Giglamesh would run back to shinratsu looking at him with the O_o expression, he was useing a shovel to dig a trench....physical labor....and that boy ...in same act. It was different....very different. Giglamesh actualy decided to stand there watching for a minute, was this genjutsu or was he actually doing something like digging? Yes giglamesh was still standing there with two arms hugging loads of pure gold, and gold was bulging out of his pockets, but he was still amazed as that boy was digging a hole.
((....do we turn this in to the exp thread....im confused.))

It indeed was a strange sight: Shin was a mess, his once impeccable appearance stained with dirt: snow-white hair mixed in with traces of black, clothing and cheeks with smudges of mud and dirt. This may be brutal, uncouth work... But ah yes, Shin wasn't completing this for the sake of the village or anything. Yokou just saved his life and even got injured for her troubles... The least he could do was complete this trench. Yes, he had to admit he wasn't used to this kind of physical labor. It was exhausting, strength draining...and Shin knew perfectly well he wasn't even physically built very stablely in the first place... However, pure determination fueled him, as he continued attacking the ground with his spade.
He never noticed Giglamesh had come around by, and was watching. In his mind now, there was only the task...and this task that must be finished. The digging slowed... Was he truly not doing this for the village's sake? His gut feeling turned to one of apprehension. That boulder earlier was huge...if one was to hit the village... For some reason, Keiko-sensei and Maiyuri-chiisai-hime came into mind. The expression in his eyes hardened, as Shin attacked the dirt with renewed vigor. He absolutely won't allow it...
Yokou was saying something, pointing up. Shin lifted his gaze and...stared at the mountainside (expression: o____o).
That was one darn huge boulder...
And it was rolling down, straight for them!

((gigs saving him))
Giglamesh would see the rock comeing for shinratsu, and he knew he had no chance in the slightest, so giglamesh would litteraly chuck a peice of gold ore like a baseball at the large boulder, yeah like that was going to do anything. But it was purely power that threw the lump of gold and like bullet it whized in to the rock, then literally out the back of it. It didnt seem to do nothing but as it got closer the rock cracked more and more and crumbled it to small peices of rock that would all manage to miss shinratsu, he seemed to be in the clear the suddenly. DOINK! The peice of gold giglamesh threw would drop on top of shin's head, it basiacly had just fallen as it didnt have a great force much like how giglamesh like bonking his cell in the head to get there attention.

((Looks fun. I want to play! Though I'm not exactly sure how one would lose HP from the rocks. What is the damage?))
Word of natural elements threatening to doom the village spread through town like wildfire, leading Amaya to make her way towards Otouto. She could see that a few other shinobi had made their way out as well to put a stop to the troublesome situation and it was no surprise for her to see that one of those few shinobi was Gig-sensei. Is that gold in his arms? She wondered as she got closer to the commotion. FInally able to see that old was exactly what he was holding, she smirked, shaking her head slowly.
Her attention then wandered to the boy falling trough mid air towards a boulder. She blinked, recognizing him to be Raisuke. And boy did he look like he was in a tight predicament. Unfortunately, there was little room to help him at all since he was already prety far up ahead of her. Not to mention there was now a rather large hunk of rock shaking the earth while it barreled down the mountain side towards her.
Crouching low, Amaya raced forward, charging to meet the boulder head on. She took to the air, clasping both fists together, then brought them down forcefully into the rolling stone.

Even though Cronos had not been called on any offical ninja mission there had been reports about a rock slide that could destroy Iwa. Cronos thought what better way to show that he was worth somthing to the village other than saving it from something that could harm the people. Cronos made his way to where the rocks where coming down and he saw other ninja where helping including Gig,Rai, and Shin. "heh I well show them "Cronos muttered under his breath. Cronos looked up to see some boulders where going to fall ontop of him. Cronos paused tighten his headband "Ok I am ready"Cronos yelled as he attack the rock that was fall ontop of him.

