"Forgive me, but I'd perfer to use Ms. Zyn. I am a professional madame." Moreau drove the van through the dense jungle to the island facilities. It was a windy path but he took it fairly quick and smooth. He was intimately familar with with this road and the way he drove made it obvious.
As he pulled out from the jungle the first sight of the lab facilities could be made, and a look to the left revealed the village at a bit of distance. As he approached the lab gates it automatically opened by themselves.
Moreau pulled the jeep into a parking area outside the largest tallest lab building. It rested against the side of the mountain itself, as Moreau beckened for Awen to follow him. The doors opened by themselves as he approached, as they entered into a lobby area.
"We are going up into the elevator." Moreau pointed across the nice lobby to an elevator that didn't have any up or down buttons on it.

"Professional.... of course." She rolled her shoulders a little bit as they entered the lobby. It felt nice to be inside again. When they were inside it was easier to ignore where they were. She was in absolute awe of the beauty of this place, even the facilities seemed to melt into the scenery in such a way that it became one with the jungle. She looked to where Moreau pointed and nodded. "Going up then." She beamed a little bit and started forward towards the elevator. "But.." She said turning her head to look at the doctor just mildly confused about this. "It doesn't have any buttons, how does it know to go up or down, or what floor to stop on?"

Moreau mearly smiled and walked towards the elevator as it opened itself for him. He beckoned for Awen to follow him in. As she entered the doors closed and Moreau spoke loudly and clearly. "Floor 10".
The elevator rose on it's own till it reached the correct floor then the doors opened up again. Moreau motioned to the lab table. "Just sit over there on that table. We need to take care of the initial treatment."
Moreau walked towards the cabnet that with only a wave of his hand over a black panel opened itself. He then pulled out a particular vial.
"I do promise, that with our specialized treatments, before your time here is over you'll be as comfortable in water as though you were born to it." Moreau smiled geniunely.
"We just want to help." he said in his most convincing sincere voice.

"Woah...." Awen gaped a little bit at the elevator and the cabinate. "No wonder this place costs so much...." She mumble to herself as she sat on the table. She looked at the vial in his hand. "I hope so... Nothing else has seemed to work so far." She smiled nervously. "But... you're sure this is safe right? I mean... what side effects could I expect and what shouldn't happen so I know if something goes wrong? You did say this is fairly new right...? All the bugs have been ironed out, have they?" Honestly Awen worried too much for her own good. She just wanted to make sure nothing went wrong in the process. She didn't want to end up more messed up than when she arrived on the island.

"We wouldn't be marketting it if it didn't have extensive testing first. Of course we've worked everything out. We know exactly what it can do and believe me it is completely safe." Moreau smiled as he brought the needle with the vial inserted in it.
He waited for Awen to offer her arm, rolled up her sleeve and injected her with the serum. "You'll be staying in Duplex 21. It's downstairs, I think you'll like it." Moreau grinned. "Food can be found in the central building, along with laundry facilities and everything else."
"All your needs and worries will be taken care of. You'll recieve a treatment schedule shortly." he smiled.
"If you have anything important you need to ask or get information about you can dial 0 on your intercom."
"Enjoy your stay on the island... I'll show you out."

She winced a little bit at the injection. She wasn't particularily fond of needles either.... But she smiled to the Doctor. "Thank you very much Dr. Moreau. you honestly don't know how much this will change my life around...." She got up off of the tableand followed him out. Once outside she took a deep breath and smiled. She was left to explore the island. "Duplex 21, food and other things in the central building, dial 0 if I need help..." She mumbled to herself repeating to try to remember.

Moreau lead Awen down the elevator and out the front gate. As it closed he walked away, leaving her just a small path away from the village.
That night he'd take care of adding her chip, for the time being he had put a small sticker-chip on the inside of her sleeve to track her with.
If anyone let her know what was really going on, he had to be sure he'd still find and make sure she was chipped.

The first thing Awen does as she arrives at the little village is wander around until she finds Duplex 21. She smiled and finally arrived opening the door to her new home. She found it nice but she needed to personaliseit some more. Breaking out her bags she set to putting up her dvd and game collections in an orderly way. She set up her PS2 and Game Cube and smiled. It felt a little more like home already. Putting her clothes away in drawers of the dresser she found in the place she stuffed her now empty bags in the closet.
Once everything was set up Awen decided to go out and explore a little bit. maybe she would go to the central building to get a feel for things. She wondered what other people were on the island and what would have brought them there. She was a little bit worried about it too. what happens if she ran into someone really insane? oh well, she couldn't stay locked up in her room forever.

What have I gotten mysefl into? What I thought was just a island therapy clinic has turned into so much more. This Doctor moreau, a man I had trusted enough to fly me across an ocean seems to have double crossed me. But I'm not alone. Appearently everyone on the island is a part of one of his sick experiments to turn people into animals. I don't know what's going on.... if I even shoulder believe these people. I'm really worried if I'm ever going to see Jon or Marianne or Kelsey or David or Andrew or anyone ever again. What will happen if I stay on this island? I really wish I knew....

Kill Joy...
Awen Zyn Awen stumbled her way into the cafeteria after wandering around hte village for some time. She saw on one side of the town was a large pool of water. She hated it, wasn't being on an island bad enough but there has to be water in land as well?
