He didn't know what she had in Mexico, but things were probably different here. It would probably be like him moving to Mexico. He would be utterly lost.
"Yep!" he grinned with a flick of his tail. "You can be as family as you want! That's just how it works here!" Not that he was an expert at family life, but he knew a few things.

"Muy buena!"(very good) Pyre exclaimed, a smile alighting her face. Familia was very improtant where she came from, and to chose a fmily of her own would be excelente(excellent). But she couldn't rushi nto things, could she? No, that would probably make it akward.
"Uh, Senoir Van? Uno mas pregunta.(One more question.) How does one, er, make someone a member of la familia?"

He liked this mare, her quirks and all. A smile rested on his lips as he watched her decide something. And, by the way she spoke next, he assumed she'd be putting that 'something' on the table in front of him.
"Hmm?" He paused. Opening his mouth, he blinked, then shut it again. Well... How did one make someone a member of their family? For him, it was Amerlei's warm eyes, her inviting tone of voice when she asked him to stay for good.
"Well... I think you just ask, and go on with it?"

"Mmm." Pyre mused, nodding her head slighlty. So, all she had to do was ask, eh? Just a 'how would you like to be mi hermano?' It seemed easy enough...
But Van already had a family, did he not? She wouldn't want to pull him away from his family, that would be no buena at all! But she really liked Van already, for he had been her tutor to this new land.
Her golden eyes flashed suddenly, an idea scrolling popping up into her mind. Did one not actually have dos(two) familias? Si, they did. One from their madre(mother)'s side, and another from their padre(father)'s side. It was decided then.
"senor Van, how would you like to be a part of mi familia?"

Van blinked, surprised at the mare's words, at her brilliance when she suggested it. It's like, she was so sure of herself, not afraid of being turned down even once. Slowly, a smile rose over his muzzle.
"Pyre... Final Pyre All Expired, if I may..." He paused, arching his neck and pulling his tail to himself. "I'd be...honored. Truly! But why me?" He tilted his head to the side almost quizzically. They'd only just met...
But then again, he'd only just met his family when they welcomed him into their home.

"Well....because you were the first one I met here, and you were kind enough to show me the ropes, as you say here. You are an, um, anomaly. Yes that's the word. Most creatures don't give strangers a second thought. Yet you were actually concerned for my well being. And that, my brother Van, is why. Gracias.(Thank you)" She dipped her head, smiling gratefully at Van. He had actually accepted her request!
"Welcome to mi familia."
