Liam smiled at Lilly, "Hi guys, you wouldn't believe the day I had. People sticking needles in me, I have so many holes in my arm you'd think I was a heroin addict." he said. He looked at Jacob and sighed, "They tried something new, some kind of drug that was supposed to work...obviously..." he started slowly.

John leaned forward and peered into the cup,"HO MAN!!" he said excitedly,"oreo... you and I Beth... were cool." he said and took a bite of the McFlurry. He looked over to Lilly she didn't seem to happy by the body motions she was making.

"Wow," Beth got up, going over to Liam's bed, "I would hate having all those needles stuck into me," she said to him. She despised needles, and her mother always told everyone about the time Beth had to get stitches. She shivered at the thought of it.

Lilly smiled at Liam, "Did it hurt?" She asked all ready knowing that it did, but she was hoping to give him the opportunity to feel manly. "I still can't get a shot without crying." She admitted and blushed. She laughed. "Maybe it will give you long luxurious locks." She had a long running joke about The lack of real hair on his head.

John looked at Liam, he could see that he had both of the girls attention. He felt a little left out of the little circle and looked at Jacob. You lucky b*****d... he thought to himself jokingly. He really liked Lilly and was glad she had agreed to go to homecoming with him despite what happened to Jacob. But he wanted more, and knew it probably wouldn't happen. John took off his letterman and put it around the back of Lilly's chair,"If you get cold..." he said and got up and went to the door,"I think I'm gonna go home for a little..." he said and started toward the door and then to the elevator.

Lilly looked back at John, “Thanks.” She said and pulled the jacket on over her light short sleeve shirt. The jacket was warm and comforting; she loved how it felt against her bare arms. “Come back soon!” She called after him a hopeful sound in her voice. She folded her legs under her and sat up higher in her chair. She glanced at Jake and bit her lip. She felt like she was ignoring him.

"yeah..." he said in a barely audible voice as he decided not to take the elevator. But to take the stairs instead. As John walked his eyes narrowed and he drifted off, but still knew where he was going. When he got out side of the automatic doors of the hospital and out to his car. John sat in his car after he got it and turned on the music he put his cell in the cupholder in the front and just stared out of the windows of the car.

Lilly wrapped her sleeved arms around body, and hugged herself. It was so warm, and so nice. Her eyes drifted onto Jake's face and she watched him with an unwavering gaze. Slowly she reached down and grabbed a book from her bag. It was a thick book of Shakespearian comedy’s. She opened to a bookmarked page and began to read aloud,
"VALENTINE

John started his car completely and put his seat belt on, he started to back out. As he did though he looked up to Jacob's room, he could see that the light was on,"I'll never have her while he's still around..." John said and put his car in drive and drove to his house. John took out his phone after he got home and decided that he'd text Marci.
Hey what are you up to?

Beth took a bite of the mcflurry, then offered Liam some, "Here, to ease the pain of all those needles," she smiled, jiggling the cup a little. She looked at her backpack, which had been carelessly tossed by Jacob's bed, and wondered if she still had the movies she'd bought in there.
"Wanna watch a movie?" she asked.

John gave up on his attempt to even contact Marci. He figured she'd answer him sooner or later, but more later than sooner. John laughed at the thought of it. He had just parked his car in his driveway and gotten out when he decided to go back. John was bored, he started walking back toward the hospital though, he needed more time to think.

Liam toom a bite, "Thanks, and yeah it did hurt Lilly. By the way, this hair is my real hair. I haven't been in chemo for months, which let me grow out my hair." he stuck his McFlurry-covered tounge out at her and laughed.

Beth grabbed a dvd out of her backpack and went over to the dvd player in the room. He didn't answer, so it was an automatic Star Trek. If he didn't like tribbles, too bad for him.
