After Soar took the underpants to the face, all four of them took a tumble to the snow below; but, thankfully, the psychic pokemon had managed to catch them before they got face and mouthfuls of the cold stuff.
Clinging tighter, Jen watched the attacks fly back and forth, yelping a bit when the Arcanines' fire attack almost hit her. Shaking a fist at the other team, she grumbled and sulked a bit. "What am I now? A Human target?!"
Abiba poked her head out from under the hood and blinked as they speeded up. The dog-pokemon was ahead! "Pikachu pika pika!" She shouted words of encouragement to Soaringedge before a hand-sized piece of snow caused her to squeak and withdraw.
"They want fire, let's play with ice! Soar! Smack 'em with an Ice beam attack!"

Ya! It miss and now it was a time to det a big led on them.
Leanna was happy now that Alex won't have to suffer any pain.
"Ok Alex let get going with a flamethrower, to show them who the boss."She said getting in a little more into this race.

After yet another blast of fire which left Lamen a little singed herself [wonderful being in front, innit?], she was beginning to get a little miffed herself.
"Soar! Forget the whole sportmanship thing- just fly to the finish instead of running."

That was a no.
This is MY fight now. The angered Deoxys blasted another ice beam at the arcanine- this time, he wouldn't miss.

Alex felt a section of his legs go numb, and he was slowed a bit.
"Alex, it's okay! Try to keep going and use extremespeed!"
Alex looked back, and saw the shadow of his target looming behind him. Gathering a lot of his strength, he dashed backwards, thrust himself against Soar, then raced back ahead. He hoped the attack wouldn't lose too much ground for him.

NO! NOT THAT!
Jen gritted her teeth when the sudden ramming attack jarred the three of them; thankfully, it had not knocked Soaringedge off course.
The psychic pokemon let out an angry noise and fired yet another Ice Beam at it's opponents as they raced past. The Arcanine was starting to get on it's nerves.

"Urgh" Day said when she saw that Alex was noticeable weak. "Use ember, to try and lessen the damage a bit!"
Alex, with numb feet, shot fiery bursts at the beam, to melt it and hopefully prevent a critical hit. Once the ice beam had done its damage, he continued to attack, trying to get a good hit through the thick snowstorm. The odds were against them, but he wanted to keep fighting. Forfeiture would be a sign of weakness, which Alex was not willing to show.

"YEAH! GO SOAR! Let's win this! ANOTHER ICE BEAM!"
As Soar fired off another round of freezing cold, Jen was excited beyond belief; rarely did pokemon go after one another like this on the track, they mostly stuck to trying to outrun one another.
She was also quick to pay attention, less she wind up with some nice burns. "Watch were you aim them attacks!" She shook a fist at the opposing team. "Them things hurt, ya know!"

The last ice beam hit the opponent rather hard, causing Lamen to wince in sympathy. But still, it meant they could win this thing...
She attempted to distinguish what next attack they were preparing, but whatever they did, it seemed to have been blurred out by the blizzard.
Soaringedge was pretty much on a roll now. With another blaring honk, he finally ran past the arcanine, his speed only seeming to get faster and faster as the race progressed- and he threw another ice beam at Alex, as it seemed to have been working.

Day patted Alex. "Even if they win, they won't win by very much."
He grunted and kept trotting along.
"Use hyper beam with your last energy!" Day said.
Alex knew that this was his last move, so he pulled together all of his energy, and, with much effort, managed a big beam of energy.

Soar grunted and staggered slightly under the blow of energy but retaliated with one final blast of Ice Beam; no doubt the Arcanine would not be able to stand much longer.
Jen bounced up and down happily as the blast was fired. They were gunna win! They really were living up to their teams' name!
