The Charge Beam sailed straight towards the retreating pidgeotto. Yellow sparks of electricity sparked along his tail feathers.
"Keep it up Frey! U-turn!"
The pidgeotto didn't stop his flight once he reached his side of the field, and instead circled back around to fly at his opponent once more.

"Charge Beam!" Renekai shouted. She was getting a little worried now.
Chaos reared up and fired another electrical beam at Frey. Those critical hits were not good; he had to keep up his guard!

"Nice job Frey!" Sienna encouraged the pidgeotto, even though eh had been hit with the Charge Beam once more. "U-turn again!"
Frey continued his loops around the field through the electrified air towards Chaos in another U-turn attack.

Chaos, not wanting to get hit once again, dodged the attack. Electricity crackled around him as he moved, but he merely absorbed it into a ball over his horn. He was going in for another Charge Beam.
Renekai noticed that he was already charging the Charge Beam, but she still said half-heartedly, "Use Charge Beam, Chaos."
The absol reared up and the electricity flew to the bird, crackling all the while.

The ball of electricity soared towards Frey once more and struck him.
This battle of Charge Beams and U-Turns, was indeed getting dull, but they couldn't afford to stop using their only super effective move. Frey too was picking up on this pattern and was already circling around for another U-turn. Sienna then said "U-turn!" and confirmed the attack.

They were getting there! With just a few more attacks and a bit of luck... "Charge Beam!"
Chaos braced himself against the U-Turn attack, his claws digging deeply into the sparking ground. With a fierce snarl, he sent another ball of electricity flying towards Frey. He would not lose. The bird would fall!

Frey winched this time as he was struck by the Charge Beam. He could feel his energy slowly draining away.
"Hang in there Frey, we're almost done! U-Turn!"
Frey flew around the stadium, picking up speed as he went, aiming to strike Chaos. Even if the absol was stronger, the pidgeotto wasn't going down without a fight.

Chaos growled, feeling oddly light-headed. He reared up with a crackling horn and fired one last Charge Beam. This battle had been close. Too close. Chaos needed a lot more training!
Renekai watched nervously. If the beam missed...

The pidgeotto flew haphazardly back to his side of the field, before being struck one last time with a Charge Beam. Frey fainted in mid-air, but luckily for him Sienna held up his pokeball and returned him before he had a chance to hit the cackling electricity-conducting floor.
"Great job! One more lucky hit and we would have had them." Sienna praised Frey, regardless of whether or not her pokemon could hear her. " Thanks for the battle!" the trainer waved to Renekai, and then headed for the exit of the stadium.

"You too!" Renekai called happily back to Sienna. Another win in the bag! She got out Chaos's pokeball, then looked for the pokemon to give him praise and a rest.
The absol, on the other hand, had other ideas. He had limped out of the stadium on his own and was all ready walking past his trainer. He ignored the offer to go in the pokeball, for he did not want to seem weak, and so the tired, yet victorious absol with his slightly confused trainer made their way to the pokecenter.
