"Oh don't worry, no problem at all..." Sunnie shouted over to Luna. No problem at all, she thought unhappily, except that I'm frozen to a bird and my best friend is a Popsicle. Nope, no problem at all.
Sitting idly with a frown on her face, she turned to her back and knocked on Kris's cold outer shell. "Hellooo? Hellooooo? You in there, Kris? Time to get up now, please... I'm really boooored..."

Luna gave a slightly apologetic chuckle at Bo's reply. "M'kay then...well, no regrets now, right? We have to do our best 'Bireo~"
"DewDew~!!"
"Buuuuut, you maaaay just wanna hurry Albireo, I think I can see a Murkrow eyeing your prize."
Of course, there was no murkrow, but Albireo never realized. The dewgong was in full focus mode with eyes narrowed and tongue sticking out in concentration. THE BERRY. He wanted to taste it's sweet soft chewy perfection in his mouth, he didn't want to lose it to another pokemon who he didn't know!

Speaking of legs, Sunnie was beginning to regain feeling in hers again. The ice was melting - huzzah! She saw Paix's head beginning to wiggle around, letting out soft caws every now and then. Turning around, she saw that the ice was slowly dripping off of Kris. As soon as it was gone and she was moving and breathing again, then things could start getting better.

Luna glanced back at the other team that was still half frozen. But the signs of immediate defrosting was very apparent. They would have to move fast. 'Well actually, not fast, just cautiously. We're a good distance ahead. We just need to keep it.'
"Hey Albireo, safeguard!"
Albireo bobbed his head cheerfully, bounding another leap before his eyes began glowing and a thin transparent veil formed around Luna and himself. Now almost all obstacles to their victory were swept under the rug. But could they pull off the last leg?

Kris shook herself out as she felt herself thaw out. She let out a little shiver and patted Paix on the back. "I'm good now, what about you, buddy?" Paix let out a caw in response, and Kris turned towards Sunnie, laughing at the bored expression on the other trainer's face. "Sorry to make you wait!"
She turned towards the track, barely able to see their opponents in the distance. "Okay, Paix, use Ancient Power again!"
Paix let out a crow and did as he was told, rising into the air and summoning that power once again, grasping onto one of the now floating rocks with his talons as he shot forward.

Albireo could smell the sweet aroma of the Pecha berry just around 12 yards away. He whined, putting more force into his jumps to get closer to it.
"DEW!"
Albireo was now in his own world, it was only himself and that sweet prestine berry awaiting to get eaten in his mouth. Then he would savor the flavor as the sweet taste traveled down his throat. Mmmm...
And during all this, Luna was having a miserable time hanging on while Albireo made large jerky leaps.
"Oww, my butt is going to be so sore after this race..."

And indeed, Sunnie could see it - but she also could see a trainer and her wild dewgong dashing right over it.
"Well then... bogus." As Paix caught up to Luna, she hopped off the bird to greet her. "Hey buddy, good race out there, haha! Congratulations - you deserved it! Though uhh... try not to freeze my friends next time?"

Luna carefully dismounted while Albireo was busy devouring the larger-than-average pecha berry. Immediately, pain jolted up her tail bone and back. She really should have gone with Prince.
The trainer turned around to Sunnie, offering a handshake. "Ahaha, guess it's revenge for freezing Nine?"
