[[that's true, this nation does attract the crazys. But that's what makes it the best]]

"You were at the part where you were about to give me a five pound puppet made of hollow sheet metal?" Hitomi suggested, grinning slightly. Although, there was something she liked about the beast of a puppet that was before her. No one would be stealing it, that's for sure.... It reminded her of something else that she wanted that was ridiculously huge and cumbersome. My sword.... She sighed, figuring it would be best to try this puppet out before she got any ideas about a sword taller than she was.

"oh yeah shippo kakakiri...crafted from aluminum it weighs only eighteen pounds." The second puppet that appeared in the mountain would appear behind hitomi cloaked in a cloak still, It just stood there but suddenly the cloak seemed to explode from off of it in to shredded pieces. It looked like a incredibly skinny bug like robot. But it held its arm out and as its hands extened they were scythe blades, that seemed pretty cool right that must of been where it got the mantis name. Suddenly the scythes cycled around where there were five blade...that go pretty cooler, then the disconnected from the arms and the wrists and small hatches opened on its chest and blue energy glew from these hatches and the scythe blade spun like buzz saws in mid and and would spiral around the puppet before returning to its wrists joints and the scythe would fold back up to a single scythe blade and it went back to standing there.

"Yeah...its not happening you get iron man." He didnt say anything next thing she would know was that he had shackled a cuff to her left leg, which had a chain connected to other side of chain was the puppet named Iron man that she thought was useless and to heavy. "Well look at that....you like him so much you fanatically connected your self to it..nice. good now shall we begin before you can control a puppet you must be able to make puppet string...to do this...touch your puppet and concentrate your chakra in to it....then more your hand away if you do it right you should see a cable of chakra connecting the two."

[[puppet strings part of puppet technique
rules Roll 1d20 + 1 per 10 in chk control= Must beat a dc of 14 10 times.

Kugutsu no Jutsu (Puppet Technique)
Just like a marionette, the user controls a puppet using strings of chakra from his fingers. This skill is often prepared in coordination with Kawarimi no Jutsu (Change of Body Technique), so the user can quickly replace their body with the puppet when they feel the need to activate it. Another useful quality of this skill is the fact that the puppet can take the form of another person, object, or, more commonly, the form of the user. Puppets are fitted with various hidden devices, most commonly extendable blades, various projectile launchers, and poison, both in gaseous form and liquid coating their weapons. This technique can also be adapted to control humans as if they were puppets, or another puppeteer's puppets.
Cp cost: 2 cp per round the puppets are used.
Damage: Depends on puppet power.
Requirements: Puppet users only, Chakra Control 5, Perform Puppet Play 1.
Training: 2 days
Special: Must master this jutsu before attempting to fight with puppets. ]]

((Roll = 1d20 + 3

Which means I have to roll an 11 to pass

OK. I officially hate the dice. That's just cruel.))

Hitomi CP: 17/19

Hitomi sighed, resigning herself to her fate. She listened to his instructions, deciding that the only way to avoid carrying this thing was to get it to pull its own weight. She focused on her finger and touched the puppet, hoping this would come more easily than some other things had come. "You might regret chaining me to this puppet... I might just come back stronger than you." Hitomi grinned slyly, pulling her finger away from her puppet's hand slowly. She sighed as the line held for a second, and then vanished. "I hope your wind turns sour, you b*****d." She muttered to the vanished string

Hitomi CP: 15/19

Hitomi sighed, imagining herself as a spider, her finger was her spinneret. Chakra was her silk. This was going to work. It had to. She was more than capable of doing something this simple. All it took was willpower and chakra. And she had more than enough of both. And that, it seemed, would be her downfall. The puppet's limb popped away from her finger as she forced too much chakra into it. She sighed. This is going to take a looong while.... She could do this, though... She had to...

Ok... That's out of my system.... *breathes*))

Hitomi CP: 13/19

Hitomi kept chanting it in her head. She needed to do this. She needed and arm. For Ki. She needed to be whole. She put her finger to the marionette and breathed softly, pulling her finger from the metal, staring at a chakra string that wavered softly, but seemed like it was going to hold... And then it faded away "DAMMIT!" Hitomi breathed, her fist tightening before she got control over herself. Ok... Just breathe... Because if you don't, you'll turn blue, and while your hair has decided to, it doesn't make a damn difference. If your skin turns blue, who's to say it won't clash? She sighed at her mind, but had to laugh, anyway.

Hitomi CP: 11/19

The Sukai-tou exile sighed, forcing herself to calm down before she blasted the puppet across the room. If I could manage that, even. She took a deep breath and pictured the puppet moving effortlessly at her slightest movement. That kept her going. If she could manage this, she could be her own ninja again. She placed her index finger to the palm of her puppet, almost like she was holding a sick friend's hand, and pulled it away. Floating there was a thin line of chakra. Solid. Unwavering. She grinned softly "There we go...."

