Yeah. I have really bad allergies and my boyfriend has asthma. It makes me feel really sick to be around smokers cause it really agrivates my allergies. Unfortunately my boyfriend came over to my house last night after being at the grin (where EVERYONE smokes D: ) and I couldn't stop coughing when he came over 'cause I could smell it on him and it was too cold for me to go outside. (I'm too damn delicate) gonk That and I have a friend who has lung cancer because of smoking...and he's only 17. :/ Then I have another friend who has liver problems from drinking when he was younger and he's only 16. You can't be a very good lolita if you're close to death. O_o

I happen to be a smoker (though my parents found out and I had to quit), but I don't dress Sweet Loli most of the time. I've seen Sweet Lolis smoking in photos and I just think "o.o what?"
I think the holders are cute, too. =3

For the people who do smoke, I just hope you're not smoking illegaling, because that could do serious damage to your lungs. If you're the age to smoke, then I would suggest only smoke when you're not wearing your EGL or EGA even, because it can ruin the clothes with the smell. And what happens if you accidently burn a hole in then with your ciggarette?
I don't smoke, never will. The thought of it irks me, and my lungs are already bad enough what with second hand smoke everywhere and lackof exersize.

Given that GothicLolita is a Japanese subculture and that A LOT of Japanese people smoke, and I mean A LOT, it's really not an issue unless you make it one.
A LOT!

Smoking is bad for you, and smells icky. That said, when you're in lolita gear, you could go on a nicotene patch. heart

I dont like smoking in general so I'd say no to it. Yet in the same I dont think just because you have that bad habbit means you cant or aren't lolita. It's just another bad habbit (though it wouldn't look right with sweet lolita). For holders just a black and white one would look okay especially if you're dressing EGL. Like Chuu said a lot of Japanese smoke. A whole lot. More then many foriengers can believe, so no in that state it's definately not a problem.

Smoking is terrible for a lolita, because it ages the skin and causes wrinkles (as well as aging you in a hundred other ways). Also, I don't think it looks elegant, no matter how you do it, and the smell clings to fabric... a loli who smells like a smokeshop would not be good.

i smoke cloves- the black ones- which make pulling off the Lolita look with a cigarette quite easy. If i smoked regular cigs it would probably look a little odd.

I've quit smoking! ^^ yay, it's harsh on my throat though...but it's helped my singing so much and now I look a lot healthier...but it's still a bummer cause all my friends smoke ): so temptation is always there. But also the good thing is that my boyfriend quit with me ^^
