"Superpower again!" Renekai called.
Chaos leaped along Cassie's flank, using his horn to strike her flank in a powerful blow. He wouldn't lose!

"CASSIE!" Choppi almost jumped the small barrier to get at her Stantler. The poor thing was knocked from her icy prison, the blow connecting with such force that it splintered the frozen water. With her legs.
As Picasso hit the grassy arena floor, she could do nothing but lay stunned. Her long reindeer legs were already brusing purple and navy blue hues, where they had been forcibly torn from the disabling attack. Limply laying there, she just breathed in and out, uttering sounds of pain from her mouth.
Hot tears stung at Choppi's eyes. "Cassie..."

Renekai stared open-mouthed at Choppi. The trainer looked very worried... Was she crying? "Chaos, go easy, oka--" But it was too late.
Chaos had to take advantage of his opponent! They were laying down, and was much easier to reach. Imagining Cassie to be his rival, Isamu, he leaped like a cougar at her exposed throat with power enough to crush rocks-- a Rock Smash.
((My, Chaos is savage. xD;; ))

"Stop him!" She cried, out to her Stantler pokemon battle partner biting her lip to where it almost bled. This was so, not good. Not at all.
Chaos may have been used to battles, but there was one thing that Picasso had that his rival didn't. Antlers. Cassie managed to whip her head up and catch his chest with her antlers, keeping the teeth from connecting. It did him no damage, but he still managed to scrape up her muzzle a bit.
Wedged there in her horns a bit, Chaos managed to whip her head about, doing more damage to her. Perhaps if just...keeping him in range...
"S-solar beam!" Choppi called. "We can do this!"
The absol was within dangerous range for the attack that came blasting towards him.

Chaos wrenched himself free of the antlers, growling fiercely. But before he could get away, he was his with the solar beam. "Sol!" he barked, baring his teeth.
"Rock Smash!" Renekai said, hoping that Chaos would calm down after some long-range attacks.
Chaos carved another chunk out of the ground and hurled it at Cassie, still growling.
((Edit: So now, all totaled, you have 100 HP))

(( Agh! Math was never EVER my strong suit. XD ))
The rock sailed into her then, smacking against the side of her head as it shattered easily. Cassie's vision blurred, as she tried to rise to her feet. Crying out in pain, she halted and just layed there, the brusing on her legs getting worse with weakened blood flow.
Choppi felt tears on her cheeks now, but she never looked away. "Cassie, stay put! You can do this!"
The stantler heard her trainers words and her ears twiched. Yes. Choppi always believed her, and never gave up.
"Solar Beam!"
Using all of the strength she had left, she aimed at the absol. This would be her last attack, and she knew it. This was meant for Chaos.

Chaos had already dug up a new chunk of turf while Choppi was talking. He dodged the worst of the attack, then flung the rocky mass at Cassie in one final Rock Smash.
Renekai watched solemnly. Cassie couldn't continue for long...

Choppi had watched the attack in motion, coming from the opposing absol. Cassie had already been panicking from the impending blow that would damage her with more than the usual effectiveness, but there were footsteps behind her that the stantler found calming. Cassie relaxed at let the attack hit. Choppi was coming for her.
The attack landed on Picasso in an explosion of rock, but she wasn't the only victim. Choppi's arms and legs also got sliced open as she tried to cover her own face, falling just feet short from her pokemon.
She'd been too late to stop the attack, but at least because her Stantler was unfit for battle, it was at least over and they wouldn't be disqualified. At least now she was at Cassie's side.
Kneeling down, she pet the side of Cassie's head in a soothing manner. Keeping calm for Cassie's sake. She was hurt bad. "You did so well." She whispered to the fading out of consciousness pokemon. As soon as Cassie was fainted, she let herself cry a bit.
Cassie would be okay. She knew. But still. She was supposed to have saved Picasso from pain. Cassie might forgive her, but could she forgive herself?

Renekai didn't quite understand what was going on-- probably the trainer hadn't fought before, or only a few times. "Come on, Chaos," she mumbled, returning the absol to his pokeball.
Though she had won the battle, it still didn't feel like a victory, to see Choppi so affected. Renekai exited the stadium.

Gathering Cassie into her pokeball, she gave it a small kiss to the top. "Thankyou Cassie. Let's get you patched up." Wiping away the tears, she left the stadium as well.
