Its not just about learning from them, its about entertainment. If your just watching something to learn from it, go to the discovery channel.

Actually I have learned a few techniques from shows on discovery
They show a lot of cool martial arts shows

That reminds me of when the club I used to train at recieved an invite for a similar UK based show. When I finally saw it I was glad we didn't bother entering, most of the show was pointless "tasks" followed by crap fecked up sparring.. no head contact? I mean come on.. not to mention the stupid sensationalised semi mystical mumbo jumbo presenting. I cant see an MTV version being any better, infact I can see it being far far worse..

you knopw what? I'm going to BS my way into this and try and enter. Who knows? Maybe I can ridicule MTV if I get far enough. I don't have my black belt (yet, but I'm pretty comparable to my senior peers) though, so this is where the BS comes in. What kinds of titles and awards should I BS with? C'mon, guys, we're the crew, help me out here.

Oh, and don't forget he's now a 3rd dan in Yoga and that he was also taught by Jim Carrey, but that was purely for stand up comedy inwhich he uses to make his opponents piss themselves laughing.

Oh no. This is going to be like Tough Enough all over again (people trying out for a sport while being put into a crappy reality tv show). But I'll watch it just for the hell of it. There better be a Judo and Jiu-Jitsu artist there. Even Hapkido.

While Tae Kwon Do is my main Martial Art, I see too many Tae Kwon Do practitioners all of the time. I always want to see someone that has a unique style.
Maybe a Kobujutsu practitioner would be quite interesting.

It is a known fact that Taekwondo Is the most popular martial art in North America, but then again I heard that 3-5 years ago(I have a odd memory) anyways, that might have changed, but yeah, thats why there are so many Tkd'ers.

That is mostly what the schools around here teach, TKD. And everyone of them has either an Olympic alternate, trainer, instructor, or member running the school.
