He snorted. " I dont think I can just leave the only family Ive ever known dragon or not." Ryu sighed and sat down. " You are right though I shouldnt be letting them "Henpeck" me. Its not like Im a kid. Still Im not just about to leave them."

Brittania smiled. "The only other option is to tell them to sod off, but that's too scary, eh?" Brittania made herself comfortable in the scree and sunbathed. "I left the only family I'd ever known. In graves or patches of ash," she chuckled.

" Oh....Im sorry..." He said in a soft voice trying to be gentile. Ryu laughed nervously. " Well if it makes you feel better I have no idea where my real family is let alone weather they are alive or dead?"

Nah she didn’t.
Brittania blinked. And then laughed. “Oh, Ryu,” she said. “Of [I[course your family is dead. They were dragons. They’re all dead except for the few of us. The only difference is; my family died first.” She yawned. “So what’s your next port of call?”

Brittania smiled. “Well there are a few caves you could visit here. As long as Jin didn’t see you. He’d probably kill you. He’s been practising. He’s nearly as good a fighter as a girl,” she said proudly. “You seem… what’s the word… all…contorted. You need to find yourself a girl.”

" I really dont see how thats any of your business..." He thought of Dreamer again and blushed. " If you MUST know I already .. have a girl.. I guess.." He wanted to change the subject quickly and deciding to be brave. " Where are these caves?"

"Around the way a bit," Brittania sat up. "Very lovely gem patterns. Emeralds mostly, but some amethysts and rubies. There were sapphires but I don't like them so Jin dug them all out and buried them someplace. There's also one with a very nice indoor waterfall."

" Lets go check out the gems." Hed never seen real gems stones up close before. He walked ahead a bit and realized he had no idea where he was going. He coughed. " Lead the way."

"Okay," said Brittana. "I won't be able to go all the way though. I'm kind of stuck here." She began picking her way through the rocks, climbing carefully.

Brittania smiled. "No. No man could hold me if I wanted to go." She shuddered as a repressed memory returned to the fore. "I... can't fly in my condition." She scrambled clumsily down a boulder.
