkening at the sight of Dreville*

Dreville: -giggles and floats down from the table. Walks right up to Laney and Jace and pokes them, and then goes to poke Syndle- Hehe~

Syd: -frowns, his ears pinning back-

Dreville: -pokes Syndle and floats around, looking the eggs over- They don't look like you. -grins at Syd-

Syd: -grumbles and gets up, collecting Syndle, Jace and Laney and carrying them to the couch-

Syndle: *Jerks awake at the poke, his tail frizzing*

Laney: *Freezes in alarm when she's picked up. Wonders where the ground went*

Calum: *Slides up onto the couch and sets Imogen by her siblings while watching Dreville like an animal watches a threat*

Syd: -shifts and sits so that he's blocking the eggs-

Dreville: -grins a wide grin at Syd- Can I play with them~?

Jace: -wobbles, wondering what's going on-

Imogen: -tries to curl back into Calum-

Calum: *Slides his tail so it covers the eggs* No

Syndle: *Slowly starts to back to sleep*

Laney: *Wiggles*

Dreville: -pouts- Why not?

Syd: -whimpers slightly when his ears start to hurt again-

Calum: *Remains silent and just glares at Dreville*

Dreville: -leans in, her tail swishing. Whispers- Who cheated on who~?

Syd: -ears droop and hugs his knees up to his chest again-

Calum: *Raises a brow* Haven't we already played this game before? Are you so lacking in creativity you have to fall back on that?

Dreville: -snorts- But they don't look like you guys. Well~ They don't look like Syd. You know who they look like~?

Syd: -whimpers and wraps his tail around himself-

Calum: I don't care who you think they look like. They're mine and Syd's, that's all that matters

Dreville: Those two, -points at Jace and Syndle- They look like that one boy who always chews on his lips. His names Josie or somethin'. -tilts her head and looks at Laney- She's red. None of you is red. -picks her up and sets her on the ground- I don't like her. Sydney doesn't know anyone that's red. Calley must be the one cheating~

Syd: -stares at Laney, his ears drooping-

Calum: *Snatches Laney up and holds her close, bares his teeth at Dreville while growling* I told you don't touch them!

Dreville: -giggles- You're getting all defensive~! So you must have~ -skips around- Calum is a cheat~er~ Calum is a cheat~er~

Jace: -shudders and tries to bury himself in the couch, trying to hide from the yelling-

Imogen: -makes a sort of whimpering noise and tries to hide against Calum-

Calum: *Ignores Dreville and holds Laney close while reaching to rest a hand on Imogen. Slides his tail to fully cover Jace, and most of Syndle*

Syd: -whimpers and pulls the blanket over his eyes, his tail flicking angrily-

Dreville: -giggles and stares at the eggs again. Points at Imogen- That one~ She's the only one that looks like Sydie~ -makes grabby hands at her-

Calum: *Bares his teeth and lets out a growl while holding Imogen closer*

Laney: *Trembles within her shell as she decides she doesn't like the sound coming from Calum*

Dreville: -grins and reaches right in, trying to grab Imogen-

Syd: -twitches and pulls Syndle closer so that he's all the way covered-

Calum: *Resists the urge to sink his teeth into Dreville's hand and instead jerk's Imogen out of her reach. Pulls Imoge onto his lap, beside Laney, and wraps around then like a cocoon while shifting to block the way to Jace with his body*

Syndle: *Seems unaware of all that's happening, but happily leans into the warmth while dozing*

Syd: -whimpers and holds Syndle close-

Dreville: -grins and grabs at Calum, trying to pull him off with all her might, clearly trying to provoke him-

Imogen: -tries to roll away and look for a place to hide-

Calum: *Growls more before closing his eyes and doing his best to ignore her*

Laney: *Carefully taps against Imogen*

Syndle: *Flicks a tail at the whimper, wonders what that sounds means*

Dreville: -floats up in the air a few feet and kicks at Calum- Let me see!

Syd: -sniffles and watches Dreville, gently petting Syndle- Calum...hit her...