She brushed a few strands of blue hair away from her eyes as she peered into the cafe. There was one girl sitting nearby feeding a bunny. By the look of the little thing and how it seemed to shake Awen didn't think the thing was her cute pet bunny she brought from home. At least that answered Awen's question about wildlife on the island.
She wasn't really hungry at all but wanted to take a look at everything. She circled the cafe once making sure to note everything and it's place as she passed. As she passed the girl and the bunny she paused. she wasn't as normal as Awen had thought.
Tilting her head a little bit she saw the girl had markings over her body. Probably tattoos. She knew a few people back home who were into the animal marking tattoos and she remembered reading something in Guinness books of world records about a guy being completely covered in an animal print. What was it then..tiger, cheeta? She couldn't quite remember.
Debating with herself a little while as to whether or not to go over to the girl she finally decided to. She smiled softly as she approched. "Um... hello there." She said quiet pleasently. "I'm Awen Zyn."
Colche Colche was so enscopnced with her new found critter that she didn't notice awen enter and it was only when she was addressed that her eyes lifted, they were frightend for a moment, new person, it was always a bit weird meeting a new person. She smiled weakly holding tightly to the ball of fluffled clenced in her slender arms. She had never yet grasped the idea of hello so she simply smiled and tilted ehr head curiously until she felt a tug on the peice of cabbage and she turned her attention abck to the bunny "nice" she whispers a tiny tinny puurr escaping her chest. She wonderd, would she be able to kep this ball of fluff like shew as allowed to keep the shell and the butterfly box? She had to ask somone, maybe this new person would know. She turned her gazeon the girl again and waited, she wasn't exactly master conversationalist she hadn't a clue how to ask if the creature was hers, or for that matter what the long eard creature was.
Awen Zyn Awen didn't know what to do next. this girl certainly seemed strange. She was wondering if the girl was a mute until the murmured "nice" to her little rabbit. Something though was obviously wrong, and Awen supposed it must have been family or friends that had her brought to the island. After all not everyone would know their problems outright like Awen did.
She smiled and tried again for convorsation. "That's a cute little rabbit you have there." she hesitated a moment before motioning to the seat closest to her. "May I join you?"
Strange or not this girl was somebody she'll have to learn about and get along with. The therapy was supposed to take awhile and she couldn't just spend those months avoiding the other inhabitants. She paused a second looking at her ears. Were they..pointed? And her nails definately had a claw-like look to them. But then again she knew a few people who had naturally pointed ears or didn't trim their nails too often. Sure it was just all natural. Sort of fit with her tattoos though.
Colche Colche's gaze followed the female and she listend to the words, she didn't qquite pick out the word rabbit, but she picked out little "little" she mimicks with a dissarming smile. She was as always wearing her pinkish scrubs, her arms, and neckline could be seen very easily, revealing not only the soft, birthmark like sopots, but lines of white where scars had long heald. She gave a further puurr as she got another peice of cabbage for her newly aquired bunny rabbit. Blue eyes focused once again on the girl and she bit her tongus, looking thoughtful she spoke in that little whisper of a voice "Colche" she says simply, stating her name, unlike most people the my name is, part hadn't quite come to her attentuion as important. Still maybe the girl would understand what she meant. She hoped so she needed to know if she could keep the fluffy thing.
Awen Zyn "Colche?" Awen repeated softly as she sat down across from the girl slowly. "That's a cute name. It sounds... French?" She tilted her head a little bit. Maybe that was it! Maybe she couldn't speak english, mayb she was French? Awen thought about this, how to deal with the situation. "That bunny" She said slowly pointing at the bunny. "Is it yours?" She then pointed to Colche. The girl seemed quite curious about that little rabbit. "It's very cute."
Colche "Buh..nee" she spelt out the word, looking at the little fluffy creature she smiled "colche's bunny" she puurrd happily her big icey blue eyes flashing happily for a moment before they went back to thair deep sad blues. She tilts her head softly at the girl, okay the bunny was indeed hers, that was good she wanted to keep it but she had yet to find out who this was. She wasn't fuzzy. She would probably get fuzzy later she supposed, everyone here was a little different. She bit her tongus, looking thoughtful once again as she eyed the girl "no fuzzy" she asked the question, it was a curious one indeed of course, not for colche, she simply wished to know if the girl was fuzzy or not, maybe she was fuzzy in places colche couldn't see.
Quote: She tilted her head but hadn't a clue of what the girl was talking about. Of course she wasn't fuzzy... Why would she be? Well admittingly she did have a fine layer of hair across ehr entire body, but every human did, it was just very very fine hair, not enough to be fuzzy like the rabbit in any case. "Um....uh.. No not fuzzy." She held out her arm to Colche to show her the lack of fuzziness. Though she could only see a little up from her forearm, Awen's gloves sufficiently covered the lower part of her arm and hand. She liked these blue glovse, she didn't exactly know why. She wore them with everything, regardless of whether or not it clashed. Thankfully with the green and blue outfit she was wearing currently it didn't look too off.
Colche Colche looks thoughtful and nods "colche fuzzy" she moved ehr arm a bit keeping hold of her new treasure, bunny, showing her elbows, they were quite fuzzy, it was the only place she was really fuzzy, the only place the syrum had started to take what would eventually cover her entire body. She went back to coddling the rabbit then, she still hadn't aquired the girls name, maybe she didn't have one? hmm, well it didn't matter, she had funny hair, she would think of the girl as funny hair til she found out her name.
