“Oh Dah.”
Koy mewed and moved over to her son quickly; she didn’t think about it or worry any, all she wanted to do was be close to him, nuzzle him even. Her heart felt like a huge hole had been filled.
“I’m so happy. Me and Chardon both.”
She turned to gaze back at her mate, unaware of the anger in Dah’s emotions toward the new male in her life.
“I could come and see you more now…and maybe when Chardon and I start a family…”
She paused, maybe… that wasn’t the right thing to say right now. <********.

Mmm, yeah. Perhaps that wasn't the best thing to say after just making amends with your estranged son. Chardon loved Koy, of course. But he doubted Dahabu would be so keen to visit his mother, new mate, and step-sibings.
Nah, probably not going to happen peacefully.
He took a half-step forward, just in case something happened, but remained where he was. When she glanced back to gaze at him, he gave a tender smile. But he didnt say anything. If he did, he would probably be attacked again.
Although if the young male needed a fight to teach him a lesson, or to let out his anger, Chardon would gladly step forward.

Dah was finally beginning to smile, becoming at ease with the idea of letting his mother slowly visit him every now and then, and he could always come and visit her. He wasn't okay with this new male in his mother's life at all, but he wouldn't mention it right now because it would obviously just be something new to argue about. He also wondered why Koy was speaking for the other male... he shot him a glance and rolled his eyes, why would that guy be happy...
"Yes visits could hap..." But his words cut off when she added the part of her and Chardon starting a family. His facial features took no time at all to work into a scowl and he took a step back, tail jerking to the side in an annoyed manner. "I don't think we've been introduced formally yet." Each word had anger written all over it, filling it up. It was his way of trying to get her to drop that subject immediately, he didn't even know the damn male's name. Well... she had just set it, but they still hadn't met. He turned away from his mother almost as if he was done with her and took a step toward her companion, his gaze filled with pure hate. How long had they known each other. He dipped his head slightly to the other, though he was surprised he could keep from shaking in anger and hurt. "I'm Dahabu'Chunuka." He stated, trying to make it clear he really didn't want this p***k that was planning to knock up his mother so soon to call him any sort of nickname.
He glanced back to his mother and scowled slightly. "So mum... when did you two first meet?" He said slowly, trying to make himself sound interested. He was just trying to figure out how long she'd actually been planning to replaces him with a new freaking life. Why had she bothered seeking him out anyhow?

Koy’s eyes narrowed as he moved away from her and stood right in front of Chardon. She did feel uneasy and could see her words had cut him deep. She sighed and glanced back at the two and spoke out slowly.
“It’s not been that long at all, but he is very good to me. He gave me the courage to come and say all of this to you now. I feared doing it, but he made me feel like I was strong enough to face you now. To tell you all of this.”

Chardon's eyes, in turn, were filled with calmness. Anything else seen was emotionless. This youngling was not going to best him, or intimidate him. Two could play this game.
He bowed his head as well, in greeting.
"Chardon," he replied. "It's nice to meet you. I've only heard good things about you, from what your mother tells me," he continued with a smile. Then Koy used him as the reason why she came to find Dahabu in the first place. He listened, his eyes still on Dahabu to see his reaction.
However, he didn't see any reason to wait for a reaction. From what he had already seen, Dahabu was a spoiled child who would throw a tantrum if he didn't get what he wanted. If Koy wanted to give him another chance, fine. But otherwise, Chardon was done here.
"Love, I'm sorry to do this, but I really think we should leave. We can come back another day and solve other problems. But it's a good thing that you and Dahabu," at his he glanced at his estranged step-son, "and were able to talk for a while. But if we leave now, then we can always come back later."
He was not being cruel to either of them. He could see the tension building and building, and sooner or later, something awful was going to happen. Chardon was simply ending it before that could happen.
So with those words, he gave a charming good-bye smile to Dahabu and herded his mate home, away from the troubles, and towards something happier.

He took a step back and his eyes flew toward his mother as her new little life suggested leaving. He sighed and shook his head slightly, after a moment he was able to compose his features. If she wanted to live doing whatever this male said, fine. She wanted a new replacement family, fine. He could care less. "Whatever. Mom, I'm going. Vi wanted us to meet up with her tonight... that is, me and her boys." He turned and growled slightly, starting to stalk away.
He was feeling... incredibly confused. Everything had been going so smoothly, until she mentioned that she was gaining more family. Dah felt partly like he wasn't good enough for his mother, who'd never taken care of him in the first place. A little bit like what she was doing was right, having a male in your life was the proper thing from what he saw around the pridelands. He had always found it a little odd that both Vi and his mother were mateless... though Vi hung around this red male more than enough for him to qualify. He shut his eyes and let out a deep sigh, deciding he shouldn't think too strongly about the matter, he was so sick of his heart aching all of the time.
He needed to go find Ki, take one of his walks with her.