Imogen: -tries to bury herself against Laney-

Calum: *Winces at the kick, but shakes his head while tucking his head down by the girls, essentially covering the completely*

Laney: *Attempts to bury right, trembling as Calum's body shifts with the kick*

Syndle: ...? *Tail flicks as he slowly starts to fully wake up and realizes all that strange noises around him*

Jace: -tries to roll towards Dreville and egg-tackle her, though he can't because he's being blocked by Calum-

Imogen: -whimpers again and hides against their father-

Syd: Just do it, or I will...

Calum: *Remember the last time Syd snapped* ... *Blindly swings a hand out to backhand Dreville*

Laney: *Whines within her shell*

Dreville: -cackles as she's hit in the face-

Syd: -yelps slightly as a red mark appears on his face- Harder...

Jace: -tries to bury himself into the couch again-

Calum: *Once more lashes out at Dreville, his hand balled into a fist*

Dreville: -goes crosseyed and falls back onto the floor as she's hit in the face. Dissapears once she hits the floor-

Syd: -lets out another yelp and falls back against the couch-

Calum: *Pulls his hand back and can't bring himself to look at Syd* I'm sorry

Syndle: *Jumps at the yelp*

Syd: ... -seems to be out-

Jace: -whimpers and nudges Calum-

Imogen: -shakes-

Calum: *Sits up, keeping one arm wrapped around Imogen and Laney. Reaches back and rests a hand on Jace before looking over at Syd* ...Syd?

Syndle: *Nudges at Syd*

Syd: -twitches slightly as he's nudged, but he doesn't do much else-

Jace: -whimpers and tries to hide-

Imogen: -shudders and buries herself into Calum-

Calum: *Sets the girls on the floor, then Jace before sliding over to do the same to Syndle*

Laney: *Presses herself up against the couch*

Calum: Syd? *Reaches out to gather Syd up* Come on Syd, wake up...

Jace: -tries to get back up on the couch-

Imogen: -sort of hides behind Laney-

Syd: -falls limp against Calum, his breathing soft-

Calum: *Ears drop as he whimpers and holds Syd close* I'm sorry... *Looks back down at the kids and is torn between gathering them back up and taking care of Syd. Sets Syd back down to get a blanket and make a nest*

Syd: -whimpers when he's set down, his hand shaking slightly-

Jace: -rolls into the couch and bumps it, and then rolls off to find a corner to hide in-

Calum: *Once the nest is finished, so the kids won't roll off the couch, he begin gathering them up and setting them in it. Picks up Imogen first, then Syndle and Laney*

Laney: *Trembles, then relaxes once she's on the couch*

Syndle: *Nodding off now*

Calum: *Gets up to get Jace*

Jace: -rolls up to Calum and bumps into his feet-

Imogen: -wobbles and settles into the blanket-

Calum: *Scoops Jace up and hugs him close while caring him back to set him in the nest* There, all safe *Turns back to gather Syd up*

Jace: -burrows into his siblings and makes a strange whirring sound-

Syd: -whimpers as he's gathered up again. Shifts slightly-

Laney: *Tenses at the strange sound* !!

Calum: *Whimpers quietly, tucks Syd's head under his chin before rocking him*

Jace: -tries to bury himself under his siblings-

Syd: -whimpers as his eyes flutter open, and then groans-

Laney: *tips over* !!

Syndle: *Snoozing through all of this*

Calum: *Kisses the top of Syd's head and continues to rock him* I'm sorry, I'm so sorry

Syd: -looks around- Is she gone...?

Jace: -whimpers and just sits there shaking-

Calum: *Nods* She's gone... *Flicks an ear at the whimper. Slides his tail over to wrap it around Jace*

Laney: *Squirms while trying to right herself*

Syd: -sniffles and rubs the side of his head, and then buries it in Calum's chest, watching the children- She was lying, right...?

