hmmmmmmmm........................I would have to say that due to science as well as adding fiction, probably that of a bats since they are the only mammel that actually can fly. Becides, they look cool! mrgreen

There are a few problems with having wings on this planet. For one the only way to hide your wings would be to make them small. This would not provide correct thrust to get you up vary high. If the wings where removable then there would be a chance of them ripping off. The winds in the sky are no laughing matter after all.

Yep, if you have not read Maximum Ride, it pretty much goes with Bird kids with Bird wings. They have 2% bird DNA in them, I recommend the series.

hm. well, as tempting as the association of elemental goodness is with angel wings, i would probably want fairy wings. i don't like birds, so i don't care much for feathers. fairy wings would just look magical. i like that.
although, to be honest, i would prefer to be able to fly without any physical structure to aid me. scientifically you would need immense wings and ridiculous strength and muscle control to fly with real wings, so much so that you would probably need the aid of magic to actually fly with them. and if you're going to use magic to fly, why not do it directly? that would be wonderful.
