"Yes yes!" Aberforth said obediently, scooting himself closer to Kibela whether or not the lion wanted him to. He felt a hell of a lot safer near this new friend than he did on his own, or even with Uchungu. He smiled faintly, nodding still.
"C-can I hang around with you, Kibela? I... I think you're really strong. I would feel better if I had someone to... talk to..." He had to be the worst at making friends!
It didn't matter if Kibela said no: he was going to follow him no matter what.

... Siiiiigh. Well, it seemed he had made a friend, whether he wanted one or not. At the least, this kid didn't seem like too much trouble. That is, when he wasn't trying to buddy up to baby hippos. Gods.
"If you really want to, you can," Kibela replied finally, tail-tip flicking back and forth a bit.