Jace: -buries himself in Calum's tail-

Imogen: -nudges Laney and tries to push her up-

Calum: About what? *Nuzzles at the top of Syd's head*

Laney: *Wiggles, then sits up. Taps Imogen in thanks*

Syd: About you...you know... -looks over to Laney, his ear flicking-

Imogen: -taps her back and wiggles-

Calum: *Ears drop, whispers* How could you even think that I'd cheat on you?

Laney: *Snuggles against Imogen*

Syd: -flicks an ear and watches the girls- ...Is it true or not...?

Imogen: -purrs and nuzzles at Laney-

Calum: It's not true *Pulls away from Syd while looking insulted. Pushes to his feet and walks to the other side of the room*

Laney: *Tail wags as she slowly drifts to sleep*

Syd: -ears droop and stares at the ground- ... -looks over to Laney again, his ear flicking-

Imogen: -settles-

Jace: -shudders when Calum gets up-

Calum: *Looks back at the eggs* .... *Walks back over and moves the nest over. Sits back down beside it with his back facing Syd and once again wraps his tail around Jace*

Laney: *Shell vibrates as she sleeps*

Syndle: *Burrows into Calum's fur*

Syd: -ears droop further when Calum turns his back to him. Stares at him for a moment before standing and heading to the kitchen-

Imogen: -snuggles closer to Laney and starts to drift off ast well-

Jace: -buries himself under Calum's tail-

Calum: *Strokes fingers over the shells while fighting back the insult and bubbling rage*

Syd: -comes back with a bag of ice pressed against his head. Looks over to Calum once more, and bites his lip, afraid to say anything incase it makes things worse. Sighs and heads up to their bedroom-

Calum: *Stares after Syd, then growls and kicks at the coffee table once he's out of sight*

Jace: -shudders at the growl and nudges Calum-

Syd: -whimpers and curls up on the bed, burying himself under the blankets-

Calum: *Forces himself to calm down, then strokes Jace before standing. Carefully gathers up the nest so it gathers all the eggs together. Then proceeds to carefully carry them upstairs*

Jace: -wiggles when he feels himself lifted-

Calum: *Takes them into their room, then carefully begins setting them in their small cribs*

Jace: -whines inside his shell and nudges the wall of the crib-

Syd: -rolls on his side and peers out towards the kids' room, and then rolls so that his back is facing it. Sighs, figuring that his 'good father' title can pretty much be erased now.-

Calum: *Looks to Jace* ...*Crawls over and pulls the egg out, then curls back up on the floor while hugging him. Hopes that maybe he won't feel so lonely now*

Jace: -curls into Calum, purring slightly-

Syd: -ears droop. Finally stands and slinks into the kids' room. Looks down at Calum and frowns-

Calum: ... *Turns his head slightly so he can stare Syd from the corner of his eyes*

Syd: -fidgets and stares at the floor. Sighs- ...Sorry...

Jace: -wiggles when he hears his other father's voice-

Calum: ... *Quietly says* If you honestly think I'd cheat on you Syd, then you shouldn't be with me. It means you don't trust me. *Lets Jace go so he can go see Syd*

Syd: -stands in the doorway, sniffling- Yeah...I probably shouldn't...

Calum: *Ears drop as he figures that means Syd doesn't trust him*

Syd: But...I don't want to... -fidgets- But if you want me to I can...

Calum: I want you to stay *Voice cracks and he clears his throat* But I also want you to be able to trust me more than you trust some little ghost girl that's tried to break us apart more times than it's worth counting

Syd: ...Yeah... -sighs and looks around, looking at everything except Calum or the eggs-

Calum: ... *Bites down a whimper and then turns back so he's facing away from Syd completely again and goes back to petting Jace*

Syd: -ears droop when again he's looking at Calum's back. Lets out a bit of a whine before heading back to their bedroom-

Jace: -whimpers and nuzzles at Calum-

Calum: *At the whine, he turns his head slightly to watch Syd go. Hugs Jace close and presses his face into Jace's tail* Why won't he trust me?

