Jacob was slightly startled by the girl's sudden awoken state. He paused on the staircase, looking down into her eyes, feeling somewhat lost in them for the briefest moments. "You are a guest in our house..." he said softly, his voice, a powerful air about it. He realized he was still carrying her, and he continued to the guest room at the top of the stairs, opening the door and gently setting her down on the bed. He watched as she sunk into the sheets gently. "My brother, Edward will be making breakfast soon. Would you like anything in particular?" he asked. Truly, he hadn't noticed it, but it was going into morning... Had it truly taken that long to drive home...?
Edward could hear Jacob talking and only assumed that the woman had woken up. He sighed, leaning against the counter, rubbing his temples. It was strange, but this seemed to be panning out as it had years ago... Years ago with his beloved Elizabeth. He shook his head. No. No one could ever take his love's place... But, that girl... Edward paused a moment, listening to Jacob talk about breakfast...

Renae wasn't sure what to think at first, and her head was still a little hazy. When he set her down on the comfortable bed, her eyes roamed over his form. He was tall, fit, and handsome, she noticed, blushing a little. His clothes were wrinkled from carrying her, but he still looked fantastic. "...I'm not really hungry.." She said honestly, curling into the sheets just slightly. She was tired for some reason.
He told her she was a guest in this house, and so she figured it would be alright to talk a walk when she woke up. She had been about to lay down for a nap when she heard the familiar whiney of horses nearby, and her face almost immediately lit up. "You have horses?" She asked, looking up at her... kidnapper? again. He was kind, though she could tell he had darkness in him... Somewhere. She didn't even wait for his answer before she started talking again. "Oh I love horseback riding..."

He smiled at her, laughing a little. "Yes, a few. But, if you want to go horse back riding, I must enforce that you eat a little before hand.." he said with a nod of his head, knowing his brother would feel slightly hurt if she didn't eat the breakfast he had made. "And besides that, Edward would be disappointed if you didn't have at least a bite of his home-cooked meal," he said teasingly and laughed a little. "By the way, you can call me Jacob," he said with a nod.

"Edward?" Her words held confusion, and then it dawned on her that she was probably talking about the man she assumed was his brother. "Oh yes, that blonde haired man..." She spoke quietly, her stomach suddenly rumbling, and she flushed in embarassment. She had just told him she wasn't hungry, and yet her body decided to betray her with humor. "I suppose I could eat a little..."
She said as she nervously nibbled her bottom lip. This all felt like a fairy tale... A gorgeous man kidnapped her and took her to an even more gorgeous house, with everything she loved and wonderful smelling food. He was kind and mysterious and they seemed to have some things in common. Was she dreaming?
Maybe that's why she wasn't afraid... "Jacob..." His name rolled off of her tongue like velvet, and she smiled, enjoying the way it sounded. "My name is Renae... Some call me Ray..." She said sort of sheepishly, her eyes down cast toward the bed.

The voice came from the door. Unlike his brother's strong voice, Edward's voice was soft and pleasing to the ears in a way that it sounded something like bells and velvet. "People should not shorten a name as beautiful as yours..." he said with a small smile on his face. It was strange... In the light coming in from the window it almost seemed Edward had a strange glow about him. Gentle, subtle, yet a glow nonetheless.
Casually, he crossed the room and stood beside his brother. Here, he took a moment to bow, picking up Renae's hand in his ever so gently, and placing a small gentlemanly kiss upon the top of her hand. "A pleasure to meet you. Breakfast will be served downstairs on the balcony, through the kitchen," he said, flashing her a handsome smile before standing up straight once more. He nodded momentarily to Jacob and left the room without another word.
Jacob scoffed. Edward had always been that way with women. Such a gentleman, they'd say. He frowned a moment before shaking away the thoughts. He was just being nice, right? He turned back to Renae with a smile. "Well, that's my brother, you see. Bit of a cheese ball, huh?" he asked her, hoping, in a way, that she would agree with him. But, she probably wouldn't... Women fell for that kind of behavior... Jacob, on the other hand, was rough and a bit of a "bad guy" as they would say about him. He liked taking walks on the wild side... It wasn't such a bad thing, being a bit rebellious... Being a bit unruly... Right?
"Well, shall we head downstairs, then?" he asked her, reaching out his hand for her to take so that he could help her up...

The introduction was a quick one, and her eyes followed his lips as they kissed her hand. She wasn't used to being greeted in such a way, and so naturally, she blushed. When he was gone, she laughed a bit and nodded. "Kind of cheesy...." She agreed with him, spotting the hope in his eyes. Why was he so jealous of his brother? They both seemed kind, they were both gorgeous, but she felt most comfortable in Jacob's presence... Only because she knew him the most, kind of. Slipping her hand in his, she got off of the bed and straightened her clothing once that was done. "You've both been very kind, though..." She said and smiled up at him, noticing that he was at least a head taller than she was. "May I ask you something?" She asked as they made their way out of the room, though she didn't wait for a reply. "Why did you kidnap me? I mean... You could've just waited until my shift was over, and asked me to come with you..." She found the thought amusing.

