"I don't know." She said slowly. "I think the doors may still work, unless the snowstorm blocks them out or something. I don't wanna be stuck here!" Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at the snow-grey sky. "I wanna go home."

He caught one of the chains of her swing and stopped her just long enough to give her a hug. "If your door doesn't work, you can come stay with me," said Carlisle firmly. "An' then we can come back to school and check your door or maybe if you live in Gaia too my aunt could take you home."

"I wanna see where you live!" She exclaimed, licking her legs up in the air. "New places are cool!" She declared. "But still, I don't wanna be snowed in, I waan be able to go to my home."

He smiled. "Then you can come over one day when it's not snowing, right? You can have dinner or something and we can do homework. That way we can go right home after, right? And that'll be nice!"

Cecelia thought about this for a moment. She'd never been over at another child's house before and the entire thing sounded like a grand adventure.
"Yes! That would be awesome! And one day you can come see where I live, too." She smiled gaily.

"Yeah," agreed Carlisle, who had certainly never been to another child's house before. It would be an interesting experience to actually meet someone else's parents.
Not like they could meet his mama. She was busy at school.
He paused, furrowing his brow as he continued to push Cecelia gently on the swings. "I have oreos in my backpack," he offered. "Do you want some?"
