The Haven used to be just that. A haven from the utter annoying uselessness of the HP subforum. Now we've got word games, and posts about whether there will be more then 7 books... before you know it, we'll have 'The Avi Above You...' threads... It's disgusting. It's like a mini HP subforum.
No. There will be seven books in the series, and possibly a Harry Potter encyclopedia of the same sort as QTtA and FBaWtFT. That's it. No eighth book, no side stories about Dumbledore or the marauders. None of it.
EDIT: Sorry about my bitchiness, I'm not in a good mood.

oh I really hope that she makes more than 7 books, I'll be glad to read up on more as I alwasy do xd

actually I read in the book muggles and magic, that rowling will be making all 7 books and also more but mainly just on hogwarts thats it, I'll read more into it at a later time

Personally, I find it much, much better to leave your audience wanting more, than to be fullfilled with what has already been presented. Meaning, I think JK should end at book 7.
Furthermore, what would upset you more, no book 8 or a crappy book 8?

I would be perfectly happy with the series ending at book 7. I am excited to see what other subjects that she would write about and would most likely go and buy those books too. 3nodding