Uh-oh. Shin thought, as the boulder started whizzing down the mountain side, at full speed. There was no time to dodge... He gritted his teeth and prepared to swing the shovel blindly...who knows, maybe he'll get lucky...never noticing that Yokou had her sword out, and had charged, Byakugan-mode eyes concentrated on the rock for a weak point...
Time seemed to slow down. She seemed to have found her target, as her stance shifted, into striking position, tilting the katana sheath for a better angle for the draw. But what if she misses...? The accuracy of a sword attacking exactly a particular point was much different than using bare hands... The chance of being slightly off is greater. And even if slightly off, unnecessary power will dissipate...and this giant boulder will not crack and shatter wholly.
A gamble.
CRRRACK.
One pale blue eye cracked open. Huh? The boulder was cracking? But Yokou, beside him, had dropped her kenjutsu stance. What on earth had just...? BONK! Shin reached up, staring at a (now) deformed gold nugget (gold is soft)...that presently looks something a lot like an arrowhead, probably shaped partly by the boulder itself, and had clunked against his head. Lightly though... The force was about all dissipated into the boulder. Shin didn't have to glance aside to know who had done it... "Giglamesh-sensei..."
Yokou next to him seemed calm...her tone was gentle as she spoke, but her words were scathing.
"Shinratsu - pay attention." Yokou's tone was cold as she reprimanded him. She didn't restrap Kusanagi to her back, but kept it out - just in case that another boulder rolls down. Since Kaiten was out of the question, and Hakke Kuushou might potentially disturb more boulders... The best way was a clean one...even if she despised this blade.
"You say that you will see this task through. But are you certain that you even knew what you were talking about?" Furious, she had found it difficult to find the right words. "And twicefold displaying your incapability of defending yourself...did you think this a game?" Shin breathed in, and out again... He tried to defend his view...but no words came out. In fact...was this a pang of guilt...for making her worry?
"I...gomen..." A moment's breath...as Shin looked away. "But...I promised Zephyr-dono not out of arrogance..."
Shinratsu's hands clutched tightly around the handle of the shovel. "It's his challenge. And I won't back down!" Shin began attacking the dirt again. "If I aim only to become a Ninjutsu master, I will never advance past the limits of my line..." The digging became more furious, more frantic now. "As sickly, as physically weak...I still want to do something..." The furious staking stopped. "I'm not doing this just because duty calls! As much as I dislike this sort of menial labor..." His voice trailed off and Shin wiped at the mud on his cheeks with his sleeves... "If I don't face my shortcomings, I'll never really grow. If I am always being protected...how am I supposed to protect anyone, then?"
"Shinratsu..." Yokou attempted to reason, albeit a bit impatiently. "Those boulders are at least four times your size and ten times your weight. Why can't you understand that you are not Zephyr-sensei, that there's a time for everything but this is not yours yet?" A pause. "In the future, you will have no trouble with this."
"I realize it all right. I know I am incapable of breaking a boulder straight hand... He can probably even bring down this whole mountain, if he tried... That is why, rather than the fox dreaming of a swan dinner (Chinese metaphor of wishing to attain something impossible)...I will reach for something more attainable first." Stake. Shovel. Stake. "What sort of shinobi will I be, if I can't even endure this work?"
It was futile to change his mind. So stubborn...but his heart is in the right direction. The trench was growing, slowly, but Shinratsu was progressing along. One a while, he would freeze the mud, so that the the trench does not cave in on itself.

12+5=17+13=30 (pass) 1/10 Cronos would put punch up at the boulder that was falling ontop of him. His attack would cause a large crack to apear in it but that was not strong enough to destroy it.The bolder start to push Cronos back almost off the cliff "s**t s**t "Cronos yelled as he tried to stop the boulder. Cronos focused and pushed it back a little than attack the bolder again in the same spot he had weakend from earlier. Cronos blow caused the the boulder to split in two than turn to dust as it hit the ground beside him. Cronos sighed "Damn that was close"Cronos look back up to see more bolders coming his way.Cronos took the Kurisutoru Genkotusu stance and took a deep breath and waited for the next boulder to come his way ignoring the slight pain from his hands.