Awen Zyn "Colche..fuzzy?" She stared at the fur on her elbow when she held it out. Awen st in numb surprise. Well... she supposed that..some poeple are naturally.... After all people she saw on TV that were called "wolf people" and were around with this one circus, it happened right? She didn't really know what to say to that sort of thing but she put her usual smile back on her face. "Um..." Seeing the slight odd look on the girls face upon looking at her hair. "Do you like it? Dyed of course but I thought the colour was stunning.... But your's is very pretty and long too. I wouldn't be able to stand having that long of hair. too many knots." She stopped herself realising she was probably talking too quick for the girls to understand. She pointed to her hair. "Awen's hair pretty?" She asked before pointing to Colche's hair. "Colche is very pretty." She smiled softly hoping that would work.
Colche "Awen" she smiled lightly there was the name, she nodded softly "pretty" that little puurr escaped ehr again "very pretty" she mimicked this time, perhaps she had just fiound a new phrase though. She wrinkles ehr nose justa little as she smiles "bunny very pretty" she makes a tiny giggle stroking the rabit she still held on to like a precious gem. She licks ehr lips a bit and managed to reach for a peice of toast that was on ehr place, she stuffs it down her throat as swiftly as she can adding a peice of bacon and asausage to the swift scoff before turning her attention on Awen "Awen beach?" she tilts ehr head softly. would Awen wish to go to the beach? it was her usual routine, though she wonderd if she should go and put her new 'posession' in ehr duplex first.
Pyroth Ignatius Pyroth had gotten bored sitting around and left his duplex for a time, making his way discreetly to the cafeteria, hoping to sneak a binge eat in without anyone noticing. However, as he drew nearer to the doorway, he caught the sound of voices from within. Damn.
Still, he had made the concious decision to go and have something to eat, and he headed in and straight towards the tables where the meat sat, ready for the taking. He picked up a plate, piled it high and sat down to munch, only then sneaking a glance at the two talking before digging into his meal.
Awen Zyn Awen sat up straighter and her eyes widened at the mention of the beach. She seemed to be afraid. "No!" She yelped alittle bit before forcing herself to calm down. "um... No... No beach." She gulped a little bit.
She glanced up to the person who entered the cafe. He certainly like his meat. He seemed... a little strange as well. The same kind of pointed ears Colche had. And he also seemed a little...fuzzy as Colche put it. Awen seemed to grow worried. What sort of people was she sharing the island with really?
Colche "PYROTH!" Colche shouted, yes, she acctually shouted a greeting her big cool blue eyes glimmering happikly as she noticed the first man she had met on this island. he had taught her many things on that firstmeeting and she hadn't seen him since. People she supposed, vanished on the island, she didn't know why she didn't seem to see anyone she knew any more. She looks hopeful that he will join them but her attention is drawn back to the blue haired girl whom sat at the table with her. The shouts of no made her pout a little, she would go on her own then, or maybe, maybe pyroth would come. she glanced at the other table again, didn't he like her any more? noone seemd to like ehr any more everyone had vanished.
Awen Zyn Awen jumped when the girl had shouted to the guy at the other table. Pyroth was his name it seemed... She looked back to Colhce and noticed she seemed sad. She hadn't meant to offend the girl. Maybe she could explain...? "Um..." She triedto think of how to word this so she just said it basically as Colche seemed to speak. "Awen afraid of beach." She said quietly. "Sorry." She honestly didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. but she couldn't go to the beach at all. Her stomach knotted just thinking about it so she slumpedback down in her seat.
Pyroth Ignatius Pyroth hadn't wanted to interrupt Colche and Awen, so had wolfed down his food before speaking. However, as Colche's happy yell reached his ears he gave her a warm smile (lined with razor sharp fangs XD) and said "Hello there Colche"
His gaze then came to rest on the new girl, at least she was new in that he had never seen her before and she seemed to still be relitively normal in appearance.
You poor thing, I wonder if you even know what this place is about, really?
He felt a stab of anger towards the doctor once again, another subject, another life probably dashed on the rocks. "Hello."
Amaya Vaughan Amaya heaved out a sigh as she approached the cafeteria. Man... what a bummer these past few days have been. She frowned and approached the cafeteria door, pushing it open without even a glance around the tables as she grabbed herself a bottle of water and an apple, not really feeling much up to eating a lot today.
Colche Colche smiled, people seemd to be coming out of the wood works today "amaya" she puurs, quieter this time, all thoughts of the beach dashed from her muddled mind, she stood, her bunny still held in her arms she wanderd over to pyroth with a grin on her pretty face. "colche fuzzy pyroth" she smiles, looking proud of herself, it was something that didn't bother her being all fuzzy "colche bunny" she shows him the rabbit which she held on to tightly and had long ago calmed enough that it no longer twitched and fidgeted though it did still breath rather swiftly. She looks in all directions naming the people she knew, the new person who wasn't fuzzy was awen, and Amaya wasn't fuzzy either but she liked the beach and pyroth was very fuzzy and nice " she wanders back over to Awen then sitting back at the table looking back hopefully at Pyroth to see if he was joining them. "Amaya" she speaks the liozard girls name again tilting her head curiously. this was the first contact she had had in days she wanted to see everyone and show them her bunny.
