"It's not the time of year for the heavy rains." At least not yet, though they weren't going to be far in coming. He shook his mane out and licked his lips clean before he followed her out of the cavern.
"The land will benifit though. More prey." and that meant more things for him to work himself back up to his usual glory with.

"The spirits have been kind. We haven't had any trouble finding prey since you returned." She paused to look at him to make sure that he was following after her before stepping out into the light herself, reassured to have him by her side once more.

"They have been. Fortune must be looking down upon us." He smirked as he stepped into the light and headed around the cavern's edge. "The hunting is good here. Plenty for the prey to eat while we pick them off"

She nodded slowly, keeping close to him as they walked, still not completely trusting those who had lingered with them even if they had all sworn their own allegiances. "Have you ever pondered asking your Fortune for a sign to let you know that what you seek lies along the path you've chosen, Nukta?"

"She doesn't give you signs when you ask for them. Only when you have worked all you can and you need them" He knew this path was the one he was suppose to be on. Rasi should not have been King. He only was because he'd been born first. He was smarter than his brother, he had the better brain for ruling

"I will ... they must be hurting and the would not ignore blood as strong as yours. They will not be able to do anything but let you come with me" He knew that his brother would take pitty on him and that Rasi would not part him from his mate after his own troubles.

"And you will fit in. They wont be able to turn us away." He knew Rasi wouldn't suspect anything and he'd be happy to see him back. Even if it would be his downfall.
"I will get my throne back. They don't deserve it." He shook his head before he turned back toward the cave they were calling home. "We should return before it gets dark."

She nodded slowly to acknowledge all accounts, padding after him. "You will have everything that is rightfully yours again... We'll make them pay for your pain." She meant that now more than ever, having nursed him back from the state he'd been left in. "I promise you that."