((Lolz. Shin is the only one going for trench method hn? Good to know I brought in some variation.))
It seemed that an abnormal fire had kindled in Shinratsu: the ferocity and determination he attacked the ground with his spade... Was it really necessary? The goal was to build a trench, certainly, but from how he was acting...it was as if Shinratsu was planning to build one around the whole mountain. As preposterous as the very idea seemed...he was actually intent on doing it. Since there was no way to convince him, the Sannin next to him, as unhappy as she was, still kept up her part of keeping lookout for incoming boulders. Only this time, she didn't go further than a few inches from the developing hole in the ground. She would not risk the child's life...
Shinratsu wondered briefly why Yokou...why would Yokou-hime not mind getting dirt and mud over her shoes and clothing... Didn't Hyuuga pride themselves greatly for cleanness? But...true...this whole situation was rather odd. Two head of families of prestigious clans... No mud soiled her face, but highly displeased, Yokou offered to use Kaiten right on the hole Shinratsu had gotten to progress so she could remove the child from this kind of work, and he can get some well-deserved rest...
Clearly, she wanted him out of the area as quickly as possible. Heh. A rueful smile crossed his lips. Was it because of her duty as a medic...or...was she simply just that kind of person, the rare type to care for others so indiscriminately? Both she and Keiko-sensei... And even if Yokou didn't know his brutal past...both were as if trying to ameliorate...and provide balance to his deprivation of his mother... It was a cruel kind of sympathy...the kind that Shinratsu didn't know exactly for sure how to place it as. And the kind of sympathy...that he loathed...because of the feeling of indebtment...and...
The feeling of experiencing just a little bit of kindness...

Cronos watch the boulder getting closer and closer. Cronos looked up to pick out the weak point as it was about to hit him. "Got it"Cronos muttered to himself as he shift it forword and put his weight into his strike to but he figure to be the middle of the boulder. The boulder stoped right in its place and turned to dust from the force of Cronos attack on it. "Hell yes" Cronos yelled as he celebrated his victory. Cronos breathed in once more to refocus himself on the task at hand. The next boulder seemed bigger that the other two he had destroyed before it seemed to come faster than he thought. "Ok Cronos you got this"Cronos said with a serious tone as it came crashing into him.

Shin could sense it...the next boulder...it was drawing closer and closer. A thunderous roar down the mountainside. Ugh... He thought, almost in dismay, upon noticing the size of that thing... Yet...however... A glance in Gig's direction... The expression on his face was clear: Shinratsu wanted to prove Yokou wrong and tackle this boulder on his own. He reached for the kunais in his shuriken pouch, with the fine thin wire than hunter-nins utilized attached... He removed his left hand's gauntlet, and touched the wire, channeling the chakra through the wires.
The steel lit to a pale glowing blue.
A gentle hand on his shoulder. Shinratsu stiffened, with wide eyes, as that sword Yokou wielded had extended. A flick of the wrist and swift movements...the boulder, she had disarmed it wholly: in fact, sliced it into harmless little square pieces, so that they cannot roll. Why did she interfere? If it was a matter of destroying the boulder, he could've done that on his own!
"I didn't teach you Ayame Tori to waste your chakra." Yokou said simply, sheathing her sword. A pause. "There is a chance you might have succeeded... Yes...most likely you would have." Her expression darkened. "...but there's a chance you might not. Wires strengthened by chakra can be more durable than weapons and the stronger one's mastery, such wires can even endure the weight of several elephants." Pale eyes met blue ones. "So. Did you consider what might happen, if those wires sliced cleanly through the mountainside?"

