Rod switched his tail as he ran, embarassed. He should have known that question was coming. Everyone else seemed to find it silly to run away from Santas evil flying sleigh perfectly weighted with toys to injure a pokemir ... but... Well, he might as well tell the truth. "I... Er... Every christmas eve, this sleigh comes down from the sky, see and it trys to hit me." his ears went back, the fur streaming. Great. He sounded so stupid.

Aiday ran next to him, listening to his explanation. It sounded far'fetched. She raised a brow. "So... This sleigh just comes down from the sky and tries to specifically hurt you? Are you sure you ain't imagining things?"

He knew it. Nobody believed him, but it was true! True! "Yeah." he says, defensively. He wasn't crazy! He wasn't.... right?

Aiday shrugged as she ran. "You know, even if that is true, that it isn't Christmas Eve... Right?" She was hoping that he didn't assume every night to be it, that would be insane.

He stopped running suddenly. "It isn't?" he sniffed. That was odd... it FELT like Christmas eve... Maybe it was that climate change stuff. "I could've sworn it was when I started running..." Wow, hey, maybe he was like that Rip-Van-Winkle character or something. That was a thought, what if he had run through minutes, hours, days, months, years... without even realising?! That would be pretty cool.

Aiday ran right past him before turning around and jogging back to him. "Yeah, it ended over a week ago or something." She blinked and sweatdropped. "Don't tell me that you've been running all this time since then. You must be freezing. I can hardly stand to stay outside a few hours, ain't no way I'd be cought out here for a week."

"No, not really..." He never got cold- his fur was too thick. he sat down in the quiet snow. "I guess I have been running for a while." he laughed. "Neat."

Aiday walked over and leaned against a tree as she sat down. "Well, that's a nice thing, to never get cold." She glanced around at the falling snowflakes before looking at him again. "Yeah."

So he could relax. He stretched out in the snow. He actually felt a bit too warm after that running, and the snow felt good on his paws. He did not like overheating, even if he was a fire type. he liked a balance, ya know? a nice even line between the two. Course, that line was a bit hotter for him, but eh. "So... How about you? Why were you outside in this weather?" he asks, with a smile.
((I'm sorry it took me so long. its inexcuseable. forgive me. Can we still say its winter?))

Aiday shrugged as she moved to a rock without any snow on it. "No real reason, just sorta felt like it, you know?" She glared at the snow. "Though I really do hate the cold."

he thought for a moment. His stomach grumbled. He wouldn't mind getting a bite to eat. "Do you want to go inside?" he wondered, enjoying how the snow melted around his fur and cooled him off. She was good company, being sarcastic and catty. If she went inside, he'd miss talking to her. But she lived with humans, he could smell that, and humans always kept their homes so warm... But they had food. "Hey, if you want to go home, can I come? you think i can get some food?"

Aiday cocked her head slightly at the growl from his stomach, and was quick to raise an eyebrow when he questioned her. "Yes, I do want to go home as a batter of fact. But why do you want to..." She twisted her mouth into a smirk at his words, "...oh! You just want my humans food, don't you?"

Rod smiled meekly. "You found me out. Yeah. I'm after food." He winked. "Food, company, and a nice spar." it was his turn to smirk. She looked like she could fight and, while normally mild mannered, he was also easily bored. A sparring match would be the perfect thing after a meal.

Aiday shrugged. "Sure..." she said as she turned her back to him and began to walk off. She looked back at him and paused. "...to all of it," she then began to walk again.

Rod's smile broadens. He padded along behind at about the same pace, little droplets of melted snow still clinging to his fur.
