Those are awesome, Brian, seriously.
I like the softer edges of the second one... I really like the drop shadow you used behind the text of the first one... But it also works without... I think those are awesome first attempts... And did you have fun CREATING them? That's the important thing.... biggrin

Rilriia Kilurden Sorry about the zOMG thing Brian, I tried to say hi and invite you to help kill Kat's doll in the Zen Gardens, but the window locked up from the amount of users crowding the damned chest.
There's an easier way to find an image's size. Right click and select Properties within Explorer. It'll display the image's attributes, like so:
I'll try to whip something up, but my mood's been less than stellar the past few days, plus I'm exhausted and trying to kill that mother*beep*ing god*beep**beep*son of a *beep beep beeeeeepppppp* doll....
I can't progress through the damned game until I do. I hope you get happier, hon... And you're right about the properties. That's a good short-cut to share. I should have, and didn't. I opened them in PS because I was thinking of making some templates out of one or the other, but never got around to it. biggrin No biggie... I might jump on this siggie band-wagon, eventually, though... I really enjoyed making the Dr. Steel Propoganda Banners.

I might bring back some of the shadow, just not as pronounced..hmm.. Any other ideas for it? Since your avi's change so often, maybe I could put something else in place of the avi.. I think I have one idea already...................................................................................................................DOT DOT DOT
Color ideas? Shape ideas..borders..etc??

Someone could come up with a GUILD logo/symbol/mascot thingy in lieu of everyone having their individual avies.
Something that REPRESENTS the GUILD as a unit instead of each of us as an individual... Although our individual parts make up the unit, it would/could give a sense of unity among us.
Or some shite. I dunno. It's bloody 3:00 in the morning. Like I'm lucid...

I was thinking that. I can't remember where it was but somewhere I had seen a 3d little guy from The Scream that I thought would look nifty but I can't find it for the life of me.. P'raps we can come up with some sort of gangly starving fellow eating a canvas or something.
I'd also like to change the pic on the main page to something original. Any ideas for that little project?

Hey Bri, what about making this an official guild contest (we can PM the inactive guild mates) for the month of Feb? That'll give you time to wind down from working and all of us to brian storm, plus we'll be back from Boston and not so swamped with crap.
(It's been over a month since I've offered to help, I still haven't been able to do anything with it. I'll try for banner templates with fancy borders or something....)
Besides, not all of us celebrate the holiday formally known as Black Heart Day (ha! take that Prince, I renamed a whole holiday!). So Feb might be a way for those of us who don't to find something constructive (or destructive) to do.
What banner size are you thinking?
Hmmm.... main page... Let me think on that for a bit (will have an answer within a week, I swear-- perhaps a submission).

Sounds like a fabulous idea..altho..I deleted all the inactive members lmao. looks like we need to do some recruiting... We've still got a while until february so if we all can think of something nifty as a prize, maybe we can lure in the suckers..er potential guild members.. with a contest. I'm still not sure what to do for a mascot, but I was thinking of doing some little guy who looks insanely stressed and covered in paint and what have you..with absolutely nothing on his canvass.. might work?

OMFREAKING GAWD!!!! I said "brian storm" instead of "brain storm"..... (see what happens when you type tired?) Okay, while brAIn storming, I decided on using the banner of my siggy as a template size. I hope that's okay with everyone else.
I have sent two more invites out today. Which, if they join would make four to the fold. Do I get a prize? Or a cookie? Or a cookie prize? Or something shiny??? Or a shiny cookie prize????

Holy crap muffins! Firefox didn't lock Photobucket up this time.... sheesh.

We do have a ridiculously long name.. don't know what idiot brian stormed that one up.. someone should kick him for that. Is it possible to change the name of the guild? and if so...to what should we change it to?

I think we're going to have to change it, just because I'm evil twisted And besides, being devoured, body and soul, sounds like a pretty cool adventure, as as my life keeps getting more ridiculously complicated... death by Eric's Katana sounds like an honorable way to go. Gotta warn you though, if I'm going out by sword then I'll have to do it with my viking pride. Meaning, death in battle. Axe vs. Katana.. that would be an interesting match up.