Jace: -lets out a garbled sound, not really understanding what was going on in the first place-

Syd: -slides back into bed and wraps his arms around Calum's pillow, quietly sobbing into it-

Calum: *Sighs* I need a therapist *Turns his head to look towards the bedroom at the faint sound of sobs*

Jace: -lets out a questioning whimper and nudges his father-

Calum: *Shakes his head* You can know when you get older. For now, it's time to go to bed *Gets up and puts Jace in his crib*

Jace: -lets out a whine and rolls back and fourth in his crib before settling down-

Calum: *Sucks in a lungful of air before letting it out in a sigh and heading to his and Syd's bedroom*

Syd: -flinches slightly and buries his face into the pillow when he hears Calum come in-

Calum: .... *Wordlessly begins to undress before slipping into blue plaid PJ pants and sliding into bed*

Syd: -flicks his tail agrily and lets go of his pillow, rolling so that his back faces Calum's-

Calum: *Wonders how the hell Syd became the pissed one when he's one that accused him of cheating* .... *Looks at his tear stained pillow and pokes it*

Syd: -closes his eyes, trying to keep his tears from coming out, and trying to go to sleep. But the harder he tries, the guiltier and angrier he feels. Lets out a small sob before burying his face in his pillow-

Calum: .... *Flips his pillow over to the dry side* ... *Sighs and gives in the urge to comfort, reaches out to rest a hand on Syd's shoulder*

Syd: -whimpers and rolls over, curling into Calum and sobbing-

Calum: *Wraps his arms around Syd and silently holds him close*

Syd: -mumbles- I'm sorry I made your pillow wet...

Calum: It's fine...

Syd: And I'm sorry I don't trust you sometimes..

Calum: Why don't you trust me?

Syd: ... I don't really trust anyone...

Calum: Why?

Syd: -sniffles, his ears dropping in shame- I just can't...

Calum: *Bites off his frustration then just sags in defeat. Rolls over to lays his head on his own pillow. Slips off his glasses and sets them on the nightstand* Lets just go to bed...

Syd: -nods- ...Sorry...

Calum: So you said... *Sighs and just wonders what he's supposed to do now*

Syd: -mumbles- I love you..

Calum: I love you too...

Syd: Yeah...I know...

Calum: *Looks over at the blur that is Syd, then closes his eyes while biting off his response*

Syd: -flicks and ear before sighing and getting up. Heads down to the living room-

Calum: Where are you going?

Syd: ...To the couch...

Calum: ...Why?

Syd: ...Because you're mad at me.. -leans on the doorway-

Calum: And if I didn't want to share a bed with you, I'd have stayed in the kids room

Syd: -slumps slightly- ...Oh... -afraid to say anything else incase it makes Calum angry-

Calum: *Tugs up the covers and rolls onto his side* Come back to bed

Syd: ...Do you want me to...?

Calum: If I didn't want you to, I wouldn't have stopped you. I'd let you leave and avoid the awkward conversation

Syd: -fidgets and just slumps in the doorway, whimpering and shivering and feeling terribly confused-

Calum: *Sighs* ....Do as you want. I won't stop you

Syd: -whimpers and decides to get dressed in his PJs before climbing back into bed- I'm sorry..

Calum: Just let it drop Syd, get some sleep

Syd: But...it'll... -whimpers and just curls up under the blankets, careful not to touch Calum-

Calum: *Flicks an ear and bites back another sigh. Purposefully reaches out to take one of Syd's hands*

Syd: -flinches slightly when his hand is grabbed. Lightly squeezes it- ...

Calum: *Lightly squeezes back while keeping a hold on the hand, his eyes remaind closed as he looks asleep*

Syd: -fidgets and looks down at their hands, though he can't see it in the dark. Lightly strokes his thumb over it while burying his head in Calum's chest-

Calum: *Wraps his free arm around Syd's shoulders* Sleep

Syd: ...I can't sleep... -nuzzles at Calum-

Calum: *Mumbles* Then we'll just have to lay here *Tightens his hold on Syd*
