ThPriestess No pictures yet scream , but here's a link to descriptions: ninja http://www.tonnerdoll.com/doctorwho.htmMeanwhile, Rober Tonner's gonna die, even before the pics are up. Why? 1. The Doctor does not come with "brainy specs". emo 2. He is madly expensive, and yet you have to get the overcoat separately (note to self: draft overcoat pattern, using Doctor's son Parys as fitting model . . .) 3. They are releasing Martha as the companion, not Rose. WTF? Everybody knows the fangerls ship Rose! rolleyes On a humorous note, I notice the Doctor is using the standard male body sculpt from the Tonner company, while Captain Jack uses the "Superhero" sculpt. rofl

The latest news: The BBC has not yet approved the sculpts for photography. The prototype dolls will likely be at IDEX, BUT it may be illegal to photograph them. GAH! BTW, in case you're wondering how I know all this crap, uh, nifty info, I'm a regular contributor to Fashion Doll Quarterly, for which I will be writing a big feature article on these dolls. heart xd heart So don't ask me to leak pictures before my editor says I can. 'Cause I won't. 'Cause I can't. BUT I will let folks know ASAP when pics are available, and, of course, when the article sees print (in several months). You will all want copies, b'cause the Doctor will be on the cover.

Be kinda nice to know what bookstores CARRY that magazine. I haven't been seeing it anywhere. sad I'm lucky if I spot Soft Dolls & Animals now & then--even luckier if it's an issue with one of your patterns! smile

FDQ is still fairly small--not a lot of places carry it, tho you can get it on-line. I think B&N may have started carrying it. Will let folks know.

The very latest dirt from my spy at IDEX:
The BBC has STILL not approved the prototype dolls, and so they are not being displayed at the convention. gonk The prototypes of the Doctor, Martha, Jack, and Gwen are being kept locked up in Mr. Tonner's hotel room (where they are probably ransacking the minibar, ordering lots of room service, and generally behaving scandalously rofl rofl rofl )

More semi-official news: The editor at FDQ actually got to SEE the top-secret prototypes, and says they look great! I submitted my article to her, she's got it, and we are all waiting around for final signatures so that Tonner will be able to release photos to FDQ. Wanna bet the hold up is something like "We can't reach DT, he's holed up somewhere in Scotland in a back brace . . ."

The latest from my editor: the female dolls are approved, but the guys are still pending, because, "Tennant was in Tunisia and Barrowman was doing god-knows-what on tour or something." Yes, I know I need to post pics to photobucket so everyone can enjoy, but I'm trying to work at least 3 jobs these days . . . sweatdrop
