The only song he knew by heart was "Pass The Cherry." And that was definitely not something one sung in front of little girls, he added, his mind rushing. There were definitely some risque' lines.
But he had heard one on Tock's radio!
"Well," he said. "This is called the--the--Haunnakah song," he said, wondering if he could remember it well enough to sound as if he knew what he was doing.
"Put on your yamakah! Here comes hann-ee-kkkaaa!" he started out. "The owner of the somethin' somethin' sonica celebrates hann-ee-kah!"

Nataya blinked, and was about to ask what "Haunnakah" was, but Nack had already started singing. She listened, becoming a more and more confused as he continued singing. But, she didn't want to hurt his feelings or anything, so she just smiled, listening to him sing. As far as she knew, he was singing the song perfectly.

He finished after a few more words, then bowed grandly, as if he had done a great job. He was so full of crap, he thought. "And Merry Christmas," he added before taking to the air and flying away.
Not once did he look at Polly. It would save his life later.

"Merry Christmas to you, too!" Nataya said, giggling once and waving farewell. That had been...interesting, to say the least. It wasn't bad, though, just a bit different.
She felt a bit envious as he flew away, wondering why everyone with wings that she talked to seemed to be able to fly but her. It just wasn't fair.

Polly was about to say something but the teacher walked in before she could, so she turned and faced the front. At least he hadn't made a total mess of it, she thought with a hint of satisfaction.
