He made a gesture that was meant to dismiss the idea, but shrugged anyway. Whatever the other kid wanted, sure. "Later," he stated simply, and headed downstairs in the lead of the other boy, taking his seat, tail sticking out one of the gaps in the back of it and swishing contentedly as he watched Adhara and his father set up the meal for that night, which appeared to be another of those weird, health-food things that Noah always ate. It was spinach and cheese raviolis, along with way too much Parmesan cheese -fresh, of course- with this weird-looking, creamy red sauce to go with it.
Aludra was seated at one head of the table, his father at the other, Lironax at his right and Adhara at his left. As soon as the food was in front of them, some kind of movie playing in the living room, Aludra outstretched one hand to grab one of the raviolis off Adhara's plate and take a bite out of it. Adhara rolled her eyes a bit, used to this behavior as of now. She chuckled softly, giving a gentle smile to the little boy staying with them.
"I'll bet he did," Noah commented with a soft laugh accompanied by a smile toward his toddler. "He's an amazing chess player, even by generalized standards," he said, ignoring the fact that Aludra had started shaking his head and growling rather angrily. "And compared to his own age group, he's practically a genius."

Lironax poked the odd food on his plate with his fork curiously; he had never seen food that looked, well, so fancy before. Most of the foods he ate with Silas back home were made in the microwave. Sticking the ravioli on his fork, he brought it up to his mouth and took a hesitant bite out of it, flapping his wing and tentacle when he found it was quite hot still. However, once he got past the heat, the boy found he rather liked the flavor, and took another, slightly bigger, bite.
"Yah, I could tell dat. He was like WOOSH-" here the young spawn waved his arm in a wide arc to demonstrate just how 'woosh' Aludra's chess playing was- "and den I was beated." Lir grinned and looked over at the Greed child, only to be confused by the growling and angry looks. Leaning over, he poked Aludra gently in the head with his tentacle. "You okay, 'Ludra? You look all angers."

Aludra listened to everything with a strange form of fury growing in his stomach; one would think, looking at someone like him, that Humility had become his sin, given any compliments didn't make him shy and bashful, they simply made him angry, as in his mind none of them were true. At all. He grabbed up his fork, and jabbed it into the food on his own plate, shoving it in his mouth to keep from yelling at his father in front of company, something he'd been told was rude by his sister. If Noah had said that, he would never stop screaming at him.
He glared harshly at Lironax when the comment escaped the smaller boy's mouth, the red around the rims of his eyes seeming almost to take up more of the iris, before he shook his head and glared at his food. "'Ludra not good 'nothing. 'Ludra not smart, not 'gee-nee-us'. Shuddup, stupid," he growled, pointing his fork at Noah before eating the ravioli off the end of it. His father coughed softly into his hand. "Aludra, we don't talk like that. Especially at the dinner table."

Lironax was definitely surprised to hear Aludra's reaction to the compliments he was receiving. He hadn't met anyone that didn't like to be told they were good at something. He, for example, adored it when Silas said he did good. But he didn't press the matter, and turned obediently back to the food on his plate, shrugging off the insult like it was water. He was pretty sure 'Ludra didn't mean it; he was just being weird. The boy looked up and smiled at the Greed spawn, trying to calm the waters again. "Sorry, 'Ludra. You just looked rully good to me, is all. Won't say it 'gain."
He nibbled at his ravioli in silence for a few minutes, swinging his feet idly in the tense-ish silence, before he spoke up once again. He didn't like it when things weren't going right. "Dis food is nummy, 'Ludra's daddee. I never had shtuff like it before. What's it made of?" He chewed quietly as he waited for an answer, chancing a sidelong look at his sullen friend. Hopefully if the talkings weren't about him, he would stop being so angry.

After Noah and Lironax had finished speaking, there was an obvious tension in the room. Aludra poked at his food a bit, before reaching out to stab into one of the pieces of ravioli on Lir's plate and stuff that into his mouth instead of his own. Adhara nudged him with her elbow lightly, giving him a harsh, parental-esque glare. He swallowed the mouthful and stuck his tongue out at her. With a roll of her eyes, it was back to the silent tension once again, until Lironax asked his question, which led Noah to smile happily at the compliment to his cooking.
"Thank you for that, Lir; it's good to hear that I'm a good cook," he said, staring pointedly at Aludra, who just grumbled and went back to dissecting his meal, but eating off Adhara's plate. "Actually, the raviolis themselves were made by Adhara earlier today-" The girl in question smiled proudly at her accomplishment. "-and they've got cheese and spinach in them. The sauce is actually... I think a garlic-alfredo mixed with marinara. I'm glad that you like it, Lironax."

Lironax blinked when Aludra took one of his food-things, but didn't say anything about it. He didn't want to make him angry again; that was scary. Besides, he could survive with one less food-thing. He wasn't even sure he could have eaten that one, anyway.
The boy beamed at Noah, only understanding about half of the explanation but appreciating it all the same. All of those ingredients sounded so delicious, it made him happy just to hear them. Popping another... um... ravivioli into his mouth, he talked around it. "Wow, dat's a lotta 'gredients, 'Ludra's daddee. Nofing my daddee makes has so manee fings in it." He swallowed, and then grinned pleasantly. He liked staying here already.