Awen Zyn Awen was taken aback by the man's fangs and the seeded anger in his voice. She wasn't sure if that was meant to come out in his hello, but it seemed to to her. "Um. H-hello there." She smiled nervously to Pyroth. "Pyroth was it? Im...Awen Zyn, nice to meet you."
She glanced over to the other girl that walked in. She seemed to have some sort of skin condition... Maybe some cream would help her... She didn't seem to be in a good mood at all either.
She seemed to be pretty frazzled by everything that she had just learned this day. She sat back on her chair nervously looknig at everyone. She knew this place was supposed to be a mental therapy clinic, but she didn't really know how bad it all could be. She assumed the people would mostly be like her, knowing the problem and trying to solve it. But these people were either oblivious to their problems or just...looked so strange. MAybe it was a bad idea to come here. She wished she was back on mainland with her friends.
Pyroth Ignatius "I'm Pyroth Ignatius." was Pyroth's short reply to Awen, his attention was suddenly divided between many things, firstly, Colche's very different appearance.
"They got you too?" he asked her with just a hint of chagrin. Colche didn't seem to mind, her transformation must have been relitively pleasant. He was glad of that much. "Yes, now Colche fuzzy." he affirmed with another smile. "We should get badges in this club I think."
His gaze next fell on Amaya, who was not fuzzy but very scaly. "Bad day?" he asked.
Amaya Vaughan The young girl blinked and turned around upon hearing her name. Until now she haden't really noticed anyone else, having zoned out the past few days and keeping herself occupied with small tasks. She knew Colche and had met the man Pyroth breifly the night of that whole drinking party thing. The other girl she didn't know, but the thought that she might be new here didn't cross her mind. "Hello Colche. How are you doing?" Slowly she walked over, clawed toes clicking on the floor slightly.
Green gaze then fell on Pyroth and she gave a slight smile. "Yeah, more like bad week." Another sigh escaped her lips as she sat down across from Pyroth but close to Colche and the other girl whom she didn't know.
"By the way, my names Amaya." She smiled slightly and waved her long, clawed hand at the new girl.
Colche Colche smiles looking overly proud of herself she lifts up the bunny that was happily resting in her arms "colche bunny" she nods lightly her big blue eyes happy to see faces she knew. She had almost become used to seeing people that wouldn't hurt her now that it was nice to se them all together. Licking her lips she goes back to coddling the bunny, now lots of people were here she could proudly show off her newest posession with bravo.
Awen Zyn She looked curiously to Pyroth when he had asked Colche "They got you too?" What was that supposed to mean? Maybe he was one of thsoe conspiracy nuts. She opened her mouth to speak but was interupted as she saw Amaya approching.
Her jaw dropped at Amaya noiticing for the first time the clawed feet and hands. there were no longer any excuses, any denials, any coincedences. Somethingstrange was definately going on here. Or.. maybe she had just had a long day.
She tittered a little nervously and slowly started from her seat. "Nice to meet you Amaya, I'm Awen Zyn.... and I think I'm a little dillusional. I've.... had a rather long day. I think maybe I should go back to my room and lay down." She laughed a little. "You would probably think I'm crazy but it looks to me as though you have scales and claws. I mean I was making up excuses for the other two.. I mean some people are just..naturally hairy with bigger ears and teeth, it happens. And well Colche obviously was tattooed.... but you.... I can't really think of another explaination. It must be the long flight or the ...water that's making me just a little too paniced to this point. Sorry...I sound crazy..." And indeed she was rambling.
Pyroth Ignatius Pyroth for the first time ever lost control to his instincts, letting out a low snarl, he felt the hair rise on his back where his hackles would be. It was a sound that was foreign to a human, like a buzzsaw, laced with menace and a bizzare blend of human and animal. He did /not/ have big ears. "Well, dear, our appearances are a result of something unpleasant going on on this island. I wouldn't sleep away your normality, the quicker time passes, the quicker you join us."
And with that, he got up and left the room, not wanting to get into another discussion about the possible horror of what he would become as time passed, he was already riled and didn't want Colche to see him get madder.
"Later." Was his last comment as he left the cafeteria, into the daytime.
Amaya Vaughan "Yes, Colche cute bunny." Amaya smiled and nodded, taking a drink out of her water bottle.
Oh s**t, this girl didn't know? Her eyes widdned and she stood up, clawed hand held out to Awen. "Wait! Your not delusional! Sit down, 'kay? And I'll tell you what's... really going on." She looked down at her feet and immediantly wished she hadn't.
Upon hearing the growl from Pyroth's general direction she froze up, watching him leave without a word. Poor guy...
Colche Colche pouts slightly her hugs baby blue eyes went from amaya to awen, hearing pyroth growl, she cringed slightly holding tightly to the bunny in her arms "bad" she whisperd looking at Amaya, then back to the frightend Awen "Tattoo?" she tilted her head softly wondering what a tattoo was. She bites her tongue "brave like starfish" she said looking at Awen, it was the best thing she could think to say right now , she wanted Awen to be brave like the starfish. "awen brave like starfish" she smiles hopefully, anting everyone to calm down all thsi sudden movement made her twitchy.
