Joanne Lakes

"Oh, I'm sure it will be," she said, relatively sarcastically. As she said this, some of her scarf folded into her mouth, somewhat gagging her so that everything she said was a mumble, unbeknownst to her. "Thank you, have a nice evening," she said in the gagged mumble as she moved on to the next guest at the red carpet - Oz Parker. "Oz Parker, how are you? Please, tell me all of the juicy gossip that we should expect on your show this season, I'm dying to know," she said, hardly able to speak audibly. She at last noticed that the scarf was preventing her from speaking right, so pulled it out of her mouth, which resulted in the scarf loosening a bit around her face. Hopefully not too much.

Andrew watched carefully as the woman in the red scarf went from guest to guest like a parasite, feeding off of a few words before moving onto her next victim. He shuddered as he saw her scarf slip a little, but disguised it as a violent sneeze.

He felt a tad out of place, standing there like an idiot on the red carpet. Everyone else he saw was dressed up, sparkles and trains and ties abounding. Well, at least he had had the decency to wear a clean sweater. It wasn't like he was trying to impress anyone.

Wait. Was he?

Was the woman in the scarf super important to his career? Were the men and women around him, coated in makeup and designer clothes, going to lift his career higher than it already was? Ugh. Trying to make it was so... tough.

Brodi nodded to Joanne, giving her his attention for a split second. He was too engrossed with the decorations. This was definitely going to be a night to remember. He had a wonderful date, it was a beautiful night, and everything looked fabulous.

After Joanne was finished talking to him, he looked down to Riley and smiled, "Shall we?" He held a hand out in front of them and bowed his head lightly.

Renee's nerves were wound tight as springs as the borrowed company limo and chauffer (she couldn't even remember his name) pulled up to the Red Carpet. In her mind, it was exactly like that: capitalized to emphasize the importance of what was about to happen. She'd only been recently accepted, for heaven's sake, but it was enough to allow her to pass through society's first set of gilded, if not imaginary, gates.

The tinted windows saved her eyesight for a few merciful seconds before she opened the door and stepped out onto the carpet, barraged by what seemed a million camera flashes. She offered what she hoped was an open, perky smile to the blinding sea of light, highly conscious of the fact she'd chosen one of her own creations to wear. Well, nothing like a little self-publicity, right?

Flashing a grateful smile to the driver, Renee found that she was far from the center of attention, several young men ahead of her being addressed by what looked like a living crimson sheet. She could see a little skin, some blonde hair, but ultimately? Red. Lots and lots of eye-stopping red. When she realized that it wasn't a joke, and that she really only could see one eye, recognition clicked. Joanne Lakes.

Maybe if she got lucky, she could just dazzle most of the paparazzi and avoid what was sure to be a disastrous encounter.

Riley sighed, relieved that was over with. The woman had seemed considerably less interested this time than the first time around (and she seemed more interested in Riley's date than Riley's career). Which was just fine by her, the less she had to go through, the less she could embaress herself with, the better.

She glaced behind her, hearing Oz's name. As she had kept bumping into him, it seemed polite to wave to Oz. Maybe she'd have a chance to talk to him some more inside too. Riley also spotted her friend from the bar. What was his name? Andrew, that's right.

Riley smiled and mouthed 'Good Luck' to Andrew, hoping it didn't look like she was making some weird kissy face at hiim.

"That sounds fantastic," she said, turning back and gliding into the Theater with Brodi.

Evan was neither unobservant or unintelligent enough to miss her sarcastic response, and rolled his eyes to show his lack of approval. He wasn't entirely sure he even wanted to be praised by a woman whose idea of a fine ensemble included a scarf wound around her head. Regardless, he felt uncomfortable - he was used to being the big fish in the little pond, where everyone doted upon him for his talent, but now he would obviously need to prove himself.

He opened his mouth to speak again, but his eyes widened when he realized the scarf was beginning to loosen. If it fell off and he had to see what was hiding beneath, he wasn't sure he could stomach the rest of the evening. With an obviously hastened pace, he hurried inside, not daring to look behind him.

Oh, how late she was! Khahlela Umfula had finally arrived in a black, sleek sports car. As she emerged, she noticed a lot of people were outside still. Flushing at the fact she was this late, she fixed her dress and necklace, the ever present gold bands around her neck and glided down the red carpet.

She saw Oz Parker up ahead of her, and she couldn't help but try to get closer to her. Lela, after all, was crushing hard on the soap star. But, just as she was about to say something, Joanne Lakes moved up beside him and frowned a little.

But now was her chance to reach for his hand. Would she?

Oz had been too busy smiling at everyone else he almost missed the gesture that asked for his attention.
He smiled a tJoanne, before making his way over.

As he got to her, he pulled his hands out of his stuffed pockets ( an almost Johnny Depp look to the gesture he might add.)
Holding the left hand out to Joanne, he waited to shake her hand with anticipation.
After all, last meal had been a bit harsh, but look how far he had risen from there.

"Joanne, Its a pleasure to see you again."
Aha! Thats right, recognition. Let her see that he remembered her name.

