Daisuke arched a brow. "Play?" He paused. "Oh! Like sparring?" He asked, tail wagging slightly. "Well, if that's the case...talking and such...sure." He told her, smiling. "I just...don't know if I'll come this way again..." Murmured, his voice trailing off. "I'm usually as far away from humans as Canine-d-ly possible."

His face fell a bit.

"Gomen-ne..."

Aysu let out a sigh of relief.
"I was starting to worry you didn't want to be my friend..." she replied, stopping when his look changed and he apologized. What was he apologizing fo- oh...
"You... You don't like humans... or pets, do you?" she asked, her shoulders slumping. Innocent and care-free as she seemed, Aysu was an intelligent creature and quite perceptive when she chose to be. She knew there were wild and stray dogs out there that hated pets and vice versa. She didn't really understand it, herself. If she liked living with her family, a family that protected and cared for one another and where happy and Daisuke liked living with his family that protected and cared for one another and where happy, then why should it really matter that her family was made of humans and his of dogs? Sure, their lifestyles were different, but it wasn't like it was set in stone. Things could change in the blink of an eye. Why did others have to hate?

Verizehn had taught him quite a lot and he had learned through her that pets aren't always these fragile little china dolls everyone he knew made them out to be. But this one seemed a bit niave. That was beside the point.

He sighed, ears drooping a bit. "S'not you, Aysu-san...not at all." He told her, his eyes meeting hers. "All I mean is I don't know if our paths will ever cross again." He explained. "As soon as I find my sensei I'm headed to the Alps. A good friend of mine used to be a pet and knocked some sense into me." He smiled ruefully. "I had the bump to prove it." he told her with a slight chuckle.

"And what about you? What if your humans catch you with me?" He asked.

Aysu took in what he told her nodding slowly.
"I understand. If fate wants us to cross paths again, then I'll be happy," she replied with a small smile and leaned over to scratch at one ear while she thought about how to answer his question.
"I guess it all depends. Miss Miya would want to give you food and Kumiko would want to pet and keep you so that I could have a friend always," she replied, smiling. Kumiko often asked her daddy to get another dog so that she wasn't a lonely dog. Juun would always reply that they didn't have room for another, no matter how small.
"Juun would probably just call me and take me home and take me to the vet. He's a really nice human, but we don't have room for... ah... in case I... I mean... You know," she trailed off, unable to form the words as a blush settled on her cheeks. Her humans didn't have a whole lot of money to deal with many vet bills, so Juun didn't go the extra step if he didn't have to. Plus, he was of the mind that taking away a part of her natural abilities wasn't fair to her, as she had once overheard him explaining to one of Kumiko's nurses, so he had refused the option to have her spayed. He just made sure he kept her inside when she started to get... "agitated".

Daisuke nodded as he listened, before reclining to a sitting position. "Heh, well I can assure you that won't be an issue. You seem nice but I hardly know you." He said with a smirk as he tipped her a wink. "Besides, not all wild dogs are hard up for a little action. A lot are but..." He gave a shrug. "Well, I guess I'm just different." The male explained. "And, I'd like that too. You know, fate has a funny way of working sometimes." He canted his head to one side. "Did you have a choice in the life you lead?" He asked. "I've always wondered how aquiring a human works...not that I'm in the market or anything." He added with a slight laugh.

He still didn't quite understand why any dog would want to live with humans. They just couldn't understand certain things let alone communicate properly.

Aysu smiled.
"I'm usually a pretty good judge of character. I ran into one of those dogs once, but I got away before anything could happen. I guess it's something in their eyes," she replied with a bit of a shrug. When he asked about how she came to be a pet, she had to think about it for a moment before continuing.
"Well, no, not really. My mother and father were show dogs, really proper and pure-lined and whatnot. I was the runt of the litter, and my coat is a little strange, so their humans didn't want to keep me. They sold me to a nice man who had a shop that never smelled the same way twice, with lots of other animals, a lot of whom I'd never even heard of. One day Juun came in, and the nice man said I was the perfect one for Kumiko. She needed someone who could protect her always and comfort her when her dad wasn't around," she paused there, her smile taking on a sad quality. "I've been living with them ever since... Oh! But that's not the only way. Sometimes, stray dogs get homes or pets can run away." Her smile grew cheerful again. "I just don't really want to leave for good, you know? Going out every week or so is fun, but I'd never leave Kumiko for forever."

The male listened politely. He bit back the remark, 'So, what's the point? It's just a human.' And instead nodded along. "Well I can tell you really love her." He said sincerely. "She'd have to be a good human for you to love her so."

His face grew slightly pensive. "So, I suppose humans are a bit like dogs...there are good ones and bad ones...am I right?" He asked.

If that were true it didn't exactly mean he'd look for one for himself. He didn't want nor did he need one. He doubted he could even stand to be around Aysu's little one just from fear and hatred ingrained on him since he was born. But he also doubted Aysu had had humans try to hurt or kill her before.

All in all, there was a lot he couldn't wrap his mind around.

Aysu smiled and nodded. Kumiko was like her own pup sometimes.
"She's as innocent and kind as a newborn pup," she replied and nodded again.
"They're more like us than one might think. A lot of my park-friends don't really see it, but I do. They do that work thing, but they do it to get food and protect their family, just like dogs do. Sometimes... About half of the time, there are mean ones and they do bad things, but the others are just... normal," she added, ending off with a yawn.

"Believe it or not, I've heard of full grown humans totally afraid of us, just because another dog was mean to them or scared or hurt them when they were little. Or worse, their parents were afraid of us and made their kid afraid. Isn't that horrible? I always feel bad when Miss Maya is taking me for a walk and I see a cute little kid and go to get pettings and they scream or cry and shy away from me."

Aysu looked up towards the sky and pouted just a bit.
"I need to go. It was nice meeting you, and I hope we meet again!" she rushed, standing and turning around, heading back towards humanity. But she'd come back soon. She liked Daisuke.