Awen Zyn She stared at Pyroth as he chewed her out. She didn't mean to.... she didn't want to make anyone... Wide eyed she sunk back down into her chair once he left. What was going on. None of this made any sense. She put her elbows on hte table and put her face in her hands trying despretly to hold back the tears of frustration and confusion and possible hysteria. Everything was pretty much blocked out until she heard Colche's all to innocent voice. "Awen brave like starfish."
Although the thought of starfish made Awen's skin crawl she looked up to Colche. A moment just looking at her with an unreadable look then a small smile drifted to her lips again. "Thanks..." She said softly.
Glancing back to Amaya she looked helplessly "I didn't mean to cause such a fuss... I... I just don't know what the heck is going on. I mean I come to the island, a friggin island to get rid of my hydrophobia, that took a lot right there. I flew for a good portion of the day over the ocean, that was just... crazy I almost had a heart attack. And now I get there and see...see... whatever happened to you all. What else am I supposed to think other than I'm going crazy? I didn't mean anything by it, I didn't want to get anyone upset...."
She looked again on the verge of tears. "I want to go home... I don't care about the therapy anymore. I just want to go home..." She slumped back down onto the table.
Amaya Vaughan Amaya could taste the raven-haired girl's fear and winced at the sensation. Forcing herself to smile she walked over to Colche and patted her shoulder. "It's okay, Colche. Pyroth just got a little mad, that's all... okay?" She tried to sound encouraging, but seemed to be failing.
She frowned and took a seat next to Awen, a clawed hand on her shoulder and her food forgotten. "It's okay Awen but... what did they tell you about this island? Why did you come here?"
Colche Colche smiled weakly. People seemed so upset around here. She gave a slight shver and rose from her place at the tabe. She picked up the bowl of cabbage sprigs and smiled "number seventeen" she said, clinging to her bunny she potterd off back to her duplex. She wonderd, should she ask aubrey about the bunny? Maybe, she would press the button, she would press the button and ask..maybe.
Awen Zyn She watched Colche go. Seventeen...? She must mean Duplex seventeen.... Awen made a mental note of it. She looked back to Amaya. She took a deep breath and spoke more slowly. "I'm afraid of water, in fact I have a phobia about it. I've been to a lot of therapists but nothing has worked. One of the doctors I went to said she heard about this island and Moreau's experimental techniques. She said I would have a chance at getting better here. If Moreau couldn't help she said forcing me to be surrounded by water would certainly help. I looked into it and Moreau said he had just the thing to rid me of my hydrophobia...." She looked down at the table near tears again. She was wondering what she got herself into. She wondered if she would ever see Jon again...he was her best friend, he was the one that convinced her to come here. was it all just a big mistake...?
Amaya Vaughan The young girl waved to Colche as she left, but quickly turned back to the rather upset Awen.
Amaya frowned and looked down, absently wondering if Moreau planned on turning the poor girl into a fish or something. That would just be... cruel. Green gaze traveled back up and she let out a shakey sigh. "Well... it's not a resort for therapy or anything 'cause Moreau... uhm..." She tried to find how to describe it without killing Awen mentally. "He reels people in with lies and he... uses them as guinea pigs to turn... into... animals." She winced at her own words and kept her head down.
Awen Zyn Awen tried to make sense of this. "Turn them into animals!? But that isn't possible! How can he do that?" She seemed perplexed by this but resolved on denial. "It's not possible. Not Moreau. He wanted to help me. He told me he wanted to help me, that he would help me. He's such a nice man he wouldn't lie." She had one of those hysterical smiled on her face as she sat up straight and shook her head. "I get it... I get it." She gave a short laugh. "This is your way of heckling the newbie isn't it? Make them think they're even more insane than what can be helped. Honestly good job though... all that fake furr and scales. so realistic but obviously fake." She grinned a little. "Why didn't I figure it out before? Good prank though!"
Amaya Vaughan Amaya truely didn't know what to say and listened to her, unable to look up. She wondered how hard it must have been for Ambrose and Mr. Dude and Greer to tell everyone who came what was really going on. A few minutes after her rant was finished she looked up, meeting Awen's gaze with her own. Her expression was sad, hurt, and not all amused.
Awen Zyn She saw the expression on Amaya's face and slowly sunk back to this new strange reality. "It's true isn't it?" She said rather flatly. She had so many questions but the look on the girls face just halted all of them. As hard as it was for her to cope with this... that girl was already on her way to being ..whatever it was with scales. And she was younger than Awen. "I'm sorry Amaya..." She said quietly and put a hesitant hand on her shoulder. "I'm really sorry..."
Amaya Vaughan "Yeah... I'm sorry too." Her eyes went back down, clawed hands gripping the edge of her seat. "From what I know were gonna be stuck here forever and gradually be turned into animals... that's what the shot thing was for. The first one doesn't do anything but while your asleep he injects you again and... this... happens." She vaugly gestured to herself. "Everyone is turning into something different. I don't even know what I am anymore... just some sort of lizard or something."
Awen Zyn Her hand slowly slipped from Amaya's shoulder. She was terrified oh what the doctor had in store for her. Maybe he was turning her into a fish. She shuddered at the thought. She tried to get her mind off of herself. She had been thinking too much of herself lately. "Amaya.... what...what brought you to the island...?" She blurted it out without really thinking just needed the convorsation to go somewhere.