Hitomi CP: 9/19

She let the line disappear. Hitomi completely ignored Kaijinbo's existence. She was wrapped in her training. She had a calm appearance to her, but her eye... Her eye was positively flaming with concentration. She was doing this as if her life depended on it. And it might. If she was not as strong as she could possibly be, she would never survive. Kurokouchuu had taught her that. And she was not going to forget it. She needed this like a fish needs water. She needed to be able to trust her body to hold up in life or death situations. And it was going to. She was going to make sure of that.

Hitomi CP: 7/19

She focused on the task at hand as another line wavered out of existence, and she sighed, although it didn't really bother her. She was staring at the metal, and willing something into existence. It wouldn't bother her if it took her a while to master this. Besides, Kaijinbo needed some competition. And Hitomi could damn well give it to him. But she needed a few years to practice. It was never going to be easy. She had known this. Especially when Gig had first told her about him. She breathed out, touching her puppet again. And the line that trailed from her finger disappeared.

Hitomi CP: 5/19

She realized something. What she had just thought. Her puppet. It wasn't just a hunk of junk. It was her hunk of junk. And she sighed softly, chuckling as she though about that a second. On loan. She remembered all the times she had given everything up, thinking that that was the only way to exist... But belonging... That was something else entirely. Being needed by someone other than someone acting purely on sexual drives... That was completely different than being alone. It was... Nice? She reached out and touched Iron Man's hand, pulling her fingers back and watching the solid line that bridged the gap. She grinned again, letting it fade away.

Hitomi CP: 3/19

And Hitomi could remember all the times she had ever stubbornly clung to what she thought was right. Or what she had wanted. And she bore plenty of scars reminding her of just how many times she had gotten caught sneaking to Ki... How many times she had been punished for doing something wrong that she knew was right. Each one lit up in her mind on her back, and they far outnumbered any other scars she had. She smiled softly. They would always remind her of Ki, no matter what happened. Although, Ki was back now. Ki was not dead. She smiled at that. There finally was purpose to this. And this jutsu seemed to be getting easier, as Hitomi pulled her finger away to reveal another successful chakra string.

Hitomi CP: 1/19

Ki was back... And Hitomi's life was finally starting to work out. She wasn't in pain any more, except for her shoulder, but not for long. She was a genin, and there was nothing standing in her way but herself. There's nothing that could make her life any better than if she could automatically know everything she wanted to know. Of course, it could never be that easy, could it? She sighed softly, still smiling. Touching her finger to her puppet, she pulled away another line that flickered out of existence. Is it me, or am I getting worse at this?

He was walking...walking to where? The streets of this place, he does not know... Home...wasn't...here. This place is... He stops, hesitantly, and looked blankly at some of the brilliant signs... His own voice sounded so hollow. "Welcome...to...Iwa..." Iwa. The name sounded foreign and familiar at once to him. Just like...that...place... The walk through the streets...it was a dazed, feverish journey... Pain through his body...pain that shouldn't be there...or should it? His vision blurred, the surroundings twisted sickeningly... Just... Just until he can reach there.

Darkness.

Thump.

Unconsciousness claimed him.

((Hide = roll + 5))

User ImageNikolai seemed to materialize, quitting even his strictest traditions by taking a weapon into a building. He caught the child carefully in his arms, catching him with the bare insides of his palms and forearms. "Kid? You need to relax before you really hurt yourself again." Nikolai picked the child up, ducking back through the door, kissing the doorframe as he left, to make amends to the building for this gross injustice. The man looked around and attempted to move through the crowd without the other guy seeing them... Although, he wasn't exactly sure how well that might pan out, being who he was..

Hide: (Dex)
Use this skill to sink back into the shadows and move unseen, approach a guard post under cover of local scenery, or tail someone through the streets of a busy village without being noticed. The counter skill for hide is a spot, a successful spot check reveals the location the ninja is hiding. Using smoke bombs increase your hide check by + 6

The child had not regained consciousness...even though his eyes were opened - as if he had snapped awake from a nightmare - that alone was clear. There was no focus, an unreadable look...his orbs - obsidian - the same unreadable colour as that so famously attributed to his kinsmen.

It was only feverish whispering...but why...why did these delusional moments...feel as if it was the child's true personality trying to convey something? Before he broke, before he remembered nothing... "Why...is the moon that color again...?" The broken words - as if in a gasp of realization, connecting the present with something in the past. But what could he be referring to? The moon overhead was only faintly a dusty shade of copper, perhaps from the dust of the surrounding land...

Red...red...there was only one color in his world. Red and darkness... Not the friendly brilliant ruby of Yuumei's eyes...warm, like the morning light...but this...a cruel crimson...a world of red...like blood...

"Unhand me!" He began to kick and struggle...on a closer look...was that tears in his eyes? Yet his beautiful features, his expression contorted in a ferocious face: "Aniki will die! The one otou-san wants to kill isn't him - it's me! Let go!" Present tense? Or perhaps...a memory from the past?

The struggling became increasingly violent - how could this child, this frail doll-like child, have such strength left in his ailing body? "It isn't fair...it isn't fair...it isn't fair...!" The tears never stopped falling.

Why wasn't it fair...?

A whisper of darkness.

A man with the same face as his.

Red...

Red eyes.

Those words...

The strong live...and the weak die...
