Raco had never in his life heard the green wood described as such, to him the dryness of the air around him hurt his lung from their lack of moisture and he longed for the shade and greens of the forest. But he was not one to judge, for he was not sure many wolves would do as he was doing and never giving up in the search for his loved one. "One would grow used to t'e land after a time. Yes...." he said looking out over the expanse of emptiness that seemed to spread on forever. "But eac' one of us is always entitled to w'at suites us t'e most. T'is seems to be your element." he said with a short laugh.

He gave a slight grin back. "T'is is true, you are not'ing like any wolf I 'ave ever met before." he said flexing his paws a little.

Zira grinned slightly as she saw the dark male consider her words, she wondered how he considered her terrain. Too harsh, that was why other wolves stayed away, because the air here scorched their lungs, dried their noses, and blistered their paws. "Yes, we should each have what suites us, I think Raco that what would do you best cannot be gotten from the land. Your best suited to being wherever your beloved is. That you would cross this territory is proof enough of that, and of your devotion."

Her torn ear flicked back and she shifted her weight slightly the heat pounding down on her in its' usual steady rhythm.

If Raco could have he would have blushed, but he felt the heat rush to his face and muzzle. "Yes, and t'ank you, I will do w'atever it takes to find my Asharadine." he said feeling the strength in his voice." he said sitting himself a little.

"You Zira, 'ave a strengt' few wolves 'ave. T'at is to live in a world in w'ich most of us would avoid altoget'er. T'is land would waste away most, if not nearly all w'o come across it, and yet you seem to t'rive here." he said with admiration. He knew he could not live his life in this land, but it suited Zira, he could not doubt this.

At this he pondered on what it would be like to find a pack of wolves who lived their lives out here, raising pups and thriving as she did.

"I wish you the best of luck Raco, when you find your mate I would like it very much if you returned this way so that I might meet her. Of course if you find an easier path feel free to take it." She chuckled softly.

"Perhaps someday I'll find others like myself who might thrive in a place such as this..." She nodded as she looked around, besides the few rocky outcroppings the land was a flat shimmering place of heat. Some wolves might call it hell, but for Zira it would always be home.

Raco gave a slight toothy grin at the ragged female. Her kindness was far and few between when it came to wolves who lived alone, especially in conditions that were harsh. Yet her heart seemed to actually have a softness to it that none would expect.

"I shall be sure to come again, once I 'ave found Asha, we will come and bring you a gift." he said debating on what sort of gift he could truly bring. A large parcel of meat he was sure would greatly please the female, in a land such as this, plump meat of a deer or rabbit would be a treat and something different to taste.

Raco looked back over the scape of glittering sand that seemed to stretch out forever more, but he knew out there it ended and connected with the shade of trees and the soft grass, other wolves thriving in pack of amazing numbers. "Someday, I believe 'ou will find ot'ers w'o will strive by 'our side." he said. He could not survive this harsh land, but if Zira could, so could many others.

She nodded at the male and smiled glad that she might look forward to company again someday. The days and nights were lonely, but she survived well enough, and someday hoped to have others at her side. Still the peace she found in solitude was well worth the pangs of lonliness or she would have moved on to lush lands long ago.

"I believe so as well, until then..." She shrugged softly and nodded to him encouraging him to head off while the sun set and left light and cooler weather coming in for him. A wolf could die walking too long while the sun was high in the sky. "Until we cross paths again Raco."

Raco nodded his head the female. "I 'ope t'e next time we meet t'at t'ere will be ot'ers by 'our side." he said giving a friendly nudge to the female. He dearly hoped the best for the kind female. Her kindness had moved him as he had seen so little in the passed months.

"Until we meet again, my friend." he said shaking himself slightly of the sand that clung to his dark fur and head off towards the line line of darkness across the horizon which he knew to be the end of the desert and into the sweet comfort of trees and grass. "May the Wolf Gods watch over you." he whispered under his breath and headed off, tail high and nose scenting the winds.

((I believe we can! :3))