Amaya Vaughan Green eyes looked back up, then off to the side. "Oh... uhm... They told me it was a special resort thing for orphaned teenagers. It was either stay at the orphanage or come here. I chose the latter."
Awen Zyn Awen nodded a little bit. This girl was an orphan too? Awen's heart sank, Moreau really did prey on the weaker end of society didn't he...? "My...parents died when I was young too. I... know what it's like to be without parents. if I were you I probably would have done the same thing."
Amaya Vaughan "Really?" Amaya blinked, surprised and was hesitant for a few moments before finally asking. "What... happened to them?"
Awen Zyn Awen bowed her head for a moment before looking back up to Amaya. "I don't know exactly what happened to them." She sighed a little bit. "We were at our seaside cottage, I was seven at the time. Mom and dad went off on the boat earlier while I stayed and played with some neighbours. A storm rolled in later that day... and my parents just never came back."
Amaya Vaughan "... I'm sorry." She looked at her food, now not really hungry at all. "Mine died in a car accident."
Awen Zyn Awen returned the apology before trying to change the subject. This meeting was all too gloomy as it is "Say..you like video games at all Amaya?"
Amaya Vaughan "Huh?" Amaya looked back up, rather surprised but grateful for the subject change nonetheless. "Yeah, why?"
Awen Zyn She grinned a little bit. "I talked the Doc into letting me bring a little entertainment to the island. I got a Game Cube and a PS2 set up in my Duplex." She tilted her head out the door. "I mean what else was a nut job like me going to do on my downtime? I've got a bunch of games and figured you might wanna play."
Amaya Vaughan "Ooo, really?" Amaya immediantly lightened up. "That's cool, what kind of games do you have?"
Awen Zyn Awen began to feel a little bit better, at least she was having a normal convorsation. She leaned back in her chair casually. "Eehh... I've for a bunch of Final Fantasy games, Dark cloud a bunch of RPGs... but as far as two player goes I've got Super monkey Ball, Mario party 6, mario baseball Super Smash Bros Melee.... soul calibur 2.... uh.. and others?" SHe couldn't quite remember what she had packed with ehr on the trip..
Amaya Vaughan "I've played Super Smash Brothers Melee and Soul Calibur 2 before." She grinned from ear to ear, her pointed teeth evident.
Awen Zyn Still kind of taken abck by the pointed teeth but she hid it relatively well this time. She just smiled. "Well then you should drop by sometime and I can kick yer butt huh?"
Amaya Vaughan Amaya gave a small laugh and nodded. "I'm in duplex 20, which one are you in?" She was begining to get rather cold and stood up, grabbing both her apple and water bottle.
Awen Zyn "Duplex twenty one." She stood up when Amaya did. Her stomach started to grumble when she realised she hadn't eaten since before the flight hours ago. "Hm.." She looked down to her stomach then back up to Amaya. "Um, I'm assuming if we're hungry we can just..um grab the food from here right? Free I would like to assume?" Her stomach growled again quite loudly this time.
Amaya Vaughan The young girl nodded. "You can grab any food from here and..." She trailed off, looking around. "Theirs an entertainment center outside somewhere, I haven't gone to it yet. I need to head off though, I don't do so well in the air conditioning anymore." Giving a forced laugh she headed for the door, saying goodbyes and giving a wave to Awen. "Take care!"
Awen Zyn She smiled softly and waved to Amaya. "You too hun!" Her mood sufficiently improved she wandered over to take a look at her selection of food. She ate quietly by herself, almost pleasently though brooding thoughts of the island and never seeing her friend Jon again threatened to sink her. When she was done she left and moved back to her Duplex. "What have I gotten myself into..."

Trying to be normal...
Awen Zyn Awen couldn't stay in her duplex too long. She started to feel trapped and surpressed but mostly so alone. She tried passing the time with some video games, she must have beaten All Star Mode on Smash Bros five or six times in a row before turning it off. It just wasn't helping. The knot in her stomach grew as she thought of her friends. If what everyone around her was saying was true... she would never see them again. More people that were important to her were ripped out of her hands and she was powerless to stop it. She couldn't stand this dull silence anymore. She had to get out had to just go for a walk. She stepped out into the humid air of the island and took in a deep breath. It wasn't quite as refreshing as stepping out on a cool night back home, but it would have to do. A walk was a walk. She strode out from her duplex and into the village, just wandering and exploring trying to keep her mind away from the nagging sense of hopelessness that was slowly sinking through her.
Hargun Aikason Hargun, dressed in less Im-afraid-of-everyone-seeing-my-changes attire, hiked around the village area, toothpick in her mouth as she continuously fiddled with it between her teeth. She had just returned from eating yet another exotic meal of shirmp.. and candy coated insects. "Ive been doing this every day lately..." she said, covering her eyes but looking up to the sun to sneeze. turning her head back to the ground and attempting to let her eyes adjust, she pulled out her orange beanie that was crammed in her pocket and slid it over her head. "And that Halloween thing.." she began to mutter. "I need to get a costume idea for that.. I bet everyone already knows exactly what theyll be." grumbling, she fiddled with the toothpick again. She hesitated and popped at her slender fingers. And my sketchbook.. she respectfully thought, unable to try and count how many days it had been since she had touched it. She countinued to walk until she caught sight (very blurry sight however) of a tall, blue haired girl. She must be new...? she pondered and waved. "Hey uhm... whoever that is?"
