Sir Ichigo I have officially run out of space for books in my bedroom and must now purchase another book shelf, which I'll probably have to put in front of my window. Books are more important than sunlight anyway. wink

My library has no book sales, but I've got an entire wall full of great books in my basement---and I mean an entire wall. My older brother read a lot when he was younger, and since we have the same taste in books, I've read them all, occasionally adding my own. I've got my own little haven im my closet though. All my favorite(MANY)books are in there.

I think every book I've ever bought has been my best buy, because I feel that if a book's good, then it's worth what you paid for it.
(And my library's book sale sucks... crying )

When I was about six my dad brought home a big box of books that had a lot of Judy Blume books and Beverly Cleary books that some lady had given him for free. There also used to be a lot of bookfairs at school, so I got a ton of books from there for very little. 3nodding

I've only ever bought a few books, but I did go to a scholastic book fair thing with like thousands of books that teachers (and homeschoolers, which I was at the time) got half price. Also, I got a book I thought was good on the dollar shelf at Barnes and Noble.
My library's sales are terrible too.

My library never has book sales or anything. Maybe it's because my school is new. I never get any good deals on books though. I just buy them for full price except I got Hearts in Atlantis at a used book store for $4.

I was in the city purchasing a video game when I stopped by The Big Book Sale store before coming home. The place is closing on Sunday so all the books were like 80% off. Hardcovers were $2 and paperbacks were $1. I purchased two hardcovers: The Family by Mario Puzo and The Secret History of the Pink Carnation by Lauren Willig. I'm particularly pleased with Pink Carnation and can't wait to start reading it.
However, I feel that I should finish this massive amount of books that I checked out from the library first. whee

Well I have to say the time I got the whole Belagrath series by David Eddings for free was a pretty good buy. They would have been 5 cents but it was the end of the day so I got them for free!

I had very good book buying luck not too long ago.
I was at school, and my Mother was at a garage sale. I went into the library to do research and noticed that a table was full of books to be taken. For FREE. I got a few books, all very good. Later that night, my Mother came home with every book by Anne Rice, as well as The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer: My Life At Rose Red. I think she paid about thirteen dollars. Good day.... heart

Once at a fate at the end the book stall hadn't sold everything so you were given a bag and everything you could fit in your bag was yours free.
Filled up a shelf that way.

I bought 46 books at my favorite used book sotre for $15 and these are books that should cost hundreds of dollars all together.

My best would be a group of 15 books, 5 of which were hardcover (publication dates of which range from 1979 to 1966), and 10 paperbacks. Which I bought at a friends yardsale.
All for less then six dollars. All of the books were in wonderful condition, some where even in such great shape you would swear they were brand-new and never read.