Jacob had noticed the smirk on Edward's face as they both spotted they light color on Renae's cheeks... A beautiful blush. It could have melted a cold heart like Jacob's... But the answer to his comment made him smile, though he could tell she probably only half-heartedly meant it. The girl was taken aback a little by Edward's behavior... That much Jacob was sure of.
But her sudden hand in his made him smile... He felt the warmth that was there and wanted to shiver suddenly, but controlled himself. When she asked him the question, a mischievous smirk appeared on his face. "Because, where's the fun in asking permission, hm?" he said, a slight tone of a growl appearing as the words fell from his mouth.

The tone in his voice when he answered her sent tingles running up and down her spine. Though she tried to stop herself, she was smiling, and a fit of laughter bubbled into her mouth. "You're a strange one..." She remarked as they descended the stairs, the delicious aroma of food invading her scenses. "It's refreshing." She continued, not wanting him to take her comment offensively.
((Shortness... sweatdrop The next one will be better, sorry.))

Jacob flashed her a smile and shrugged. "Eh, what can I say... I'm a bit strange sometimes, hm..." he said, nodding as they entered the kitchen. He walked over to where his brother stood over the stove, cooking, at that moment, french toast. "Oi, oi, Edward... No need to make so much food..." he said, giving his brother slap on his back before looking over his shoulder at the array of dishes that sat there.
Edward shrugged, looking up towards Jacob. "Hm, I figured I might as well make a variety, just in case our guest doesn't like something, she can have something else, you know?" he asked Jacob, finishing up the french toast and dishing it out onto a platter. He turned the stove off and walked over, setting the plate down beside everything else. Looking up at Renae, he flashed a charming smile. "I made eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, pancakes, oatmeal, fruit bowls, yogurt, granola, french toast... Take your pick of it all," he said, sweeping his hand in the direction of the many dishes that were scattered along the counter top.

Renae had never seen this much food in her entire life. Her eyes widened as she looked over every delicious dish, and she felt herself smile again. Did they always eat this much food? Surely most of it would go to waste. "Thank you, it all looks amazing." She said politely, smiling back at him. Although she had learned that the two of them were brothers, something told her there was tension between them.
The way they looked at each other sometimes, she could tell there were some unresolved issues. Renae had always been good at reading people... She could sense something eerie about Jacob, dangerous, but it was kind of... Exciting, to say the least. She wasn't usually the kind of girl that went for the bad boys, but there was just something about him. As for Edward, he seemed very nice, but almost too nice. He was the kind of guy that every girl dreamed of, but Renae was a little turned off by perfection.
He wasn't a bad guy, and in fact he was very attractive. However, she could see him being more of a friend, someone she could trust with her emotions to let everything out. Slowly, she reached for the plate of french toast, placing a small piece on her plate, as well as some bacon. She was hungry, but she had never been a huge eater.

Edward bowed toward the girl before lifting his own plate and placing food upon it. "Well, I hope you enjoy it," he said with a bright smile and a sweet laugh before sitting down in his normal chair and beginning to enjoy his meal.
Jacob scoffed once more. "Once again, Edward, you just had to go all out," he said before grabbing his own plate and piling food onto it. By the time he was done getting food enough for himself, he had filled every surface of the plate, plus piled it up. He was a big eater after all.

Renae watched with interest as Jacob piled as much food as he could onto his plate, and she blinked, laughing once he was done. She really did find it entertaining. "Someone's hungry..." She said before blushing, staring down at her own plate and taking small, slow bites. She was blushing because Jacob's eyes had met hers for that brief moment, and for some reason her heart had fluttered, causing her cheeks to flush. She was a little confused by the feeling, but it wasn't painful, so it probably wasn't bad.
When she had finished her food, and Jacob had finished his, she stood, taking the empty plates into the kitchen to rinse. It was just instinct. When she returned, she smiled. "...So... How about that horseback ride?" She offered, blushing again as she gazed at the floor, hands linked together in front of her.

Jacob was in the midst of scarfing down his food when Renae had made the comment and he smiled, his mouth shut, nodding his head. "Mmhmph," he grunted and chewed, swallowing. "Well, growing guy, you know..." he said with a cheeky grin and shrugged. When he finished his food, he motioned to Edward in a playful way, to take his plate away, but before he could turn back to grab it himself, Renae had already taken them. "Oi, oi, that's Edward's job!" he exclaimed and shook his head. "Eh, you're lucky she's here, Edward," he said with a bit of a laugh before leaning back in his chair.
"Oh, horse-back riding. That's right, huh? Kind of promised you that I'd take you after food... Right... Yeah, okay, let's go then," he said with a nod of his head, looking at Edward. He knew his brother would say something before they left, and he smirked. "Yes, mom...?" he said in a joking manner.
Edward looked at Renae and laughed a little. "You're a guest in this house. No need to do the dishes," he said with a nod before hearing the comment, and hearing Jacob's reply. "Ah... Well... Be back for lunch, okay? Even if it's a late lunch," he said with a nod and turned back to the kitchen sink. "Oh, and bring her back in one piece, okay?" he said with a grin on his face.
Jacob laughed. "I'll try!" he said before approaching Renae. "Ready?" he asked her, not waiting for a reply, but rather looping an arm slightly roughly around her waist and hauling her all the way to the stables before setting her down. "Take your pick!" he said, directing her attention to the horses he had.