Awen Zyn Standing at a mere five foot two inches Awen had always concicdered herself on the short side of average rather than anything tall at all.... except maybe the tall side of short? She looked up hearing the voice and only catches the ending bit of the wave. Another new person.... She had half a mind just to ignore her, pretend she didn't hear or something. But she knew she couldn't do that... "Um, hello there. I'm Awen Zyn." She had said that so many times today she could barely stand her own name right now. She tried to sound cheerful but her concern and slight depression snuck it's way into the deep creases of her voice.
Hargun Aikason Hargun walked up closer so she could at least clearly see Awen. "Oh hey Awen. Yep, you must definately be new.. havent heard yur name at all." she snorted. "Pardon me rambling. Anyways, Im Hargun. Nice to meet yah." She almost threw out one of her long jagged hands, but didnt know wiether or not this islander heard the news. Judging by her expression though, something urked her that she did. "So.. when did you get here?" she asked casually, but careful at her approach.
Awen Zyn "Earlier today..." She said remembering back to just something not so long ago when she was happy and excited about the new life the island would bring. Now she was sunken and depressed about what it could mean.
Trying to snap out of it she smiled a little bit and tried to think possitively. "Beautiful place here huh? Moreau did one good thing picking the spot for this clinic." That was a bonus, she guessed, it was astoundingly pretty there.
But traps are always supposed to look appealing at first...
Hargun Aikason "Indeed he did.." she said. "Just wish he could block out the sun maybe.." she muttered quietly under her breath and coughed to recover. It now prooved to be obvious; her saying about what a great place it was.. yet the look in her eyes gave it all away. "Earlier today huh.. and I figure youve learned all about.. the stuff here, eh?" she asked and scratched at her ear. She must be heartbroken if she figured it out all in the same day.. I was deluded for at least two days. She shifted the toothpick over to the other side of her mouth with her tounge and tried to look sensitive towards Awen.
Awen Zyn "Well....." She sighed. "Yeah. I got a pretty big wake up call from Pyroth really...." She mumbled. She was trying just to ignore the happening of the island, maybe pretend like she didn't know for awhile. But this new girl seemed to cut to the quick.
She smiled though, trying to be possitive. "But hey... there are interesting people here anyway." She smiled. "I guess you get used to it after awhile...right?"
Hargun Aikason "Yea I guess" she said rather suprised. She WAS getting used to everything here like this. She figured shed be depressed day after day about her change, but now she was so used to it, that running around looking like a circus freak felt practically normal. Hargun patted her on the shoulder and grinned, happy to at least know Awen wasnt completely psychotic about the whole mess. "So.. uh.. just curious.." she said then started to quicken. "...Now dont answer if itll cause some sadness amoung us.. Ive seen it happen.. but what did Moreau use to convince you to come here?" she looked down to where she would be holding her sketchbook and shook her head, then looked back up to Awen.
Awen Zyn "Therapy resort. I... was supposed to be treated for hydrophobia. A friend of mine actually convinced me to go." She laughed a little bit. "He practically had to push me onto the helicopter." She smiled but soon her eyes dulled. She would never see him again....
"But the Doctor assured me he would cure the phobia. I'm just afraid now of how. What...what if he's turning me into a fish!?" She started to panic a little at the thought of having to be thrown into the water and live there. She couldn't stand being in the water...at least not now.
Hargun Aikason "Wooah woah." Hargun tried to calm Awen down. "Heh... I got dragged here because they told me I was going to an art community." she sighed and smiled. "But you know, despite turning into animals.. hes doing this for a -larger- purpose.. or at least thats what a staff member has told me. To find cures for really big and bad diseases." she tried to not sound like she was siding with the enemy. "But of course, as its been well pointed out, he hasnt done a good job of finding subjects.. or at least lying to them." "Ugh.. sorry. This discussion happened when I met this one girl here, whose now become one of my best friends. Amaya.. have you heard of her?" she asked.
Awen Zyn "Amaya?" Awen brightened up. "Yeah I talked to her before. She honestly made a lot of stuff make sense. Well... as much sense as this place can have." She paused a moment and thought to what Hargun wassaying. Maybe Moreau was doing it for some form of good. Still..ruining people's lives... That's just not right. "It's just not right..." She mumbled outloud.
Hargun Aikason Hargun wasnt really shocked by Awens answer to the Moreau problem, but did seemed suprised that she knew Amaya. "Really? you met her? Shes really nice." she couldnt help but laugh at the time she came over to find Hargun changed.. it just seemed rather silly then and there. She then took off the beanie squinting her eyes. "She gave me this, the dear.. and I really need to find a way to pay her back." she put it back on, and blinked a few times over to focus again. "Well, anyways, thats what Ive been told. And wither its true or not, we're stuck here. And even though it sounds rather.. uh.. depressing, Im positive youll get so used to it, youll hardly realise where this place is truly and everything going on. Oh.. and have you heard about the Halloween party yet.. er.. maybe you havent. You just got here so.." she lightly smacked at her forehead.
Awen Zyn "Yeah Amaya is really cool...but what's this about a Halloween party?" If she was stuck she might try to enjoy herself a little bit. She smiled a little bit. That sounds actually like a lot of fun.