"Gossip eh? Well my character meets a new couple in town. He likes the wife, lets leave it at that." He said with a wink.

Lorenz Milton
Lorenz took a moment outside from the busy party scene inside. Nothing much was happening indoors this early on since most people were still arriving at the red carpet. So if the red carpet is the happening scene of the moment - then that's where Lorenz Milton will be. He flipped his long white cape over his shoulder and sneered at Joanne Lakes. What the hell was she doing with a scarf around her face? She looked like a hot mess. He peered around at the stars arriving. He saw one man in a suit step out of a mustang, a woman with colorful hair in a sparkly dress arrive, a woman in a nice simple green dress come out of a limo, and a woman with short hair coming out of a black sports car. She looked familiar, had he seen her before? After a few seconds of flashing images through his mind he was able to identify her as Khahlela Umfula. This should be a fun night. He smiled at all four of them as an invitation to approach him. He always love meeting new up and coming stars. If he likes them enough, he may even promote them on his blog!

Joanne Lakes

"Ooh juicy!" Joanne said, squirming a little in excitement. That show always made her feel hot and young again. Until the screen would fade to black and she would be able to see her reflection in the screen, then she felt the way she looks - like s**t. "Can we expect any steamy love scenes then? Any chance of a shirtless scene?" She flirted a little bit and winked at him with the eye that wasn't even visible. Realizing that it wasn't visible, she tried winking with the other eye, but couldn't quite do it so ended up looking like she was having some sort of neurological twitch with her eye.

Isabella turned to look around again as she waited for her turn to be entered in. While doing so she spotted a strange man, he looked amazingly posh with his white cape and she felt a little intimidated but yet she knew no one here, might as well talk to someone?

She walked over as carefully as she could. She really wasn't use to wearing heels and she really didn't like it in the slightest so she looked a little awkward walking.

"Hello" Her voice she kept soft and calm. She was a little shy, which was strange for her but she wasn't overly keen on big social events.

"I haven't seen you before, I am Isabella or Isi." She let a smile cross her face. She was trying!

Andrew noted that Oz was speaking to the mummy-woman, and snorted a little. She looked ridiculous, especially when it looked as though her eye was making a frantic bid for freedom.

Turning on his heel, Andrew turned and saw an odd man with pink hair, standing off to one side and smiling expectantly. Well, he seemed a tad more interesting... and human-like... than the woman. Plus, he needed some sort of coverage tonight.

Grinning, he strode confidently up to the man, glancing toward the people around him and flipping his hair out of his eyes. As he got closer, he recognized this man to be none other than Lorenz Milton; the gossip blogger that he had been warned about multiple times. Oh, this was sure to be fun.

He nodded his head in a nonchalant greeting, shoving his left hand in his back pocket as he stopped near him.

"Hey," he said in a friendly tone.

He grinned a bit when she asked about the topless scene.
Almost half of his scenes were topless, but most of the women lately always sseemed to ask that very same question. It was okay though..To be honest he liked the attention.

"I can promise a few." He said with another mischevious grin, before looking at her in a surprised look.

"Joanne, Are you okay? Can you breathe under that?"
He asked, careful not to touch her as he had noticed Lorenz's article, and hed be damned before he ended up doing something seen as provocative..well..around Joanne anyway.

Lorenz Milton
"Hello there Isi," Lorenz said with a very flamboyant cheerful voice and smile. He was a little offended that she didn't know who he was - but he was a blogger, known more for his writing voice than his face. Though he was known for his trademark hot pink hair, it could have been a tip off. She seemed to have an english accent, so maybe she wasn't familiar with him because of that, too.
"I'm Lorenz Milton of LorenzMilton.com, celebrity gossip blog site," he said, formally introducing himself. "Are you with Walk of Fame? What is your talent?" As he asked, a latino-looking boy approached him and Isi. The boy seemed to recognize him with the way he walked up to him. "Hello," Lorenz said with a smile. "Who are you?"

Joanne Lakes
"I can breathe fine," she insisted with a nervous laugh. She must look like a total freak with the scarf around her face. What was she thinking wearing this? Her face started to grow hot as she blushed in embarrassment - luckily none of this could be seen under the scarf. "Well I'm excited to see those scenes, Oz. Have a lovely evening." She laughed a bit and hurried from him before she embarrassed herself any further and allowed Oz to head inside to the festivities.

Isi relaxed a little as he spoke and smiled, she had heard of him by word of mouth though she hadn't read any of his stuff. She really wasn't one to read gossip stories as she would much rather find out the truth for herself. She also never wished to read something about herself, she didn't want any self confidence issues.

"Oh sorry, I haven't seen you before but yes I have heard of your blog!" She smiled and then nodded at his next question.

"Yes I am indeed. I sing, I do love it. Singing is something I enjoy and now I have a chance at doing it all my life!" She smiled, obviously excited by this prospect.

She then moved to one side slightly as someone else came over who she thought she had seen about but then again she could have imagined it!
