((No, I just had bath maths. Thought that Evelyn had 425 HP. o3o;; ))
"Rollout of the way!"
Evelyn curled up into a ball and rolled to safety, throwing shards of rock at Frey at the same time. Battles were not as fun as cuddles and food!

The teddiursa landed another solid hit on Frey, who was unable to dodge in time being so close to the teddiursa and the rock walls of the canyon.
"Aerial Ace!"
Frey flew high again, and dived down at the Evelyn, talons ready to attack we he came close enough.

On the good side, Frey missed. On the down side, Evelyn's attempt at dodging made her fall into the canyon. "SAAAAAAAAA!!!" she shouted as she disappeared over the edge.
"Grab a tree or something!" Renekai said into the microphone. This was not the best first battle for Evelyn at all!
Distracted by the camera that had followed her down, Evelyn managed to stop screaming. When a tree came into view, she managed to cling to it. The tree bent, swayed, then stopped. Just as Evelyn was giving a sigh of relief, the tree snapped. Evelyn fell about another foot or two before her rump hit rock shelf. When she looked up, it appeared that she had fallen about ten feet and suffered no damage from it.
"Try a Thunderpunch from where you are," Renekai said into the microphone.
Evelyn made a fist again. When it was glowing white and yellow with electricity, she made an upward gesture as if punching a flying foe. To her relief, the electricity continued on its way up and at Frey, even though Evelyn herself could no longer reach.

Frey winched as the electricity shocked him, sending a few burnt feathers tumbling into the water at the bottom of the canyon.
"Let's try a Mirror Move again!"
The pidgeotto twisted around in the air so he was facing his opponent, and charged up a Thunderpunch using the Mirror Move. Like Evelyn's Thunderpunch, it sent a bolt from his talon-fist at the teddiursa instead of him flying all the way back towards her.

Evelyn froze. That wasn't fun!
"Refresh!" Renekai commanded. She had been careless to allow Evelyn to be paralyzed, but it was still all right.
Evelyn concentrated for a moment, then got up happily. She could move! As if to prove it, she pranced around and wagged her fluffy tail.

'A short paralysis, but better than nothing I guess.' Sienna thought as she watched the screen in front of her. It practically read her mind and switched it's view back to Frey. "Air Cutter!" . Even though Frey was quite a ways away from Evelyn, hopefully Frey could whip up a strong enough Air Cutter to reach the teddiursa.
Frey beat his wings as hard as he could and sent a large gust of sharp air flying towards Evelyn.

It was strong enough, all right. Evelyn growled and whined at the force of the attack.
"Thunder Punch!" Renekai repeated. She couldn't expect the Rollout attack to reach an opponent so far up.
Evelyn, fist crackling once more, jerked in an upward motion. The ball of electricity soared straight at Frey.

Sparks of leftover electricity danced on Frey's feathers after the Thunderpunch hit. His energy was getting pretty low, but he continued to hover in the air.
'Another hit like that and we're done for.' Sienna observed. "Aerial Ace!"
Frey torpedoed through the air in a dive towards Evelyn. He banked in the air when he got close enough and his talons shot out towards the teddiursa.

Not again! The mean chicken got another critical hit on Evelyn.
"Rollout before he gets away!"
Evelyn sent rocks flying at Frey before he got too far away. It looked like it was down to this! If the rocks hit their target, the battle would be over. If not... Evelyn might be getting that sleep that she was longing for sooner than expected.

The rocks did indeed hit their target, quite hard too, which knock Frey clean out of the air and sent him plummeting towards the water at the bottom of the canyon. '....couldn't even beat a newbie fur ball.'
Even with the rocks in the way, Sienna managed to return Frey before he had an unexpected bath at the bottom of the canyon. "Good job Frey. You need to stop being such a sore loser, though." She spoke to the pokeball.
"Thanks for the battle!" Sienna's yelled echoed across the canyon.

"Good job, Ev!" Renekai said happily. Seeing as Evelyn couldn't climb back to the top of the canyon with so little strength left, Renekai returned her to her pokeball. "You've earned yourself a basketful of berries and a jarful of honey!" she told it, grinning. "Let's go raid Bell's bag while she isn't looking."
Renekai waved back across the stadium. "Let's do this again some time!"
