Taigi gave off a little groan, 'would father let me take lessons?' He closed his eyes, wishing for the human ability to smack himself, 'of course father would let me take lessons! What bad could ever come from that?'

But if he went to see his father for permission rather than staying with the mare, what if she reconsidered and left, never to be seen by the colt's verdant eyes. On the other 'hand', if he went, he wouldn't need permission if she left. This was because, even though it'd be near impossible, Taigi would find Yazmina eventually. He was going to travel the world, leaving no leaf unturned. And his travels would take place after he grew, after he didn't need his father's confirmation (or so he hoped) to do anything.

So, with that confidence, Taigi gave the mare another attractive, youthful smile. " Alright, miss, I am going to go home to father. But I'll see you again, and when I do, I'll want those lessons!" He felt quite clever, perhaps a flaw, as he turned about. His head stretched back in her direction, bobbing in a parting nod as he flashed her what would be the last she'd see of his foalhood grins. The brush-tipped lion's tail flicked once, and he raced back in the direction he came, following his own tracks excitedly.

Now there was something to look forward to.