Hargun Aikason "Oh, uhm.. here, do you mind if we head towards my duplex? I have the whole letter there. I didnt exactly memorize everything on it other than all islanders are invited." She asked, and eyed up in the directions of the duplexes. "Speaking of duplexes, where are you at?" she asked curiously.
Quote: "Duplex 21." She recieted it for the twentith time. "But, if all islanders are invited I'm sure I would get an invite soon so no worries...." Awen looked around a little bit. "Hey um, Hargun. If you don't mind I'd like to go off by myself a little bit... I'm still kind of exploring the place getting used to things. I'll probably see around sometime though.." She smiled a little bit. She paused a moment to think about that. She was actually opting to be alone.... She never opted to be alone in fact she avoided being alone like the plague usually. But all of a sudden she has this sudden urge to just go off by herself? Awen shrugged a little bit. Must have been because of all this new information, the new place... and ththought of loosing all of her old friends forever. Something else tinged inside her about it though, she didn't really know what it was, but something.... Shrugging she decided to ignore it.
"So...see you later okay?"
Hargun Aikason "Oh alrighty then." she said with a smile. "I understand completely." she began to step towards the duplexes before turning around quickly. "Duplex 21... Okay, Ill look for it on my way home. If you ever need anything, you can stop by my place. I live in duplex #16." she began to chuckle awkwardly. "Dont be suprised if it looks abandoned and dark; that probably means Im inside at the time." She then waved and trekked up to her duplex.

Awen returned to her duplex after the long day of wandering the town. Sighing she collapsed onto her bed exhausted. She curled up under the covers and pulled one of her pillows close to her. "It's not right..." Awen mumbled into the pillow. Tears slowly soaked into the pillow as she clutched it tight to her. "It's not fair..." She started to sob. She knew she shouldn't start, because if she started she wouldn't stop. Yet her mind just went on into a spiral of depressive angry thoughts. How could she ever get over this? How could Moreau do this to people!? Awen came here to get better.... Amaya came here to escape the orphanige and god knows what reasons the others were here for. None of them would lead normal lives ever again, they were all just going to mutate into whatever it is they were turning into... Even if they tried to escape, what good would it do them? They could never go back to normal society, they'd be seen as freaks. Images of mobs with pitchforks like in that Frankenstien story crossed her mind. Or maybe they'd just round up the experiments and disect them all. She shuddered at the thought of her half changed and hiddeous cut open on one of those drab grey tables. Worse yet... maybe Moreau was allowed to do this, maybe the governments were in on it and helped fund it? After all, not everyone here had paid through the nose like Awen had she was sure.... Sure of.... She yawned softly. The high energy she had been running al all day was slowly starting to fail her. Before long Awen knew nothing but darkness and a deep sleep. Unfortunately... it wasn't so peaceful....

The sound of waves crashing against the shore could be heard. The smell of salt water filled her nostrils and traveled to fill her lungs. The day was bright and sunny and Awen could feel the sun beat down on her skin as a warm embrace. At first seeing the ocean before her Awen was terrified, her heart started beating faster her breath came shorter... She tried to run but was stuck in place. She was stuck staring at that ocean as the seas started to become wild. In an instant the sky was darkened by storm clouds and Awen felt herself being pulled towards the water. A crack of lightning flashed across the clouds. For a moment Awen was blinded but she blinked slowly and realised she was looknig up at a light. There was a figure above her... She couldn't tell who it was the figure was perfectly silhouetted against the light. But what was this....? She thought she was just.... Awen was back in the water floating. She could no longer see the beach or any form of land. She was in the middle of the ocean with a storm raging around her. she tried to keep her head above water but the waves were getting worse. Struggling to calm the panic she took a deep breath, but all that filled her lungs was salt water. She started coughing just as a huge wave crashed down upon her. She felt a sting in the back of her neck as she tumble through the water. And suddenly hit something solid. Again she saw that light above her but it seemed to be at a different angle....or maybe it was her at the different angle she wasn't sure. But this time she could see a flash of the figure's true form. White...something long a white... firey red at the top.... It was slowly coming into focus, but her neck still stung... The colours soon focused into shapes. The red was hair, the white was a long coat....a lab coat. She looked to the figures face...could it be....? Awen's neck throbbed with pain as the current pushed against it. She tried to right herself and go for the surface but she couldn't tell up from down. The water was dark, she couldn't even see two feet infront of her. Until a light came from ahead of her. Awen suddenly stop thrashing in the water and stared at this light. A creature emerged from the light, silhouetted just as the figure had been. It moved gracefully through the water, almost as if flying. Seeing the animal Awen's heart filled with warmth. She calmed down emensely just gazing at it's hypnotic dance. It drew closer and Awen found she could breath in the water. She watched it approching..... Awen sat right up on her bed and gasped. Sweat trickled down her forhead and her breath was still short. What an odd dream..... Awen's neck gave a little reminding throbe and her put her hand on the hurt. She must have been tossing and turning in her sleep and bumped her neck off of...something, maybe the nightstand... her covers were thrown every which was too, only more proof. But what a strange dream.... And who was that sihlouetted figure above her, what was that animal in the water.... Why did she feel they were both connected? She shook her head slowly and guessed it didn't matter. It was just a dream anyway.... ...right?