Somehow, somewhere in the odd quiet of the little family or during the time while Noah was explaining the ingredients, but Adhara and Aludra had somehow managed to get into a fight about etiquette, and though it was quiet to begin with, it certainly seemed to be raising in volume. That was mostly Aludra, who'd momentarily forgotten there were other people in the room.
"Doesn't care!!" he yelled irritably, slamming the fork onto his partially-emptied plate, making a rather loud clatter that made his foster father wince slightly. "Doesn't matter, 'nyway!! Would have said!!" he growled, before dropping from his chair and storming back up the stairs, flexing clawless fingers, wishing desperately that, at the very least, he had a door to slam. He hated being angry. It was one of the few situations where he actually wanted people to notice him.
He hated that feeling.

Lironax jumped almost a foot in the air when Aludra yelled, and stared in some mix of fear and amazement as the Greed child stomped angrily up the stairs. Part of him wanted to follow him, but that wouldn't be good manners. So, in the suffocating quiet, Lir finished off his remaining ravioli in small bites, wiped up a few crumbs and then hopped off of the chair, smiling widely at Noah. "Fanks fer de foods, 'Ludra's daddee. Dey were yummee."
With that, Lironax walked back up the stairs, hesitating at the top only for a second before recalling which room was Aludra's - and therefore his until Silas came back. He walked softly up to the gap where the door would have been, and cleared his throat before entering. "Um.. 'Ludra? Are you okays? You seem... not good."

Aludra didn't understand this stupid emotion. It made him want everyone to see him and tell him how revolting they truly believed he was, he truly believed he was. His tail lashed back and forth as he paced his small room. Surprisingly, none of his things had been touched; he hadn't broken anything or hurt his things.
Unfortunately, the same didn't go for the rest of himself. There were slim strands of pink hair littering the floor and bite marks and scratches as deep as he could manage through his scales and thick skin. If that wasn't enough, some of the larger feathers had been torn from his wings, which had stopped bleeding by the point, but it wasn't the best sight in the world.
As if on impulse, the toddler growled furiously upon the entrance of his 'friend', tri-coloured eyes glaring at the new arrival, the red that normally edged his irises consuming them more heavily than it usually did. He stared for a moment, before going back to pacing, his form trembling softly as he dug his dull nails into the palms of his hands. "Is fine. Should leave; see 'Dhara."

Lironax was, to put it bluntly, taken completely aback by the state his new friend was in. The closest thing he had seen to this was when his daddy got all tense and bothered sometimes, but then he would lock himself in his office and not come out for a long time. From what the boy could guess, Silas made himself feel better by writing and writing and writing, but 'Ludra... 'Ludra tore himself up. The idea made Lir a little squeamish.
However, even after he was glared at, Lir didn't leave. Hurting things was bad, after all, even if you hurt yourself. And friends don't just leave friends to be sad. That would be terrible. So, after a moment's uncertainty, Lir walked up close to where Aludra was and began picking up the bits of hair and feathers, setting them in a small pile in the corner. "Adhee'll be fine fer a bit. I should clean up dis mess." Golden eyes stared, then winced at the blood that caked around the other's ankles. "Um... do you wanna band-aid, 'Ludra?"

The boy should have left, should be gone at this point, but of course he wasn't. Of course he decided that staying in the room with the hot-tempered Greed demon was a good idea, when it truly wasn't. At all.
Then again, perhaps Aludra cared enough about this stupidly persistent boy to actually keep from wounding him, which was the first thing that he wanted to do. Well, not 'wanted', but itched to do. He paused in his pacing and watched the boy, his gaze slowly softening until he gave a gentle sigh, stepping forward to take the others wrist and pull him up off the floor where he was picking things up, the red in the toddler's eyes slowly receding once again.
"Is fine. Can clean later," he stated, a soft hint of irritation in his voice, though he did the best job he could muster in keeping from hurting the Lust child. "Should get sleep; getting late," he stated, gesturing toward the clock that read 9:18pm.

Lironax had by now almost thrown himself into picking up the discarded pieces of Aludra, trying not to focus on anything else. It was easier to ignore the tension in the room that way. That being said, it took him completely off-guard when the other boy took his wrist, so much so that he squeaked quietly. The bundle of hair that was in his hands fell to the ground, followed by the more lethargic feathers.
"O-oh. Okay, den." he replied, inwardly relieved that Aludra's eyes looked less scary now. He too looked at the clock, and was surprised to see how late it was. Silas usually put him to bed when the clock showed the double-circle and then two big circles. Nodding, he went over to the bed and, after gently placing a stack of comic books on the ground, laid down. Hesitantly, Lir looked across the room. "Are you gon'na sleep now too, 'Ludra?"

Aludra only watched the other get into bed, and when question, he held up one of his fingers in a 'one second' gesture, leaving his room to turn off the lights in the stairwell and the ones in the hallway, turning on the bathroom light down the hall, positioning the door so that the light pooled into his room through the thin curtain-thing that was his 'door'.
He returned to his room and flicked off his own light, making it seem that much later as he yawned gently, walking over to the bed and slipping himself under the covers, curling up in the upper corner of the bed that was his, tail wrapping around his legs much like a cat's. "Mmm. 'Night, Lir'nax."

Lironax watched as Aludra turned off most of the lights, impressed by how grown-up the toddler already was. He knew that he never turned off the lights at home, especially not before bedtime; usually he would be asleep within a few minutes of lying down.
However, this being a completely new house and all, the boy stayed awake, almost determinedly, until Aludra was lying next to him. Feeling a little safer with another warm body next to his, Lironax ducked under the covers as well, folding up his wing and curling up his tentacle. With a yawn, he closed his eyes. "Nighty-night, 'Ludra. See ya in de mornin'."