((i know gold is soft))
Giglamesh would drop all the gold he held in his arms in a pile, then he would begin to remove the gold from her person and also throw them on the pile, untill all the gold on him was in the single pile. He would then squat and does several incredibly fast hand chakra seals with only his right hand he would then blow a concentrated kakyaku on to the pile of gold, much like a cutting torch to get it hot the top would begin to melt and pour threw the cervices of the others melting down threw the entire pile, making it one solid pile. Giglamesh would then use a incredibly low power futon diattopa to cool the gold, he would test it be really quickly touching it, and since it didnt burn he he would grab it again slightly slower before just putting his hand on it. It was warm but not enough to burn him, he would pick up his giant chunk of unprocessed gold under his left arm and go back over ti shinratsu.
Giglamesh would begin to intercept the rock, but youko would destroy it before he was able to kick it. Then he would begin to stare at that blade, it called to him but it was a dark sinister call that he didnt like, it was obvious he was going to stay around to watch shin dig the hole, but actually to protect him. Giglamesh would just sqat on the side of the path at the edge of his trench just looking down at him, he heard every thing they stated he just didnt want to say anything on it, he belived it was for shin to chose his path, and regardless of the path he chose gig would be there for him.

...so that ruled out Ayame Tori. Or at least, Yokou forbade it. Shinratsu sighed. This whole ordeal was...absolutely baffling. One wrong move, and he may disturb the balance worse than it already was. Well sure, he could understand where Yokou's land-slide theory came from... It was logical, heavy rains would soften rock, perhaps explaining why there's a humus layer of earth present in the first place. Anyways, for the dangerously unstable rock...if the wires destroyed the lower mountain face, then whatever's on top will come crashing down. Yep. Then escaping will be a real problem. One boulder at a time crashing down, sure thing, Yokou and Giglamesh could handle it.
But if the whole mountainside came down on their heads... He tried not to think about it and returned to his trench.
After a considerable while... "Half-way..." Shinratsu huffed, apparently tiring out. Understandably too...this crude type of physical labour was something on a totally different standing to whatever he had priorly endured. And then he stopped. "I..." With his head still lowered (from digging position), his expression was unseeable, thanks to his long bangs and sideburns that hid his face. "Until...until I make it...
The wind whistled through the valley.
"...watch over me...?"
And these words was not to Yokou alone...

Wait for it, wait for it, wait for ittttt "bonk" again with the wood knocking noise as giglamesh bonked shin's head with the back of his hand. "..FOCOUS!...Longer your here more risk your at....hurry up and get done so i can take pictures of this to show kei....shell never believe it." Giglamesh stood and had a incredibly coy looking grin with his eye closed, he didnt even seem to notice the rock quickly approaching shinratsu again do to playing around with him. The rock was quickly approaching giglamesh, yet it didnt look like he was going to move or do anything. Youko was the only one of the group with fast enough eye to see it, chakra would pour out from his right foot and it was so concentrated it would be seen by the naked eye, then right at it would of hit giglamesh, he would kick his left leg straight up bending back slightly to basically kick his foot over his shoulder hitting the rock right before it hit him. With his sheer power and chakra adding even further to destruction, the rock basically exploded to sand and dust. giglamesh would then bring his foot back in to place, it was do so fast to shin the rock would of only seemed to explode to dust, but she saw it all.

A ghost of a smile crossed Yokou's face. Finally...this boy learned to ask for something of others... "Just worry about the digging." As if to complement that statement...
The concentration he dedicated to completing his trench...and still parting energy to speak with Yokou and Giglamesh... Also, that the next boulder was smaller, though much less denser...he did not notice yet another one coming. Gig bopped him on the head and scowling slightly, the boy clutched his head. "I know, I know...I'm working on it - ah...huh?" Shinratsu blinked, confused, as a shower of sand and dust exploded from nowhere. Did Giglamesh just do something? Even though his eyes were sharp, he only caught about a split second manuever. Giglamesh's expression betrayed nothing, however. And though Shin knew a shower of sand and dust don't just come out of nowhere, he knew better than to press on. The Jounin probably won't tell him anyways. Raising the shovel, he attacked the dirt with renew vigor. Yokou had promised undisturbed trenching. And he trusted her word for it.
